@Johnny Mccrum Of course a PC will run rings around any such device, but a PC will also always be on the market. My concern is it becoming a PSTV type device, considerably flawed in its default state, yet flexible once modified. And with its new found convenience, becoming increasingly hard to find for an acceptable price.

BE CAREFUL - when he mentions that there are 56 compatible USB sticks this is WRONG!! Follow the link to the Google Spreadsheet - look on the next tab (Compatible Devices List) - where there are 19 sticks of which only 9 (nine!) will work with the PlayStation Classic. The reason his original stick didn't work was (probably) because it was USB 3.0, whereas USB 2.0 seems to be the most compatible choice. You probably could use a USB 3.0 stick when attached to a powered USB 2.0 hub though - YMMV.
What would be better to use for the USB adapter for the classic...it calls for a 5 Volt, 1 amp...I have a 5.2 volt 1 amp and a 5 volt, 1.5 amp. Please advise.
What’s the biggest sd/usb stick that works has anyone used a 64gb or 128gb yet? Can anyone confirm if they work? Edit never Mind just checked your list and Iv purchased the cruzer blade 128 gb stick which should be plenty of room, you have to remember you need a lot of memory for the many save states so for eg if you got a 32gb stick you need to leave at lease 1gb free for saves I maxed my stick out with games then it kept rebooting during a save state as there was not enough space left for saves
The Games Shed I've redownloaded every version and still isn't in the folder. The weird thing is that I got the USB to load up on the system. So if I get this right. The only real downside here is that we still can't boot up a better configured emulator. And the memory stick occupies the second controller port. So no new 2Player games? That seems to be the main reason someone would need to get into the system memory itself. Fortunately, most 2 player game are not the multi disc epics. So if someone figures out how to swap game ROMs internally you could put a solid library of multiplayer games on the console and run everything else from a flash stick.
Anyone had any luck getting GTA London to run? Game asks for disc swap to original GTA, but system won't let me swap disc, even after putting original in same folder and adjusting the .ini
this is what i found: "put both GTA and GTA London in the same GameData folder Load GTA London, it asks for GTA, enter emu menu, change cd image to the other disc, press X for the game to read, it asks for GTA London, emu menu switch back to the first disc."
When starting BleemSync.exe on my Win7 x86 I get this: Failed to load the dll from ... , The library hostfxr.dll was found, but loading it from ... failed. Installing .NET core prerequisities might resolve this problem. Ok, I went to the microsoft website to download these "prerequisities", found .NET SDK there, but can't install it cuz my system is x86, and SDK is x64. So I have no fckng clue what to do. Bought the PSC just today :\
Hmmm... I have seen this game working so may not be populating properly. I will give it a go at some point in the next couple days and see how I get on..
I haven't tried 7 as it comes on the system but 8 and 9 run for me but I cannot do anything, none of the buttons on the controller work except for the d-pad. Have this issue on several games actually, games run but I cannot start them. Also cant get to the simulation mode of Gran Turismo 2, only arcade mode and I don't see any way to switch discs.
I figured out Gran Turismo 2. Start the game, hit select+triangle to bring up the menu, select change cd image, select disc 2, press select+triangle again, go to PCSX Menu, Restart game. Now you can play simulation mode.

Hello thanxx for the video. I got the problem that some games have sound but not music sound.. What have I fail? Ridge racer is the best example the
Music tracks don't function..
Does it need the png files to show , because I got mine to show up , Marvel vs Capcom won't start but it's there on the menu , is this because I added no png file ?
Newest version of Bleemsync adds a PNG and config file if you just put the bin and cue files in the folder. Give that a go.
@@TheGamesShed can you link me to the newest one please
Same link. Just make sure to use 0.4.0 or above
Does it revert to the standard game list etc when the usb is unplugged or is it flashing a different firmware?
It goes back to normal as nothing on the internal memory is touched.
Nice one, cheers for info.
Does the games added with BleemSync work with the 8bitdo adaptor and a PS4 controller?
I will try in a couple of weeks. Waiting for my adapter to arrive from Amazon ;-)
My usb wont format to fat32. It says exFAT instead.. New memory stick?
Where did you get your games from ? I've tried a few sites but in some cases I don't get a .png file or even a .cue file ?? Help
Hey Kevin. Cue files can be made yourself. They are just a text file linking the .bin file. I would suggest getting your Google on to be honest as everything is online.. sorry I can't help anymore than that...
@@TheGamesShed ok thanks.
does the hackability make this a worthy purchase?
I think it makes it much more of a purchase but at the same time the hack is in its infancy. A lot more to come for sure and I will cover it on TGS
I think so. I have a modded SNES Classic, it's so much fun playing all of my favorite games with friends and family. I now have the PlayStation Classic.
Edit: Modding the PlayStation Classic is easy and now I have all of my favorite games on a flashdrive that you plug into the 2 player USB! Love it!
I just picked one up from best buy open box for 80 dollars for that price I dont mind I have tons of emulators but having it on a playstation setup with playstation controllers is worth ever penny imo
not yet imo, not when emulation is still a free option.
I follow all the step my haven't work pls help me i got a 64gd flash drive sandisk
IM NOT HAVING ANY LUCK. i keep having some sort of lag. ive tried multiple cards and ive even tried to format an external hdd and that failed but i tried the pny 128gb 2.0 card and i keep getting some sort of lag. and i have to keep waiting long ass loads.

These are now 39.09 after tax at Target using their app which gives you a 40% off coupon on top of the 59 dollar price. If your store still shows the price as 99 have a manager at the customer service desk change it for you, using the apps price of 59 or a competitor ad as an example.

so all my games come in as ether iso or 7z and cue files, no bin. I'm
guess I have to convert the Iso/7z to Bin? But I'm having trouble
figuring out how. I have power iso and tried with that but no luck. I'm
completely out of my depth any help would be appreciated.
Check out my latest quick tip videos. The software I use called imgburn will sort this issue out for you.
7z are zip files. Use an unzipping program (like 7z), extract files, done! A bin and a cue file will pop out!
Hey Game Shed and people down here in the comments, I'm having trouble with the modding. I've followed the steps and have the games on my usb however, when the game is booted up, I can't select anything from any of my games. The directional buttons work but the x and start button don't. I assume it's where I downloaded the games from but I tried another site and had the same problem. Can anyone down here or TGS, yourself, help me out?
hi, what site do you download your games from as all the ones I used to use have stopped working????
Hey Mr T, apologies but I can't tell share any sites like that on here
use the piratebay with utorrent
Ripped pal wipeout 2097 using imgburn, followed instructions, shows on main menu but just blackscreens if you try and launch it. Ideas? Already tried to run as PAL since it’s a PAL disc.
Edit: it was the bios. It was set to JP by default. Changed region to PAL, changed bios to non jp, booted first time and plays awesomely!
Side note: I ripped the disc straight to bin and cue files using ONLY igmburn. It auto generated the cue file from the one in the disc.
Awesome! Glad it worked. Thanks for letting us know
Question, is it possible to resume from the same point you saved after loading new games to the USB stick?
Sorry can you explain a bit more please.
@@TheGamesShed let's say I play a game.. In the middle of the game I decied to close down by pressing reset (which saves the game state on a virtual memory card) and then I can play a different game and return to the exact same state of my first game when I want to. My queation was what happens ti saved states if I unplug the USB stick from the PS classic (Either to load new games or to just go back to the PS classic selection)
Great question and now I understand... To be honest I have no idea. I think they are just saved to the memory stick for when you use it again.
Fantastic video, thanks! How can I access the emulator menu and change it running at PAL to NTSC?
You have to plug in a keyboard to access the emulator menu. Not sure if you can run Pal at NTSC speed though. May be better to just download or rip NTSC games
If you unplug the usb and boot as normal does it revert to the original 20 games?
Yes it does. The PS classic internally memory is currently untouched with this method.
Hey can you tell me a website where to download the games?
On this tonight :) Cheers Mark
How do I use BleemSync 1.0.0? It doesn't have BleemSync.exe in the folder.
Are you referring to the usb hub or power adaptor?
@@TheGamesShed Sorry, the power adapter, please?
Ah ok... I used a regular 1.0 amp plug and that did it. PC usb ports are 0.9 amp
@@TheGamesShed Thank you so will it be ok to use the 5.2 volt, 1 amp? It's better to have the amps match rather than the volts?
Yeah that should be fine. All I know is that it needs at least 1 amp...
What’s the biggest sd/usb stick that works has anyone used a 64gb or 128gb yet?
Can anyone confirm if they work?
Edit never Mind just checked your list and Iv purchased the cruzer blade 128 gb stick which should be plenty of room, you have to remember you need a lot of memory for the many save states so for eg if you got a 32gb stick you need to leave at lease 1gb free for saves
I maxed my stick out with games then it kept rebooting during a save state as there was not enough space left for saves
Great stuff. 128GB will give you loads!!! I bought a 32GB and it's perfect for the amount of games I want on it.
latest version of bleemsync doesn't have the same folder structure....
So does this hack make the games run stable and not have fps issues like the original games?
As long as you just download NTSC versions of the games.
Can I use a 1 terrabite USB stick? I'm Gunna download the whole PS1 library ha
where can u download the games?
I'm having the major issue of not having the bleemsync application. So with that being said the game won't load up for me. I'm kinda lost on this.
Try and redownload Bleemsync.
The Games Shed I've redownloaded every version and still isn't in the folder. The weird thing is that I got the USB to load up on the system. Now with that being said, the images are not showing up and the games won't play. I've seen multiple answers to this like I need a different USB or even a powered hub for the current one I have. Some even have said that the cue file may be incorrect but when I check it everything is as it should be.
Wait, so if I put the flash drive into the ps1 will all the games on it that come with it preloaded be deleted?
No. They will stay on the internal memory and when you remove the usb and reboot they will be back as normal.
The Games Shed thanks I might have some later questions though as I’m getting one later this week
I am having problems with mine. it hasn't worked or even attempt to load I am using a Sandisk Cruzer SDC236-008G 8GB. Any suggestion on Flash drives from Walmart would be appreciated. I am lost at this point.

I have tried this several times with two USB stick to no success. I have followed this guide to the letter but it refuses to work. The one thing I notice that the System > Databases > Regional when opened does NOT contain the names of the games like you show on the video. I'm guessing the USBs are no good for this?
Try taking the game info file out of the game folders and process Bleemsync again. 0.4.1 allows auto processing of the cue and bin files. If not then you may have just been unlucky with usb sticks.. I purchased a 32gb SanDisk cruzer blade for £11 and it works a treat

Any recommendations for software that rips the bin cue files from my ps1 games?
Imgburn
Put your PS1 disc into your computer.
Open ImgBurn.
Click Mode>Read.
Choose the destination of the file, by clicking the little folder+magnifying glass button.
Click the CD button at the bottom.
Wait for it to finish ripping.
You can use a usb hub in usb 1 for 2 player.
My usb stick is picking the games up on the ps but when i try and load them nothing happens? Any one else having this problem?
Hey, not sure why your games are not being picked up. Maybe check out my automation video in this playlist and see if that helps?
Anyone had any luck getting GTA London to run? Game asks for disc swap to original GTA, but system won't let me swap disc, even after putting original in same folder and adjusting the .ini
this is what i found:
"put both GTA and GTA London in the same GameData folder
Load GTA London, it asks for GTA, enter emu menu, change cd image to the other disc, press X for the game to read, it asks for GTA London, emu menu switch back to the first disc."
Do I have to run BleemSync.exe each time I add or delete a game?
Yes as this refreshes the database and adds cover art
When starting BleemSync.exe on my Win7 x86 I get this: Failed to load the dll from ... , The library hostfxr.dll was found, but loading it from ... failed. Installing .NET core prerequisities might resolve this problem.
Ok, I went to the microsoft website to download these "prerequisities", found .NET SDK there, but can't install it cuz my system is x86, and SDK is x64. So I have no fckng clue what to do. Bought the PSC just today :\
I would suggest redownloading Bleemsync again. It may be a dodgy download...

Hi I tried the automatic bleemsync but Final Fantasy Vii didn't work ? Is it because of multiple disks?
Has it got multiple tracks per disk as well?
@@TheGamesShed no just multiple disks....3
The Playstation Classic is now dropping in price due to the console being a dud and stores having way too much inventory of it. As of now, it's $40.00 brand new at WalMart's webstore. Within a month or two, it will probably drop further in price.
I use autobleem it's a lot better
part 2, cover multiple discs and track files a little more. i’m pretty confused some of these games have 3 track files and stuff. when it’s multiple discs do i just make a folder for example (5) and throw all 4 discs information in there and title it (Final Fantasy 8)
Will do dude. Gonna cover how to use cdmage to join tracks into a single bin file.

The Games Shed I noticed that the USB is not allowing some of the files to be saved on there due to FAT32 format for some reason. It copied all the files to the USB after I chose another format type (one that starts with N). Is that okay or that’s an issue??
The Games Shed using the FAT32 format method, it tells me “some of the properties of some files cannot be copied” and then everything skips. But it doesn’t happen with the other format type. Thanks!!
NTFS is not working yet with Bleemsync I'm afraid.
The Games Shed man, i bought two USBs that don’t work. Buying my third now. I saw your link it says you have a cruzer blade (which doesn’t work) gonna buy the cruzer glide(hopefully it works). Please advise !!🤣
Do you need to have a cue and bin file in order to work?
Yes, .cue and .bin files to make it work.
What if im trying to put Final Fantasy IX on here? It has 4 separate disks what do I name all the files?
Add all 4 bin files and the cue file into a folder and then remove the config file from the folder. Run Bleemsync and let it auto organise it for you.
@@TheGamesShed So in this example, would we still have to change the name before running bleemsync? Or just have bin 1,2,3,4 (without editing the name) in the same folder and Bleemsync will take care of the name for us?
Add bin 1234 and cue file into the folder then let Bleemsync do the rest.
I can confirm that Dualshock 4 is working with PS Classic adapter from 8BitDo and Bleemsync. Have just been playing Rage Racer, Gran Turismo I and II, and it works perfectly if a bit twitchy.
