Sounds like the lids need to be tighter to make the seal. They drip for a few seconds once inverted but should barely drip after that due to the vacuum.
Yeah, here in N. Idaho, yesterday, two inches of snow which is gone today. Today, mid to upper 40's and saw the first pussy willow blooming. This weekend, temps up to lower to mid 60's. Next weekend...possible snow again....arrrggghhh!!!!
David I have two hedge rows of Cynthia would you consider them like dandelion probably over 150 feet long the length of my property would you take your the feeder off
Excellent video, David. I've been asking myself this very question this week myself. I've just mixed 5 gallons ready to go on, but don't want to start too early
Great timing as trying to decide what to feed this time of year is always tough. I am not a fan of pollen patties as for me they do a much better job of raising SHBs than bees.
Hi David, Why do you put the screen below the bottle feeders? I use Mason jar feeders set into a plywood stand on top of the inner cover. The inverted jar sets into the hole in the plywood and is held nicely around the bigger body of the jar. It doesn't seem that the screen below it is needed. The idea of putting the jar hole in the inner cover so it's directly accessible to the cluster, not above the inner cover, is a great improvement though.
I've used both the supplied lids rhat came with and ones I made from a canning lid. Used a push pin to poke holes in canning lid, both lids function the same

Hi David I purchased your feeding system and it drips. Is it supposed to ? Silly question I know.

How can I order your feeder.
Thanks for your interest. Here's the link: www.honeybeesonline.com/feeders/

Hey David. Off topic question.
Do queens that are caged and shipped, often take a few days after release to start laying? Grateful.

I don’t it is the cold that causes dripping, it is the temperature change. Hot to cold and back to hot. Changes the vacuum inside the jar.

Crazy my bees are on maple pollen already and that’s crazy for north east South Dakota
Your 8 frame feeding system says no longer in stock 😢
When jar heats up from cold fluid is forced out do to expansion

My guess would be so that the changing of the jars can be done without any fly outs?
Yay! Today is the day I pick up my package here on Cape Cod. I bought your feeding system and am ready to go! Happy Spring
Yay! I'm excited with you!!
First! Love your videos and knowledge
The book is a great read.
When will your additives be back in stock?
Soon we hope.
What kind of pollen is best for the bees? Or is it all pretty much the same?
Pretty much same, but I like Ultra Bee
Does your Burn's Feeder need a special lid on jar. The 2 piece lids that comes on canning jars looks to have a deep recess. Are those lids usable
I've used both the supplied lids rhat came with and ones I made from a canning lid. Used a push pin to poke holes in canning lid, both lids function the same
Nope, canning jar lids are fine but have to be small mouth.
Where can those jar be purchased?
Regular canning jars, with small mouth.
Thank you@@beek
Can I add all of the additives to a feeder that is in with the frames?? Not sure what they are called..... Frame feeder??
Yes indeed.
Great timing David. See ya tonight at livestream 😊
It's called planting flowers and trees and don't spray weeds.
