But there focus has transitioned this December as they focus solely on "Christmas In The Creek"
A year ago, former mayor Russ The Suss cancelled Christmas for all the residents of Otter Creek
So the residents came together to throw the biggest Christmas Celebration the tiny town has ever experienced
But now they have to go back to the normal Town Hall Meetings where absolutely anything can happen
In the midst of 2 special meetings, Don The Con decided that he needed to just leave the meeting early

The checks shouldn't be handed out until the end of the meeting.
I disagree about the private info. If you want to run as a public official and be in charge of making financial decisions with taxpayers money, the taxpayer should know if you are financially a responsible person.
I believe this new attorney will keep Don and Russ IN CHECK! The fact that she's a woman makes it even more gratifying since Russ degrades women. Get 'er Done!🎉🎉🎉
Absolutely love the fact that lawyer made don lose every bit of attitude in his voice when she shut him down until the motion was seconded. She castrated his vocal cords 😂
Why not suggest an amendment that council members MUST be present and seated by a specific time and must remain until closing (barring medical emergencies), or they will not get paid. Passing out checks only after the closing of proceedings would also discourage early departures.
Being late to an official meeting is disrespectful to members and the town. Don needs to give up his seat throwing a temper tatrum and leaving a meeting is not what an elected official should ever display.
I think that if your late and walk out early your cheque should be automatically cancelled.
I hate to see Ms. Gail leave. But I completely understand why she did. I'm surprised Russ the Suss and Don the Con filled out the paperwork showing their financials for the state.
I'm glad that they have an attorney that actually participates. I can't wait for the next video to see her put Don in his place.
I thought Don the Con & Russ The Sus would both leave and never show up again. So the council can fill 3 seats with better, smarter, common sense, people. I gotta a feeling they will leave their seats by Jan. 2024 because personal info going public. Thank Goodness to the lawyer for being there. 😃👏👏👏

As an Australian I really struggled with Mr Fox's accent. All I can say is "What does the Fox say?". I am glad Jeremy clarified a lot of what he was saying. And who hung the bells on the door? It was almost as bad as the original squeak.😂
As I watch this, I sit here & just shake my head, from left to right several times. Don't give up your 4th Amendments rights. Government knows too much now about you already.

Don the Con was only there for 12 minutes. He took his $100 check, he gets paid for a full meeting, for 12 minutes. WOW! I need a job like that! LOL!

I can't wrap my brain around it. Don initially said proceed with resolution 202308, then he says he opposes it. Does he fail to realize he's completely going against what he said literally less than 5 minutes beforehand?

I used to write and administer grants for a small Texas town. This "grant writer" is NOT doing the right thing by the town. The grant administrator is not supposed to tell the council which thing they should do with their money, whether to spend it on something or to send the money back...they are supposed to advise whatever is "fiscally responsible", and a building that no one will use and they can't pay the maintenance and taxes on is not anything I'd call fiscally responsible. What a MESS!

I watched the meeting last night. Firstly it gave me a headache from shaking my head so much.
Secondly, I would have loved to hear the new attorney's thoughts on that meeting. She is probably wondering what the hales she got involved with and is it worth the money.

If it wasn’t for Jeremy explaining what the man was saying I couldn’t follow what he said.
City council really needs to think carefully about the community center, with the small amount of money the grant is by the time all the permits and engineers and others involved in just the planning stage are paid what size of a building could be built? It's gonna be a small building, not big enough to serve as a community center. Then who pays for electricity, repairs, and other up keep after it's built?

I don't remember the company that this gentleman worked for. At this point I would not employ them. One, why was this information not given to the town when new leadership took over? So this could be already done with. And at this point I don't even know what his last meeting was because he says it wasn't.

Two citizens stepped up to evidently criticize elected officials at a board meeting and both were arrested. They sued. And won a settlement of $300,000.00. Simply because, citizens have a right to speak up !
