That baby girl is SO TEENSY WEENSY and beautiful, tiny, tiny!! New Momma is so lucky to have a loving mentor-mom-grandmomma to advise her, help her be strong. My prayer's are wirh this fine family.
Exactly what I thought ..the most selfless act on this single mom's part already 3 kids and she takes on another kid thats not hers & the teen gets pregnant instead of her shunning or scolding she welcomes her & makes space for her unbelievable. Beautiful lady! Only thing missing is a bassinet & take away a little even $1500 from landscape for washer/dryer because she's going to need that asap.
I don't see why there so many complaining about the washer and dryer situation. The moral of the story is this young lady recieve a granny flat for her and the little one.
At first I was pooh-poohing that deck. But, when I saw how it integrated into the timber wall and the painted backyard fence, that was really brilliant. This episode was so heartwarming. I wish that family so much well; all the feels.
Omggg thank you for ripping down those hideous blinds or whatever they were they were such an eye sore.!!! And would have definitely runined the whole thing
I've lived in about 12 different places in Australia, and I've never had a backyard that big, and flat... That size property, and two of those shipping containers, would make a perfect home for me and my dog!
hey crew. you did a fantástic job with what the owner asked you to do...this container will be good for visitors as she said In the vídeo. and for now it will help that teenager. the work is neat. i love the landscaping. but above that, i al listening to a lot of tour vídeos lately and i appreciate the personnality of Adam.. always happy, respectful, good teacher, open minded and what a piece of man. thank you guys for sharing tour vídeos. cheers from México!
Extremely beautiful job. A lot of stuff in that tiny space, nicely done. Gorgeous outside, nice cover-up on the back of mom's house. But the yard & deck are off the hook! 😗
Why is there no mention of the plumbing costs and the electricity costs of hooking the granny flat up? Does it magically get electricity, water and sewage taken away?
+JustTekkers I know it is not there job but the video is titled a granny flat for $50,000. This is a lie because when you add the costs of plumbing and electricity. This granny flat cost a lot more then $50,000. And as someone looking into building a granny flat this video is close to useless for the real information that I need.
+Dwayne Beagley *"Their". Leave the landscaping out, that alone was almost 9k. So just buy a tree and some pebbles for the garden, grow your own lawn; and put the rest of the $ to plumbing + e. Problem solved. (It is not misleading, the garden is technically not part of the flat.)
50k lol. Typical Australia. Everyone is out to over price and rip you off. I do everything my self because pretty much any contractor will rip you off unless it’s a mate. I could whip that up for about 18k
Tru I’m going to build my own tiny house on my parents land, I’ve been researching a lot about building small houses from scratch and this seems just like what they do with pre built pc’s, they can be made themselves but you pay the premium if you can’t do it yourself

As a professional...I believe your heart 💜 is in the right place, however as you’re a Single Parent and raising your own independent, intelligent and smart ladies.…Please use caution when mentoring these awesome gals to NOT perpetuate a cycle that you I’m certain would not be done on purpose. Having Strong, Stable and professional men is critical to MENTORING them for future well rounded parenting... I come from a background that certainly identifies with the same problem. Thank you so much for posting this step by step process. 👍👏🏽💌🙇🏻♀️
Cheapest granny flat i could find is foldable one 37m2 on ebay its 20k , + transport + council approval + installation + sparky + plumer + Sewer system etc... i think you need at least 60k for that + land...
+هــلآ المحمد I guess I am more then i thought, was gonna watch 2-3 on renovating a bathroom, i've literally spent hours sitting and watching another after another.
I guess you never planned, designed, built or renovated. Its a good decision to not put washing machine and dryer at the moment. She can use the space for a baby bath and use the existing water & waste for washing machine. Later on they can put a washing machine & dryer when the mother & baby move out. Jason mentioned something out renting the granny flat. As for now she can use her adoptive mother's laundry.

Great granny flat, you can tell it was designed for a single person, or a couple without kids. Don't you think a young mother, with a newborn would want a bathtub? ( I'm just sayin). My wife insisted upon it when our first was born. Now that I'm 53 and single, I love it and I want one.
You guys need to stop saying "it's not fit for the mom and her baby" and "she doesn't look very pleased. She was probably very nervous and excited. People show excitement in different ways. And the woman said it might be for her daughters if they need somewhere to go and live or if her parents need to stay with them. It wasn't for sure going to her daughter and the baby. And if it was the mom would obviously get a crib and basic supplies for the baby.
Would be good idea to buy a very basic one. With just a few lights and electrical outlets. And a set of stairs on one end. Dig a hole, drop it in. And stack the next one on top. Make double level ones. Much better. Doing it yourself is or with a small crew. Would save you thousands. You can get storage containers 3 grand. 6 thousand for 2 large ones. Cut windows out, floors etc. You can call electrical in. It is not unatainable. However expensive when they prefabricate it for you.
Are all Australians this relentlessly cheerful?!
