Good to see JT Daniels finally being rewarded with wins over the last 2 weeks for his high level play. Should be 4-0 if the receivers and defense around him didn't squander it away for the first 2 weeks.
Yeah honestly could be 4-0 if not for somd dumb mistakes on the field and if the D can ck anything against freakin Kansas.
After Kansas destroying Houston that loss doesn't look that bad especially Considering we should have won if not for a dropped punt
William I'm still embarrassed about losing to KU in Morgantown , but yes it's not as bad as I initially thought. Seems Kansas is actually pretty decent for once. When you have a duel threat qb, and run that quirky triple option you're a threat on a week to week basis. Teams just aren't prepared for it. WVU seemed so confused most of that game.

A nice win for WVU in a tough environment. However ESPN with their highlights and commentary you would have thought Va Tech won the game instead of being dominated on both lines of scrimmage. Also I like how a Va Tech field goal warrants a highlight, but no WVU field goal did. Nice job highlighting that punt that pinned WVU deep, but didn't show anything of the 92 yard drive for WVU from that point that led to a field goal. The desperation to make VA Tech look good since the ACC is an ESPN league is amazing.
Exactly! If a drive results in points it needs to be in the highlights, especially since the highlight "pinning" us was moot.

Went to pitt and Kansas. Pitt was great environment but the Kansas game sucked. We lost in the rain
Big 12 in general should be honestly. Even Kansas is starting to shine.
Big 12 seems to be the most balanced conference so far this season. Nobody too great, nobody who really sucks. It's pretty cool.

@@loganhurst8229 yeah dude that's just what we have to deal with every year with the new rules. WVU makes him a RB and he becomes a overnight sensation and possibly bolts. The portal is fair to the players , but it doesn't mean I have to like it.
By far the best Johnson has looked. We’ll see if he can keep it up.

We could see this rivalry more often if West Virginia left big 12 to the ACC.
Its not that easy
If you look at the tv deals and how they're shaping up , the Big 12 is probably in better shape than the ACC long-term. Especially if they poach 4 PAC schools. It's not looking good for Clemson and Florida St staying in the ACC if rumors are correct. Me personally I want to be in the same conference as our traditional rivals , but like the poster above stated it's not that simple.
They could schedule the games without leaving the conferences. Better for the rivalry to have more than one conference interested.
WVU wants to continue the OOC games, like Pitt did, but the Va Tech AD indicated he preferred "weaker" P5 teams and annual intrastate games with ODU and Liberty. I hear their out of conference games are filled until 2031.

This might be the worst hokie team I've seen in 20 years
I know considering we should have had a couple more TDs and settled for too many fgs. We pretty much dominated every stat in this game. I do think the wind played a role with some bad passes though. Probably on both sides. But luckily our run game was outstanding. Theirs was not.

VT used to be good. But it’s been years. I love it.
The Vick Brothers carried them against us for a while. Now not so much 50/50 coin flip still since it is a rival.

I think WVU will playe better it they implement Cj Donaldson at RB. He plays like he has a chip on this shoulder. He did it against Pitt & they didn't utilize him until it was too late. Because Tony Mathis acts like he deserves it but can't break big tackles. They can't even touch Donaldson until he's 8(+) yards past the line of scrimmage.
He's basically taken over RB1. Maybe not on the depth chart, but he's getting the most touches & rightfully so! Keep feeding him & give Johnson Jr. some quality touches!

maybe, as you well know WVU left a lot of points out on the field ... VT needs to get that running game going and you guys will be fine... your QB is good & so is your WR... but it is important not to be one sided football team.

If this is full highlights then you need to show the field goals as well. If all of a sudden the score changes and you don’t know how it got to that point then it’s not a good recap.

My thoughts exactly.
VT has one of the top fan bases in college football however their teams rarely match their fan base. It doesn't seem to matter to the Hokie fans as they come back each year with the same excitement for football. I mean if you don't like football you might want to go elsewhere to school.
As a WVU fan there's a lot of similarities between the two school's fanbases. We're blue collar for the most part and loyal to our teams. We'll love our teams no matter what.

Yeah it’s upsetting. We (Tech) have always had high expectations ever since Beamer retired. Most of us haven’t been able to accept the fact that we will not be a good program again for some time since Fuente ran our program into the ground. It’ll take a lot of time but I think Pry knows what he is doing. Respect to WVU, they had the better team and won fair and square. Just wish we would play them every year.

Stroman should get a week suspension for that hit.
If the foul occurs in the second half, the player is disqualified for the remainder of the game and the first half of the team's next game. So almost a week's penalty.
