  • Transitioning my Alocasia Silver Dragon from soil to PON/Semi-hydro.
My Alocasia Silver Dragon wasn't really doing well, so I decided to move it to PON. During this I noticed it was severely infected with spider mites. Probably that was the reason why it wasn't doing very well.
Hoping this switch from soil to PON will help it heal and thrive 🎋

.. The sponge or the nets are from when the plants was made as seadlings at a nursery somewhere.. Lots of plants have these.. Annoying?? Absolutely.. And they don't do any good for the plants when growing bigger, other than make the plant suffer since they can't grow properly and the sponge can cause roots to die when they can't get nutrients..
.. Simply just remove it when repotting, like you do now..

True...just that at times we can't cause so much trauma to a plant that's already traumatized from the couriers and we only end up checking when the problem has already started 😫
