    A partition is simply another way of organizing data. You can manage it yourself!

    Hi Leo, thanks for the video. At 6:09 , I suppose there is an alternative to deleting the partition(for creating another partition). Shrink the volume of E: partition to say half of it. Then you can use the newly un-allocated space for additional partition. This way, you may also preserve the data in the original partition.

    Thank you Leo for simply explaining and demonstrating. Now if you could do the same for Linux would be great ;)

    So a partition is dividing a drive into part. So different containers inside a disk. And u can add letters to each container👍

    Sir, thank you. Now, is there a reason why others would not use the cursor trail like you did? That also helped following your instructions.

    Can I run 2 different operating systems on the same computer??

    • @askleonotenboom
      @askleonotenboom  11 месяцев назад

      You can set up dual boot to boot into one or the other, OR you can set up a virtual machine to run a second OS within the primary.

    If your system only has one internal drive (C: drive - HDD or SSD), I'm assuming you would not want to format or delete the disk volume. Is this correct?

    In your video you
    interchangeably use
    volume and disc.
    And in Microsoft Windows 10 disk part tool there is are commands concerning
    Disks
    Volumes
    Partitions
    And they are distinct objects One from another.
    So even if I understand the basic division of the Volume into drives,
    I cannot understand these 3
    For example you tell we are creating a volume and assigning a drive letter to it. So it is a volume or a drive?

    In my case I have two recovery partitions and cannot enable reagentc, it says cannot update boot config. Also I cannot boot into safe mode. Could you point me in the right direction to fix it by chance?

    Hi Leo, EasyTechGeek has a video showing how to create a partition using Windows10 without destroying the existing data. What do you think?

    • @askleonotenboom
      @askleonotenboom  Год назад

      I haven't looked at their video, but there are situations where it can be done. Just not every situation (and perhaps not even most).

    Does many partitions, 4 partitions in Windows 10 effect the speed of Computer performance?

    • @askleonotenboom
      @askleonotenboom  Год назад +1

      Not strictly, but it REALLY depends on exactly how you're using your computer and what files live where.
