I remember being there for this, it was a great day. I ended up meeting one of the jumpers, he was a pretty decent guy. Even let me take a picture with his pack on.
The SkyHawks are a class act. Think about it they are taken from the army, navy and airforce and represent every province in the country. Each year new members join members from the year before to pass on experience and the professionalism the Canadian military is known worldwide for. This year at the Greenwood hosted Airshow Atlantic was the first time they performed an all woman three stack jump, the first anywhere in the world. After the show Skyhawks make himself available to the crowds talking to kids and adults alike, one of the best recruitment tool the military has in my opinion.
@s043487263 For the first time....you are usually scared, but the adrenaline overrides the fear and it's just a feeling of euphoria. Best I can say: go to ANY dropzone and hang out, ask questions, watch people land and take note of how happy everyone is. Then, go do a jump! I don't know of any dropzones that don't encourage spectators. I've got just shy of 500 jumps and hope to never stop...
My 80 year old father came to watch me jump. When asked if he was worried about me jumping from a plane, he replied "she's much safer than I was when I went to war at the same age".
I don't know if anyone's mentioned this before but I think Rick's dedication to the "Handshake before speaking to them" practice is excellent.

"your going to be tied to me, correct?"
"your going to be...attached to me"
Gotta love that military humour, it never leaves you.
I know this is wrong, but seeing Rick freaking out gives me much joy ;)
I just said that on another video of his LOL. When he freaks out he has that nervous laugh. I love it. Brings me joy.
Jann Arden would agree with you
Gotta love this guy, LOL...so brave, so Canadian, enjoy.
Awesome job Rick! I jumped a bunch of times from that same plane last year!
I bet Jan Arden watched this with a big smile on her face.
Probably because he didn't get her into it lol
I think I haven't smiled so hard in ages. Rick ... amazing as usual. :-)
Miss you sir
I'm so happy your Canadian, makes me feel more connected. :)
Wow... it was exhilarating enough just watching him jump! I wonder what it's like to really do it! :D
"We want you to have a really full experience!"It's my pants would be having the full experience!

3:38... Rick's just like 'wtf am I doing with my life??'
Was there a camera guy who had to jump too?
MsPirags One of the Skyhawks films the jumps.
MsPirags The other guy who jumped with them has a camera attached to his helmet
Ricky nailed that exit!

Rick is amazing!!!
I totally hate roller coaster with a drop, but in the future I want to skydive
"I feel like a big baby in a jolly jumper" lolololol
So much fun and I never had a feeling of being there
Because it would be a plane that flies in the US, too, so it would need the necessary permissions and markings.
OMG I LIVE I. WINDSOR!!!
When in our Military Service and you're holding a lethal weapon, what matters most, opinion, or, training?
what is the song, when they are in the air
@theservman They lease it from a US charter company. I don't think the RCAF has anything that would work without being overkill.
Haha! All that resistance and he still manages to clap!
