I like Andy and he did a lot of work for Mike no hard feelings.He is his own person and how he runs his business is his choice. I will always watch Andy’s Channel as well as any channel that Mike takes his cars to.It all is interesting and entertaining everyone loves cars and would love to see them get to 100 thousand quickly.

That guy at RPM just did in less than a day ...what would take Andy months..... All these people saying Andy is great should take their cars to him....Andy is a pig mechanic ....opening brand new engines in a shop that looks like that ....smh ...not saying he's a bad person ....but he's a shit mechanic.

If there was ever a legit reason to discontinue work on Mikes car the fact that he hasn’t seen Dumb and Dumber is the MOST legit reason.

I like that you guys didn't rag on Andy about Mike's car. That to me is a classy move and it shows how professional your shop is. I think Andy was rushed to finish Mikes car and you can see the results in the finished product that was presented to Mike. you guys are different and it shows in your finished product. (SUB EARNED!)
theo baker but they did last video, they talked about how much of a mess everything was and how simple things were installed wrong and how they wish they could just start with a factory corvette because Andy’s work was so bad to the point they had to re fix everything
Yea i just saw the first vid and it was kinda of a backhand jab but, one thing you have to admit. they got the trans out, dropped the driver side fuel tank, fixed the fuel level sending unit and reinstalled everything in one 8 hour day. Yeah, im impressed. as for the backhand jab to DFR, im sure the boss pulled them aside and put the kabosh on the commenting, at least on camera.
theo baker yeah they did a great job, wish they wouldn’t have talked shit about Andy in the first video though because it seems like everyone is turning on the poor guy and those comments they made didn’t help but regardless I subbed to this channel because they are really good
I agree, now that I've seen the first video it's easy to see your point and yes the shit talk should've not happened. I still like Andy and will continue to support his channel but i think Mike put to much on him with too little time to finish the build. it didn't help that Max quit just around that time either.
Dave Jackson I watched the video of Andy installing the jets with nick watching him nobody is to blame other than the guy that blew it up on the dyno that’s old school tuning check the jets. They blew that motor up for click bait knowing it wouldn’t support 1000hp. I keep up with what I do to my car it’s not Andy’s fault somebody messed with a safe tune that made multiple passes with a unqualified driver before some tuner blew it up on the dyno. I bet Fran trusts Jeremy’s tuning let’s see what happens when Nick blows up that ZL1 in the first season.
Lol...and Mike was told that was just the way the fuel system was. As if a normal consequence of an aftermarket fuel system is that your gauge no longer works.

My 2007 z06 Bette is still a shell all I can do now is work on my 60 year old uncles 1le Camaro track car and (slowly) collect parts to complete my rebuild. I’m 34 now but I’m hoping by the time I reach the corvette target market of 65 my car will be done. Thanks to you guys and DFR for teaching the teenagers on Mikes channel that the General leads the pack. All these kids are putting Corvette hearts in their build because of “People like you”!!!!!!!!!

I’ve watched more work done on Mikes Z06 in this video than I ever did in any of the previous videos by other shops.. Keep up the good work! I enjoy seeing the work that’s getting put into the car. I hate previously when the car just being gone for 1 or more months and then getting it back to just have some issues. Love the direction everything is headed. Will be watching!

I didn't feel like you guys were bashing DFR at all, however, between you guys and Katech's video's and watching the problems that Mike has been having literally everytime DFR works on his cars, it seems pretty obvious to the average viewer that the common denominator in all these problems is DFR.

Mike has led me to some great channels! I’d really like to see the pro charger, but even if it doesn’t happen, this channel is excellent! Food for thought: most like to blame Andy fro all what's wrong with the car, but Max is the one who did most of the work. I am wondering if Max just didn't give a shit anymore & and did shit half-assed, thus leaving Andy in a predicament (fire him/ make him quit) ??? Thoughts...
STARSHIPTROOP nah, Max has a channel and he explained that he quit the shop and why. Andy did the tune which was the main issue it sounds like, but he seemed just as bummed as Mike that he couldn't figure the problem out. RPM is just more of a professional shop with a LOT more experience with building and tuning these high horsepower vehicles
It wouldn't surprise me. I lost all respect for Max as a mechanic when I saw him hack a hole in the back of Nick's ZL1 to put in the fuel system rather than dropping the tank. The "trap door mod" as he called it is what shade tree mechanics do because they don't have the equipment or ability to do the job right. A guy doing that to his own car in his driveway is one thing. For a shop it's inexcusably lazy.
As a mechanic, Max's reputation is determined by the quality of the work he puts out.
As owner of the shop, Andy is fully responsible for any work his employees do. Period. That clear enough?

There really isn't any reason to bash dfr. The problem there seems to have solved itself. Lesson learned.... you don't turn a 19 year old loose on a $90000 car.
Dave Jackson youre correct, that 19 year old did pretty well... for a 19 year old, we were all 19 once. This is the difference in amateurs and professionals.
Once again RPM does great work with paying close attention to find detail. Can't wait to see the dyno numbers on the V3!!!

Glad Mike gave a shoutout to your channel. Would love to see more 'tech tips' or quick explanations of what youre doing and why (e.g. why soak the lifters vs apply a little oil to the outside)
Soaking them gets all the air out that’s stuck in them. That way they are filled with oil when the engine starts instead of being dry

People are carrying over the drama from the other car blowing up due to improper nitrous jets. People just dont realise 1 man cant do everything from ordering to moving cars on and off a lift. Doesnt help having one lift or not having all the tools., Least he has done majority correct. A few things rushed and mistakes happen.

He’s not paid to get the majority correct. If you can’t do the job because of time or you don’t have the room or right equipment don’t take on the work. It’s just bad business.
Wtf! Had to remove gearbox and rear subframe assembly, to get the fuel tank out, just to pull a fuel pump? Thats crazy! First time watching the channel and will continue to now. Keep it up!

It's a good thing Andy couldn't handle anymore Mike's car built ! The car is in good hands now.
The shop reflects who you are, Andy is a messy unorganized guy, skilled, but messy.
Lack of organization = mistakes.
Colin Jolivet andy does good work and knows a bit about what hes doing alot of the reason mike changed shops is take the business side of it it took him 2 weeks for 1 customers car thats not making him a whole lot of money and think if it helps put more money in andys pockets and helps mike get his car back faster both sides win

Very respectable the way you all handled yourselves considering how public this situation is. I've been a tech at a Honda dealership for 16 years an this is professional courtesy. Armen Drives I wasn't going to sub, because I don't give a dick if Mike puts a pro-charger on this thing. But I ended up subbing when they addressed this issue, specifically because of there stance on not dropping names.
This was the elephant in the room. When something fucked up makes it to your shop, you're going to have something to say about it. But that doesn't mean you have to drag soneone else's name through the mud. Good on ya, RPM.
