Funny thing is, I have no access to the partition where the System is on by default.. I gave it a path, but I cant see the files in there, so I cant move them. They are invisible
Hello, I'm a little confused in using AOMEI Backupper. My system reserved is on disc 0. My OS is on disc 3. I'd like to move it from disc 0 to disc 3, but your software method is just cloning the OS to an external HDD. This wouldn't move system reserved partition from disc 0 to disc 3, it would simply make a new one on the external HHD. Correct? Am I missing something?
Hidden; go to the options in the folder, there is a parameter to check. However, method 1 didn't work for me; windows was corrupted after adjusting my BIOS to my SSD. Fortunatly, I didn't remove the original "System reserved", so I could bring Windows 10 back. One must be very careful when following this kind of instructions on the system files on the Internet...
i have one question, can i do that in flash usb, i punt creat a system reserved on USB drive boot in first on that USB and start windos from my internal hard drive ? i mean if somone want boot my computer he can not do that because not flash drive for booting it !!!
Hello! It seems that somhow after I installed a new 2TB M.2 Card then installed a New Win 10 Pro a System Reserved Drive (K) & (L) have appeared on one of three of my SSD Storage Drives (M)! My PC used to boot & shut down fast but now am experiencing all kinds of Start Up issues! Do you think If I attempt to migrate the two Reserved Drives (K) & (L) to my new M.2 2TB (C) Drive my PC will once again will Start Up & Shut Down fast with no issues again?
nice video dude. I have question. if basically I have 2 partitions, first for system and second for data. At first I didn't know that the second one also included system (System and Reserved) -- which was the technician who installed the one I bought. So I have a plan to add partition C which is system. and make the second D into 2 parts. and I moved some data to the new partition. what a surprise to find that the partition was empty but used. but by the way, can you find a solution to move System and Reserved to a new and empty partition but not disrupt the continuity of the system?
I am running into an Issue, after following the steps, I cannot set the new partition as "Active". I followed the video perfectly and for some reason it is not working. Now I'm terrified to restart my computer even though the System Reserved partition did not contain anything within the drive. What is the issue?
Hi Joseph, don't panic first. For your situation, you can refer to this article to check if your steps are right www.ubackup.com/clone/move-system-reserved-partition-to-another-drive.html because it's almost hard to help you figure this out in the comment area without knowing the exact status of your disk. Besides, you may also try your best to google it to see if you can find a solution, at last, you can also contact our support team via email to get further help or remote assistance. Hope you can find a way out soon.
Hi, just a little question. On internet, there are lots of articles that say "you need to plug an USB Win10 recovory media and type bootrec/mbrfix, bootrec/bootfix and bootrec/rebuild commands after cloning the system reserved partition. You did not show this process in your vid, so I wondered if it's really OK skipping these steps....?
It's totally fine to skip the steps you mentioned because these commands are used to repair the disk. If there are no bad sectors, you don't have to run these commands.
Was trying to setup everything for Win 11 , changed my C drive to GPT, than i saw i have on D drive boot and on C is system, so i cannot use UEFI secure boot in bios, it almost broke my BIOS, would not load to windows at all, instead was going to BIOS in endless loop, barely able to fix later. What can i do?
My system is dual booted with windows 7 and 10 except that the system reserved partition was placed on a second identical and blank disk apart from either boot drive. If I shrink my Windows 10 boot drive by 500Gb to make room for the system reserved portion can I use method two?

You have a Master boot record partition instead of a GUI partition. This means you are in legacy boot instead of UEFI. Not a problem, same thing is on my computer

Don't bother, you need to pay to use the software in any capacity. Is freemium bait
The Aomei software is well worth the money. Of course, you can always attempt to write your own code and try that. LOL Good luck.

Yes, it is not equal to "move" but it's still a way of moving.

Yes, you can choose to clone the partition.

Do you mean you have the system installed on both C and D drives?
I can't view my System Reserved partition in the file explorer, anyone know how?
Nope I've also tried
Try getting rid of the drive letter
Thanks for the replies, I was finally able to get it by assigning the system reserved partition to a drive letter I'm pretty sure.

Hi there you are suggested to clone the system to SSD it is more convenient and less error-prone.
all the files are note transferin because other files are hiding and you need show them by option on the explorator !!!!
I don't know about the clone step of method 2, you says need a eternal hard disk for the clone...
Because this video is about how to move to another drive dear, it could be external or internal.
@@AOMEITech yes i mean for internal drive just create 500mb for system reserved and clone. That's all?
I think you need to create another partition for clone but in the video you are not mention

Following Method 1, I had to physically disconnect the old disk before the new partition would be recognised as a System Partition

Because of it i lost important files
You cannot lose files if you use AOMEI Backupper, so you must have used disk management.
