@@MalleableSound it’s a hit from my point of view !!! !!! Wish you had all the likes and subscriptions that Pop stars receive… Mankind is not what should be … we failed …
very "guitar" like glissandos, for some reason with the title "globe-trotting, i had expected a study in delay ping-pongs, this is better though, these old documentary films are the best, great job!
Absolutely wonderful. It's great how you've manipulated and edited the 'found' visuals and the sound track accompanies the images and really enhances the overall mood of the piece 👍
Thanks MB!! Not many visitors for this piece, which I think is a shame as its one of my better achievements! Of course, YT does not like uploads to be long or even slightly challenging. C'est la vie!!!!
@@MalleableSound Yep, definitely agree should be seen by far more but RUclips (and all 'social media') is a strange world in as to what gets a large audience and what doesn't but each to their own! 🙂
This is reminiscent of what Helmut Lachenmann once called acoustic music concrete, though I also hear elements of 1960s polish school also Penderecki. I grew up listening to this genre and it's nice to hear it again. I love the way the video works with the sound. Great stuff!
Hi again, thanks for finding the time and dropping by. My, that's flattering comparisons!! In truth I am merely a hobbyist who works up a passable pastiche of the kinds of music you refer to. I also try to work in classic electronic music style, and there the School at Polish Radio (1950s-80s) have been influential on me. I do try to link to interesting visuals though which, of course, work well on the YT platform.
@@MalleableSound that's great! If you look at the world's most important creations and innovations (in almost every sector), most were done by hobbyists and tinkerers. Much respect!!!
Hey, are you aware of the films of Charles Burnett?, Killer of Sheep, e.g.?, I mention it because his films have a certain natural realism that is synonymous with this brief film.
Old style construction… (my favorite …. magtape-like sequencial sound events)… another hit!
Many thanks for the support! I wonder what constitutes a 'hit' for this kind of composition on YT???? I fear I am well short!!!!

The title, of course, is taken from the great basketball team which toured through the 50s-70s!!!!
