In the closed loop speed control of a drive, the output variable is speed and the inputs are voltage and current. Speed is described by several fuzzy sets and two adjacent fuzzy sets for the speed are MED and HIGH: these sets are symmetric and have the domains (1000-1200 rpm) and (1100-1300 rpm), respectively. Compute the speed of a motor if the following fuzzy rules are activated: If voltage is LOW (0.72) AND current is VERY SMALL (0.26), then speed is MED. If voltage is AVG (0.34) AND current is SMALL (0.66), then speed is HIGH. Employ a correlation product for implication and the height method for defuzzification.
