The truth of the matter is tha my standing fan is too fast and too noisy while I'm trying to watch TV in the same room. I think this is idaal. Thank you.
Will it cause any damages to the wall fan if we run in low speed in dimmer, coz wall fan is having only 3 speed levels , bt in dimmer its 5 level I think....so is it safe for all??
I cant see that it would be dangerous as it restricts power to the whole motor. The motor size is small. check the rating anyway and then check the rating of the dimmer before you fit. The current control of a dimmer operates on the same principle as a variable speed electric motor controller.
Sabi ni chatGPT: It is not recommended to use a dimmer switch with an electric fan, as it can damage the motor and potentially cause a fire hazard. Electric fans are designed to operate at a specific voltage and frequency, and using a dimmer switch can disrupt this and cause the motor to overheat or malfunction. It is best to use the speed controls that come with the fan, or to purchase a separate fan speed controller.
This is stupid and dangerous. Your fan will overheat and may cause a fire. There are fan control switches available that look like light dimmer switches. I would recommend using a fan control switch instead of a dimmer switch, but if you think you learned something from this video, I recommend you stay away from tampering with any high voltage circuit.
honest question. How can it be overheat if the maximum power it receives does not change? it's not like a dimmer will deliver a higher amount of electricity that is received directly from the input.
@@joe78man the low speeds are dangerous. A dimmer switch turns the light source on and off very fast (your eyes can’t see that) so the light source appears “darker”. This doesn’t really work out for motors. Eventually on low speed the motor wil hum very annoyingly. Both the switch and motor will get very hot and might overheat.
It is a fan control switch when used to control a fan. Edit: I was an electrical engineer in my first profession many years ago. I have a standing fan which is too powerful and noisy in the house and I fitted a light dimmer. It now works at a variable slower speed and it's perfect for domestic use. It doesn't get hot.... But I already knew that.😊

I love these Musical Tutorials. They make it So Much easier to understand.....
Wowww so amazing i thought dimmer is only use for pin lights and incandescent lamps... Greatttttttttttt
Me too thanks this new gold CAPLOCK MEDIA
It doesnt actually work. It basically becomes a weird on off switch. Fans wont work with dimmers
ive tried it, it will damage the fan motor in the long run
Nice idea capslock more video bravo
What an amazing idea!
yes very Amazing i will try this
Wow galing 👏👏👏
2nd demotion to @CAPSLOCK MEDIA
Is it safe for the induction motor?
This is for 500 watts just try to check your induction motor is fit
Depends on the type of the motor.
@@marekogarek6329 A basic fan motor is low torque start up...even with different sets of windings. No problem, imo.
wowww ..try ko din yan sa bahay.

asynchronous motor will be overheating if you use it with dimmer

ang galing naman niyan sir....
Thanks for nice comments
Thats great..panalo
WoW! Amazing
Bad idea, fans motor will be overheating, dimmer may use only for collector motor (drill ets.)
Explain why the fan will over heat?

'Fan controllers' are dangerous too (at least most AC fan controllers).

Bad idea....fan speed running slow
AKALA KO SA ILAW LANG #CAPSLOCKMEDIA SALAMAT.
Standard SDS-9
Desk fan
All other videos say that you can't use a dimmer switch to slow down an electric fan. It won't work.
this will dmg fan motor in the long run
Doesnt work
Ummmm… this is not safe.
Perfectly safe.
