    I was born and raised in a city that's close to the beach. So I have always gone as long as I can remember. I can't imagine how anyone could live in the middle of the country and never experience the ocean. The ocean is such a calming force of nature. I love to sit and listen to the waves and smell the saltiness of the air. Ahhhhh.

    first time on the beach? hmmm....I was very small and I think it was Tampa. I remember my older brothers and sisters desperate to watch the cars racing on the sand. We also went to Pompino Beach....don't remember much about either trips as I said I was too young to remember much. I did swim in the ocean at Cavendish Beach several times growing up and loved it...but, brrrrrr....it was cold. (hardy cannucks). When I first landed in Miami for a cruise I could feel it in my bones...I had to get to the beach and I wasn't disappointed....the sand, the sun, the breeze.....ahhhhhhh. I was born for this! :)

    If wanting to tour the whole island, including a stop at the beach, I recommend Thenford Grey tours. Older gentleman that know everything about his home and it's history. We have been on island tours on a lot of Caribbean islands and his tour was far an away the best we have been on.

    Now I wish we were going to St Kitts on our cruise, because I would LOVE to spend the morning on a relatively quiet beach. Looks like a great place.

    I grew up by the ocean in Florida so I don't remember the first time I saw the ocean. But i vividly remember seeing snow for the first time. I couldn't get outside fast enough! It felt like something magical. I still get that feeling when I see snow falling.

    No secret word today. Oh, well. Like you, I was raised on lakes, but in Ontario. I was literally born on the shore of Lake Erie which is where the hospital is located in my hometown. Then we moved to Toronto and we had Lake Ontario. I waterskied in it once and never got in it again...it's a very cold lake. (Lake Erie can get pretty warm so we did swim there.) Then there were various lakes in cottage country in Ontario. My first 'view' of the ocean was when I visited with my grandmother who was living in Nova Scotia at the time, when I was about 11. Didn't swim there, it's MUCH colder than Lake Ontario in the North Atlantic. My first ocean swim was on my first cruise to the Caribbean in 1995 on the Carnival Holiday! It was beautiful. I even swam with the stingrays on that cruise. OK. That's the answer to the question. Pick your own magic/secret word from the comment. LOL

    I’ve been enjoying a lot of your older videos to get my cruise fix while no one is able to cruise. You asked in this one when we first saw the ocean.... not until collage! We only lived 2 hrs from the ocean so there was really no excuse! Now I’m obsessed and want to escape to the ocean every chance I can. Both of my kids have been to the beach as babies.

    You already know we like Carambola Beach Resort. Too bad you didn't try the sushi. My first time at the ocean was in Prince Edward Island and it was our families first trip outside of Ontario. The water in the Atlantic was very cold. I remember the tide was very interesting to me. It went out and we looked for clams. I was 8, or so.

    That looks like my kind of beach. Nice and quiet and relaxed. I like what you said about cruising, that you have a different view each day. I live near the Pacific Ocean near Vancouver, BC so I saw the ocean a lot when I was a kid. But it is not as nice as St. Kitts, it is salty and full of seaweed.

    My first memory of the ocean was when I was about 6 or 7 years old. We lived in Homestead Florida and our parents took us to the Keys. Our hotel room had a balcony where you could fish in the ocean. I was so amazed by that! Then I went with my brother exploring near where the water met the sand and saw my very first starfish and crab. I would love to go back to the Keys again.

    It was probably in lanzerotte when I was very little I loved it running into the water and jumping over the waves getting my bucket and trying to bring water back to my sun lounger but every time I tried to do this I'd spill all the water on the way so my bucket would be practically empty by the time we got back but I'd keep doing it and try and fill the little hole I'd made in the sand 😅

    This past January, we took the $20USD tour in St. Kitts and it was fabulous! The spot at 1:41 is has the Atlantic Ocean on one side and the Caribbean Sea on the other (that is what the tour guide said!). There was a beach stop. We didn't bring stuff, so we went back to the boat. However, I liked St. Kitts! I thought it was a nice island :D

    I was smiling through the entire video. You really make my day! That beach looks beautiful. Something to consider on my cruise this December on Anthem! I remember back in the day my first visit to the beach was in Atlantic City. I thought that beach was beautiful. Little did I know back then! We went to the boardwalk as well and they had horse shows at the Steel Pier. The horses would jump off into a barrel. I thought that was the coolest thing along with the salt water taffy. Anyway, looking forward to your upcoming videos of the ship tour! Btw, I noticed you didn't have your beach shoes on! Haven't you learned a lesson? If you were wearing them you wouldn't have felt that fish biting your toes. I know I sound like your mom and I'm certainly old enough!

    My wife and I were just at the Carambola Beach Club a couple of weeks ago. We took Greg's Safari tour that we booked on Adventure of the Seas and this was our last stop. We ended up spending most of our time sitting at the bar or in that round seating area under the fans because the beach was sooo hot. At least we got to take advantage of the free wifi there. There was a guy with a monkey there taking $5 pictures but it was worth it. Our guide there warned us not to get a massage because they go person to person without washing their hands!

      yes. St Maarten is in bad shape. But RCL is sending their ships with humanitarian aide and supplies and helping residents. It is so nice to hear. Makes me feel less guilty for enjoying my trip when I know I'll be helping St Kitts with tourist dollars and RCL is helping St Maarten.

    You got a fish pedicure (gratis)!! Well, at least the people at Orient Beach didn't want to braid your hair!! Never been to St. Kitt's - very nice! Did you eat any carambola fruit? We grow "star" fruit in FL.
    Growing up in Brooklyn - my family went to Far Rockaway Beach every summer when I was a tot!! I remember hiding under the boardwalk when it got too hot on the sand, and the Good Humor man walking on the beach selling ice-cream!! And I think my dad taught me how to swim in the chilly Atlantic Ocean (amazing that up in NY the ocean water is very dark, but down in FL it is beautiful, aquamarine - and much warmer)!! Thanks for sharing Morgan! Always enjoy your videos!

    This place looks amazing. Did you book this location before you arrived in St. Kitts or did you tell the cab driver where you wanted to go? Also, what were the prices for the amenities and for the facility? Was it a hassle to get back to your cruise ship? Missing a ship is the most expensive mistake a person can make while sailing.

    • @VeryunOfficialTravelGuides
      @VeryunOfficialTravelGuides  7 лет назад +1
