NAVEEN Nani depends on the rod that goes across for the backdrop, but you need a buy a heavy duty light stand. I use a C-stand for both my lights and background.

I mean if i bought Flash Light Stand, will it serve back drop stand purpose.

It is designed to fit over a light stand mount, but you can use the 1/4 screw to light stand adapter. a.co/0v4p84I
On that S type bracket, do you have to have a certain type of stand? The stands I have have a male screw on adapter on the top.
