Quill, because you don't often hear from our side of the "debate": Please keep yield icons on at all times. You always explain why you do the things you do, therefore your series are suitable for beginners. For those people, we really appreciate when the icons are ON. Cheers and thank you.
But the Settlers that Quill steals have all been going around the south. If Gandhi wanted to put a city north of Delhi where Quill isn't guarding, he could easily do so.
It is so funny when you keep stealing Settlers from India. I liked the mechanic of it better in civ5, where they would get converted to builders, which gives you less of an advantage and actually makes sense (because you're actually *enslaving* them, not having a group of people with different culture and langauage build a city for you). I find civ6 much more confusing than civ5, but I like it that they got rid of the global happiness mechanic and you can actually spam cities effectively. Especially with this much land.
8:50 "We do lose that gold per turn." I'm pretty sure that the trade deals remain in effect, even through war. You're toolbar suggests that's the case.
Hey quill18 at the end you deleted your warrior(around 30:10,) I just want you to know that warriors have no maintenance so you can keep them around as long as you'd like.
@quill18 the pin glitch has been bugging me since day 1 with this game. Why have they not fixed it yet! Aaarrrrgggghhhh! I wish they'd roll out smaller patches quicker, rather than larger patches less often, but that's my preference, it's probably a more lengthy process with QA or something who knows. If #Firaxis ever reads this, please release bug fixes more often rather than bunching them with DLC!
the ai is seems to be incredibly bad at escorting settlers long distances this is partically noticeable when its escorting unit gets killed and the ai will let the settler continue on its queued movement
Quill18 when you put the theater square down to eventually boast the industrail zone why didn't you just put in an industrial zone (especially since the industrial zone would help you build a theater square later (with the production it provides)? Also should have switched off military tactics so you could get the boast to it, since you had spear men and were at war with India.
Not sure what he is doing this game. He is totally off the pace in this series and this is not even a live stream. Not having the mod popups is really hurting his inspirations and I don't know what Quill has against having a Granary in his capital?
Really? I mean, yeah, it would be nice to plop down an industrial zone whenever. But he doesn't even have Apprenticeship, so yeah, he can't build them yet.
Could you explain how switching techs halfway through researching them helps? From my civ 5 knowledge, that just means that tech never gets researched.
In Civ 6 the eureka's will research half of the tech. E.g. Archery gets eureka'd for killing a barbarian with a slinger. So if you know you are going to hit the eureka terms them half researching and switching to something else is fantastic minimaxing.
Also they did not fix the pin bug. When you pinned for an Aqueduct you replaced the pin for your Holy Site in El-Kurru. Pretty stupid that such a small thing hasn't been fixed yet. edit: I just needed to watch further as you commented on that no more than two minutes later.
how is this deity? 2 unprotected settlers? also, you got half the map to yourself, standard map size should be for 8 players? this feels like prince at best. that said, unsure how you plan to win other civs are making triple your culture and science.
holy sites generate faith which late game if your not running a relegious game allows you anouther option to purchase types of buildings or short cut great people
James nettla the merchant he used only increases gold gain for international trade routes sent from other civs to that city. Doesn't do anything for domestic trade routes.
Oh-em-to-the-motherf*cking-gee. With that being said, let's explain. You don't get to found a religion, because the AI will beat you to that. Except you play as Saladin. Faith is still good, though. You can buy Great Persons, you can buy any military unit (as long as you choose theocracy) and so on. It's basically another version of gold. Why not the industrial zones. Hm. Let's think about it. As long as you don't have the ability to build additional buildings WITHIN that zone, it's almost just worth it's adjacency bonus. It is somewhat good, but not that good. Since you don't have several districts around there, the adjacency bonus will be rather poor. Okay, he could mine up a few things, but that would cost him builder uses needed for other things. That whole industrial zone thing will become strong at the point you can build factories. So there is no rush to get it. It's not like it would be weak or something. But the one thing you REALLY need the highest possible production for is constructing wonders. Given the difficulty, that's off the table. Things he will build soon are more holy sites, more campusses and more commercial districts / harbors (giving him more trade routes, which are quite strong) One more thing he doesn't really need are the Great Engineers. They are good, but most of them refer to a certain building or help you build wonders faster. Again, not his top priority. That should explain it enough, I guess.
He went "pacifist " in his last stream on Twitch with France. By pacifist I mean he declared only 1 or 2 wars... and took only 7 or 8 cities. That's an achievement coming from him.
Complete pacifism is damn near impossible at Deity level. Taking enemy cities is the most reliable way of catching up the the AI with their start bonuses.
Actually Firaxis only wants money, not interest to fix bugs; because people buy this not finished game even the price is high. If people not buy the game with this price Firaxis will fix the bugs. It's very frustating when you see some bugs fixed from civfanatics users in one week or less. I don't pay 60€ with many bugs not fixed. It is ridiculous Vikings denounces to you because you don't have an army but you are playing in a Pangea map. And there are a lot of such things in the game. Marbozir doesn't play Civ 6, he says he feels unconfy with the game, but i suspect he thinks civ 6 is a big shit, and he plays civ 5. The new target from Firaxis is launch a new civi every 3 or 4 months but you must pay it, like EU4.
why are you editing so much it doesnt show when youre posting all your cities? nobody wants to see a bunch of heavily edited garbage with someone elses sticky fingers in the middle of it, he can make his own channel ffs.
Quill, will this become one of the famous/notorious youtube series were you rush because you think you don't have enough time to record the game because of other arrangements? I was afraid that would happen after the video you posted about your schedule for July/August. If so I will just stop watching and hope everyone else does. Maybe that will finally teach you not to go for quantity and accept that if you don't have time you don't have time. Make quality rich videos and stop producing rubbish content.
That Varu was 1 tile away from your Settler around 19:00 and you didn't notice, fortunately neither did Gandhi. Another win for Civ AI...
yep ive had that happen before even with barbarians i think the AI has a movement script queued up and wont deviate from it
If Gandhi cared about having Settlers, he wouldn't be gifting so many of them to Quill in the first place!
Quill, because you don't often hear from our side of the "debate": Please keep yield icons on at all times. You always explain why you do the things you do, therefore your series are suitable for beginners. For those people, we really appreciate when the icons are ON. Cheers and thank you.
Quill's abusing India so much this vid should be tagged NSFW.
29:08 - The term 'pre-plop' is so good.
Does that do anything? Or is it just to remind him?
everyone bashing on quill for his gameplay and i'm here thinking he's a beast. shows how bad i am at civ.
Thanks for using the word spiffy. It's a fun little word that almost no one uses so thanks!
I love this series quill
I love when Quill bashes Firaxis :D
"I don't know why India isn't settling there" - maybe because someone keeps stealing their settlers... ;)
But the Settlers that Quill steals have all been going around the south. If Gandhi wanted to put a city north of Delhi where Quill isn't guarding, he could easily do so.
He stole one up north to found that city on the water.
You're going to lose a settler... you're going to lose a settler... wow you're lucky that enemy didn't take your settler that you sent straight at it
the coastal wonder that you can build beside an industrial district is the venetian arsenal
Varu in your backyard...no walls or units...
7:00 I can hear the cogs and wheels turning...
Potatoe palace lol?

Just noticed the pin rename bug you mentioned last episode. Holy became aqua and aqua is now blank. Weird. “Legacy code”
Really enjoying this so far.
God that Varu eating pillaging the trade routes...
8:50 "We do lose that gold per turn." I'm pretty sure that the trade deals remain in effect, even through war. You're toolbar suggests that's the case.
trade deals once made don't not cancel during war between participants.
Your*

6:56 LOL For the 3rd time are you kiddin
"Thats gunna be fine." -Quill18
With the map pins, the Civ devs are obviously aware that arrays start at 1.
27:26 Well Gandhi talked about nuclear bomb already back in 1800 bc.
what are the Varu´s doing up there?
Looking for a good spot to DIE.....
India scouts with them
Avoiding quill's settlers, even when he sends them straight to their doom.
LOL look at how far apart your cities are. Lovely!
oops... that aqua is not on the right pin. is it bug?
It's a shame Quill never go to use any of Nubias specific ancient era stuff, but bad terrain roll is bad
This is one of my favorite civs and ive already won 3 victory types with it
Daaaam you got no life...
iiJameul - Well clearly his life is playing games, amongst other things I'm sure.
On Deity? :d
Frederik Stordal nah its was immortal i cant really handle deity yet

I love the smell of new videos... Yumi!!!
A THIRD UNESCORTED SETTLER?! why does this never happen to me?
the ai is seems to be incredibly bad at escorting settlers long distances this is partically noticeable when its escorting unit gets killed and the ai will let the settler continue on its queued movement
All these months later and theyve released more over-priced DLC but the pin naming bug is still in the base game
Wait, what? Great people can teleport? I've been playing this game so much and have never noticed this.
Quill may have accidentally disabled city states, or maybe its just a bug. It's interesting not having them, all the space for expansion is nice.

India is just a settler factory for you this game. I have never see the AI at this tier so careless with settlers.
Could you explain how switching techs halfway through researching them helps? From my civ 5 knowledge, that just means that tech never gets researched.

how did ghandi have niter already?

Uhhh.. in Civ 6 building improvements with Builders only ever takes 1 turn.. so of course feudalism doesnt speed it up :P
great tactic
REPORT GANDHI FOR FEED xD
how is this deity? 2 unprotected settlers? also, you got half the map to yourself, standard map size should be for 8 players? this feels like prince at best. that said, unsure how you plan to win other civs are making triple your culture and science.
damn you do not rush industrial zones to increase production to cities , and what is your love for holy sites if you do not have a religon ?
P.S. you should send all trade routes to el kuru as you got the bonus gold for your merchant you spent
holy sites generate faith which late game if your not running a relegious game allows you anouther option to purchase types of buildings or short cut great people

My advice with nubia: restart the game until you have floodplains in your capital
Because not being able to deal with what the game aleas give you is GREAT
50th
Also has anyone noticed that Heh has been growing super slow?
Quill, Can you make this a pacifist gameplay, where you try to go get the pacifist victory.
He went "pacifist " in his last stream on Twitch with France. By pacifist I mean he declared only 1 or 2 wars... and took only 7 or 8 cities. That's an achievement coming from him.

Joke.
What are you talking about? This is obviously a pacifist run!
iiJameul - he was done pacifist games, you can find some on RUclips
Luckily its "Nubia" and not "Noob-ia"
You know, for some reason at one point I must've accidentally unsubscribed from you! I can't believe I've been missing your videos for so long...
sounds like a blessing to me. i would love to have a handful of unwatched quill videos!
So many bugs
Why no pyramids?
Most of his cities lack access to desert/floodplains.
Pixel Gemini oh its because quill doesn't want to build the petra so hes staying away from the desert
Civ is such a hilariously shitty piece of software. I am left baffled each time I hear or see some errors it has.
Nah B
