@@wolfjones2438 yep, and there's a very good reason they use a Petty Officer 1st class for something like this opposed to a Chief, in my opinion. That reason is Chiefs wear a dress uniform that is much more similar to an Officer's opposed to the classic black wool with the Dixie Cup that E-6 and below wear.
Negative, all black sunglasses with modest design and a modest decal that is also black are in regulation. I think metal or silver frames are also allowed, but I wouldn't state that as confidently as I would that black sunglasses are allowed.
Great stuff. I always wanted to be BMOW on a carrier. Pope calls. Annoy people. Call reveille and wake up thousands of people, most of whom outrank me and a significant number of officers.

BM1 Fries, thanks for your service and demonstration here. And thanks to WAVY TV 10 for putting this fine tradition on display for us all.
Fine job Shipmate, I really miss getting underway. Joined in 79, retired in 99.
Lived near there. My dad was stationed at Langley AFB. NAS Norfolk and Langley AFB pilots flew maneuvers with each other all the time.

Love them both.

How come you didn’t get to do more than watch?

I remember going through knee-knocker’s the first time I heard that call when I was on Tiger cruise on DDG-69
OUTSTANDING. Have a Fine NAVY!!! Love it....
People who knew Abraham Lincoln said his voice was like a boatswain's whistle. Such a high falsetto it was unpleasant and shrill.

The attention call’s usually heard for general quarters, so you definitely wouldn’t be the only one

The BM1 is missing a lanyard for his bosun pipe.
The last one are really badass tho! 😎🙌
Please show how they make those great looking lanyards for the pipe. I've seen some real nice ones during my Navy career. ( MMC )
Use to wake me up out of the most peaceful sleep to some bad news
