She will never die, and I will never tire of enjoying her gifts. I am almost 85 and she has been nourishing my soul for as long as I can remember. Her album DAY BY DAY was one of the first LPs I owned. Picking a favorite movie or song is impossible. Hearing her sing PERHAPS in the movie STRICTLY BALLROOM was the perfect blend of dong and dance. She never gave up and she never let us down. Great blessings from a great lady.

Doris simply had that positive forward look, like tail fins in the 50s. She was a survivor of the Hollywood structure. Today 93 and not a drunk bone in her body. I will miss her still unique voice.
