Thank you for this Devotional Jess, the Lord’s timing is perfect and even though you made this video 2 years ago, today it was for me! Today Jesus wanted me to know and understand that I don’t have to strive! Today I am His Beloved and He has loved me with an everlasting love! I have been following you for a couple months as I really started to look at my time in my garden as part of the ministry the Lord has blessed me with! All the flowers that I was able to bless others with in the last few months were not to fill their bellies as there was food to share as well, but to let them know that they are loved, valuable and worthy of lovely things because that is how He sees each and every one of us! Not sure if you will ever read this comment but I am so thankful I take the time to follow your vlog because I connect to why you do what you do on a spiritual level and even when you aren’t necessarily making a Devotional video you still are always being real with your viewers and that is because you know who you are in the Beloved! On hard days please just know you are prayed for and continue to trust that when the Lord gives you a word to share He knows just who will hear it, when they will hear it and thank you for being faithful to who you are in Jesus! I had found my way years ago and after some trials fell away from my pursuit to continue to know Jesus and for some time now Ive been seeing hints throughout my day to day life of Him attempting to converse with me. A few years ago, I read Rachel Held Evans' book "A Year of Biblical Womanhood". When she got to the Proverbs 31 woman, she told of her conversation with a Jewish woman who told her that in the Jewish faith, Proverbs 31 is considered poetry and is sung by men as a blessing on their wives. I thought this was wonderful and allowed me to read Proverbs 31 with a really different mindset. I think your follow through that this passage is a blessing from God to the church is fabulous. This is not about being task oriented, this is about God's love and grace for us. Bless you Jess!!

Thank you so much Jess for this video. I had to wait until the next day to comment, because I was so torn up inside. I do miss Jesus. I miss the relationship I used to have with him. Somewhere along the line I let sin get in the way, and my efforts to get back to that place by having a checklist of things to do wasn't working. I kept thinking about Revelation 2:5 that says to do your first works over, and I was trying to do all those things which I had done in the beginning but it wasn't working. But now I realize that the first thing I did was not all those things on my check list. The first thing I did was invite Jesus into my life. If I don't let Jesus be in my life, instead of just part of my life, then I'm never going to have that relationship with him which I once had. I want to wake up in the morning to Jesus waiting for me to wake up and he being the first thing I am aware of when my eyes open.
Yes. I love getting together when someone has a devotional. It helps take our mind off the trouble we are in and put our minds on the one that can help us through that trouble.
Proverbs 31 Woman! It is about Jesus. He has confidence in us and wants us to thrive. We are the righteous of Christ which frees us up to be our best self like Him. Teach me your ways. I truly believe the reason your channel is growing is because of this...God is using this platform, the homesteading, your farm, to speak through you to others who would otherwise not hear His word in this way. I honestly needed to hear this so badly...Proverbs 31 was this unattainable standard, and I got to the point that the condemnation made me shy away from anything relating to it. We are such beautiful and intentionally flawed masterpieces that have yet to see the fullness of His epic plan. But he looks at us just like we look at our beloved little ones when they feel like their little world is falling apart, but it’s actually falling into place.❤️

As a single mother, I've often struggled with the concept of becoming the Proverbs 31 woman, since I don't have a husband, and I have always felt inadequate in all of the skills listed. It never even occurred to me that this chapter was in fact referring the spiritual relationship between me and my Lord. Thank you so much for sharing this!

Thank you so much! This is a perspective that Ive never gotten and its honestly been such a burden. I dont know how many times my husband has come home lately and Ive been harvesting and cooking and canning staying so busy that time and other responsibilities got away from me and theres a mountain of dishes, spaghetti sauce on the walls, towers of jars waiting for the pantry, kids school books all over the table, nothing out for dinner, that bill didnt get paid, I look like I just crawled out of bed cuz Ive been too busy since dawn to put myself together, and I feel like a failure because I didnt keep the house and have a good dinner ready. Sometimes just ti hear that Im not alone in that and that its ok is so nice, then you come with all this extra that Ive needed to hear for so long. Thank you.
You are not alone sweetie!!! It sounds like you are a normal mother I have 5 kids and I can tell you it does get better . my kids are grown now and I feel kinda lost now lol .. Anytime you are having a tough day just remember if God leads you to it he will lead you thru it I'm living proof.. God bless you sweetie..

Trying so hard to be a Proverbs 31 wife, I'm now floundering and don't know which way to go, Being in a place where I felt like I couldn't pray and God having placed others in my life who prayed for me has helped so much. I'm better about praying now but not where I need to be. We tend to get caught up and wrapped up in pain instead of being wrapped up in Jesus. Jesus sent this message from you to help me realize I made Proverbs 31 all about my husband to the point that I didn't think it was not getting everything done. I love her devotional about Mary and Martha. It gave me a new perspective. Never let the urgent (things that we think we have to do right now), take the place of the important (like sitting at the feet of Jesus listening, learning and loving).

This devotional, I believe, is what we needed to hear from you today. This is the time of the year when it seems our plate is not nearly big enough for the tasks we put on ourselves. We are so busy we don't slow down to have conversations with the lord, or listen. It may not be emotionally driven, but inside me, it was emotionally needed today. Thank you. I enjoy the devotionals and also find that when one is moving it allows access to other thoughts and emotions to channel through that otherwise would not be expressed, keep up the work. You ARE a masterpiece.

Thank you! I needed this. After just a short year, my marriage has failed. Trying so hard to be a Proverbs 31 wife, I'm now floundering and don't know which way to go, Being in a place where I felt like I couldn't pray and God having placed others in my life who prayed for me has helped so much. I'm better about praying now but not where I need to be. We tend to get caught up and wrapped up in pain instead of being wrapped up in Jesus. Jesus sent this message from you to help me realize I made Proverbs 31 all about my husband to the point that I didn't think it was not getting everything done. And then the walls came crashing down on me. Thank you so much for sharing this when I needed it.
