I was born in 75 and also have a teen son, 15 year old. Same dynamics in our relationship. We have gone to a ton of shows together, met our heroes, and I have built him a solid record collection. I also got into rock/metal because of the Kiss movie. It is called Kiss meets the phantom of the park. I actually saw it at the movie theatre cause I lived in Mexico during the time it came out. The movie was so bad that here in the states it was released straight to tv, but in Mexico it was released on the big screen. And yeah, the imagery had a profound impact on me. It is cool to see you guys do videos together. And yeah, I’m a massive Dinosaur Jr fan too. 🤘🏽
Alquimia 7 dude I still have the Kiss movie on vhs 🤘
Thrash Brody ha ha, yeah it’s on the Kissology 2 dvd too.
Alquimia 7 nice
wow, i'm Mexican, i love Dinosaur Jr (saw them in 91 in California, with a quite lousy Nirvana opening up for them', also saw the Kiss movie when it was released in cinemas in MX, back in 81 or something, they called it 'Kiss en el Infierno del Rock' ('Kiss in Rocknroll Hell' haha.. maybe the band got the idea for their song 'Rock and Roll Hell' off Creatures of the Night after finding out about the way the Mexican movie people renamed the film?)
Elliot my dad got me into metal and I did the same with my kids.
Your dad raised you right. You have great taste in metal.
Elliot, I love your video's you are a cool kid. I keep 2 vinyl records on top of my half stack like a shrine. OZZY diary of a madman and IRON MAIDEN live after death. My kids love my heavy metal cover's, my 3 year old boy loves to sit with me and look through the covers. He loves the Carrol SLAYER covers as well as the Riggs MAIDEN collection. When I was 7 my older brother's MAIDEN cover's scared me real bad, now these kids are'nt afraid of anything! I really enjoy watching you have a good time with your Dad going over these covers, it's a special thing.

Now my son is a metal head. He’s 19 and I’m 40 and it’s so cool connecting with him regarding anything metal. So it’s obviously very cool seeing other father/son bonding over metal 🤘🏼
Let the metal flow, Elliott! Keep up the great work 👍🏻
excellent covers, a big greeting from Costa Rica, I like your content, keep it up, for people like you metal will always be alive

thank you!
My dad isn't exactly a metal head but he likes deep purple and alot of 60s & 70s kind rock music there is some metal in there but not too much and he varies that with soul music & blues, but what's funny is that I showed him Rammsteins music and the live show on RUclips and a while later he got a little into it after we listened to some and so I got tickets to see them live for real and then we went on the concert and he was blown away by the show and is completely hooked on them now, and that's very cool.
Somewhere in time is awesome
I really love Sepultura's Chaos A.D album cover. And Slayer's Divine Intervention. Great video, guys! 🤘🔥🤘
The scary women on the Sabbath cover..Dad says..." I wish we could see her when we are out going on a hike"..... and then Elliott would interview her and ask her what bands she's into. LOL
Awesome to see dad and son sharing like interest together. I would like to see more conglomerations with you both in future vids
Starting to collect vinyl. Can’t wait to have a collection like you two! So far, I have two records. Gotta start somewhere.

hermann ernst We were almost going to include that one!
@Rushing Ben Point of Entry is amazing.
@@hugolafhugolaf I could never understand why that album was so underrated, even the front cover is cool simple as it may be, it has an atmosphere to it that fits the music and you're not quite sure what exactly it's showing. I'm talking the original cover here, I should add, not the later one with a road on it.
Caught somewhere in time!!! Such a great Piece
KoЯn- LIFE IS PEACHY
SlipKnoT- Iowa
Slayer- Region of BLOOD
Black Sabbath- bloody sabbath bloody
Alice In Chains- Dirt

The Metalhead Ska Punk Gamer just because I didn’t say in blood instead of of doesn’t mean I’m a poser I’ve see slayer on there final tour and I got a tour shirt if your going to comment shit that won’t make me happy then don’t say the shit u say at all OK?
Lol you mean Sabbath bloody Sabbath buddie
love watching you guys keep it up
You have made a very good selection. With so many options, it's not easy. I find that especially in the 70s, 80s and 90s years iconic covers were published. In addition, a few essential covers from that time: Celtic Frost - Morbid Tales; Coroner - Mental Vortex; Darkthrone - Transivalian Hunger; Deep Purple - In Rock; Destruction - Infernal Overkill; Entombed - Left and Path; Kreator - Terrible Certainty; Krokus - Headhunter; Paradise Lost - Icon; Queensryche - Operation Mindcrime; Running Wild - Gates to Purgatory; Sodom - Persecution Mania; Venom - Black Metal; Voivod - Nothingface
That Queensryche cover is a really memorable one 🤘🏼
@@littlepunkpeople Definitely. I saw Queensryche live together with Mötley Crüe, Metallica and AC/DC in 1990. A year later I attended another unforgettable concert under the motto Christmas Metal Meeting with Kreator, Morbid Angel, Sepultura and Motörhead. After that I was dead ....
What a collection! Really cool video dude! Stay Metal \m/
Keep those drinks away from the vinyl!!! LOL
Some of my favorite album covers are Bark at the Moon, Holy Diver, Pyromania, Shout at the Devil, and Number of the Beast along with all the other Iron Maiden covers.
I love the videos with your father Elliott! It’s like watching two best friends hanging out 🤘🤘
I am speechless.....first time watching this sweet little punk people, watching the interviews.....lucky bastards. Have all this records. Love you guys. Sweet moment of internet ThankU guys. Sweet couple. Wonderful! Hugs from Portugal
Dino Correia 🖤🤘🏼
Great father and son bond.
Thank you so much for the helpful video. You open up new horizons in rock and metal music. Make more videos like this. 🤘 Regards 🤘
Dad, Zeppelin totally belongs up there, they are a foundation band for most of those other bands. Also great that you got Bad Brains in there, one of the most perfect records in every way.
Glad to see you and your dad talking music together. I’m 42 and my son is 16. I got him into metal early. His first concert we went to was Ghost. After that I created a monster.
Dude, I hope you love, “My War”, the album, as much as the album cover! It might be my favorite of theirs, as difficult as it is to pick one. I love how weird they got on it, cartoonish is right!
Also, I agree with your dad on favorite Maiden album cover, but as far as music, it’s maybe my least favorite. Also, I love that you love “Killers”, such a classic! I’d say it’s tied for my third favorite of theirs, but it’s so freaking hard to rank their albums. My favorite will always be, “Seventh Son”, just because I love the flow of it, and it’s got so many of my favorite deep cuts and hits, but after that it’s crazy hard to rank them.
Your dad is right about that Danzig album, though, definitely perfect, definitely their best, and anyone who makes fun of him for being a Led Zeppelin fan is dumb. Come on, they were considered heavy metal in the 70s, and even if they aren’t today, their music, especially that album, is incredibly important to metal. Same with AC/DC, and DEFINITELY same on Dinosaur Jr.! I was born in 1987 and only a baby or little kid when most of their music came out, but I too got into them in college, starting with “You’re Living All Over Me”, which is still my fav.
*Most* metalheads aren’t dumb and closed minded enough to make fun of someone for liking rock n roll, or any genres of music, and for the losers who do, screw ‘em! I *love* post punk, always will; it was the genre I first fell in love with as a teen, well before I got deeper into metal.
Anyway, I gotta stfu, or I’m gonna be annoying and comment on all of these.. lol
Suffice to say, pretty great albums and album art that y’all selected for this!!! 🤘😈🤘
You guys are the best.
That face as dad sips on beer!👀
Wow, Elliot, you are so big now! Great choice of albums. As the great Chuck Schuldiner said, "Keep metal alive!"
Best Maiden Art is The Number of the Beast imo... great picks all around guys, so many great choices here.
My 2 favourite covers of all are:...And justice for all and brothers in arms...
Little punk is getting taller each day! Stay strong, stay metal!
Anything with Vic and Eddie on the cover
Damn you got a voice now been watching all 2016-18 stuff lol
Great video! I'm around your dads age so this brings back a lot of Nastolgia for me. I was just thinking how cool of an album cover Danzig 1 is. Metal albums have always had the coolest art. Every time I go to my local record store, I like to browse the metal section just to stare at albums.

Ok boys, here ya go and a damn good album too.....
Dangerous Toys
Dangerous Toys
These boys wrote a song about Alice Cooper called "Scared" cant go wrong!
Also they are from Austin, Tx
So you know its going to have a bad ass sound! 🤘💀🤘
Love dangerous Toys. Hellacious acre's was great too. Junkyard was another Texas band in the late 80's that was absolutely kick ass.
I've had the pleasure of going to Texas a couple of times, want to go back. Awesome music and the most beautiful girls in the country.
@@saltpeter7429 havent heard Hellacious Acers will check them out!
There is just something about that Tx metal sound thats different from all the rest, it has a rowdyness to it...
@@DigtialCr0w yeah man, I think it was the Tex-mex blue's influence on it, at least the hard rock bands. Stevie Ray Vaughn, ZZ Top, Johnny Winter. Not people you think of, when you think of hard rock, but that's how you get something special. Regional music movements, Athens GA. Seattle, etc.Its all a big mixing pot of boiling music stew, and some places like Austin Texas serve up some delicious Rock and roll. I think Gary Clarke jr is comin out of there, a blues guy, not a hard rocker, but who knows what impact he will have on the flavor! Sorry for ranting...Hellacious Acres is the second Dangerous Toy's album. It's awesome! A rare case of being as good as the first.
This was a great idea guys! Man, how do you pick just one. For me I think it would be Killers, but so many great covers out there. Gamma 2 comes to mind, usually the funny stuff wins out for me(because ya know, Killers is hilarious) LOL!! Youthanasia is pretty badass as well. How about a "Best Opening Track" list, that could be cool. Love the channel Elliott, you're a natural and 15yr old me(that was many decades ago) is quite jealous! Keep up the great work and keep rocking!!!!
I always figured that Dinosaur cover was a planned set up thing. Loved the cover anyway but that makes it so much better. Thanks
Cool...I had the Blizzard Of Oz poster as a kid and I had a Ultimate Sin glass display I won at the fair when it came through...idk if anyone remembers those little heavy metal glass displays you could win as prizes at the fair? But they were pretty cool...I really wish I still had that....The Ultimate Sin is my Favorite Ozzy Cover 🧡
My favorite album art is for the Iron Maiden - Twilight Zone single. You guys had some great choices.
Great choices guys gotta say my all time favorite is Ride the lightning
1. Iron Maiden - Number...
2. Carcass - Reek...
3. Obituary - Cause...

Entombed Left Hand Path.
The woman on the Black Sabbath album is the lead singer of the AMAZING Band LILIAC.......
Cool video Elliott!!! We share a few favorites too. Your Dad and I seem to be about the same age. My Son lives far away from myself. So when we talk on the phone we can talk music for hours. His generation is quite different than mine was but because of him I gave Jinjer a shot and really like them. He likes Slipknot a lot too. I still give him cds for his Birthday!!! I never did take him to a concert but he's been to a few now. A few more favorites of mine are Gojira - from Mars to Sirius album and Primordial - gathering Wilderness. Much Love to you and yours Elliott!!!!
Power slave is mine idk but I just like it so much
My favorite album covers of all time are:
3. Peace Sells (Megadeth)
2. The Number Of The Beast (Iron Maiden)
1. Raining Blood (Slayer)
Nice to see leprosy in here. Definitely my favourite art work ever.
My favorite has to be south of heaven
that one’s on here!
Best Slayer album, best Slayer cover.
You guys are really cool.!
I love Elliot's facial expressions and stuff. I was born in 68. I miss when my two were that age. I've taken them to shows and they like metal. Like my self they open to all types of music. I'm watching this and wondering if you borrowed from my collection. Many of my fav albums and covers there too. Grim Reaper has some great covers too. My fav from them is the "Rock You to Hell" cover. Back in Black cover reminds me of the Spinal Tap "Smell the Glove" cover in the movie. LOL!
You're Dad and I must be the same age - because I got 'somewhere in time' at that age too. It also has a special place in my Iron Maiden heart due to that fact alone. You must be the coolest son ever - to appreciate all that great music.
You forgot Bathory it's ok
Elliot!!!🤘🤘👍👍

@Spectrum of Eternity Official Thank you.
The music was great. Right up my alley.
Kinda like Dissection or early The Crown, which I love.
But the vocals need to be lowered a little bit in the mix.
Your dad opened up for Type o Negative? That is so awesome! What was the name of his band? I always dreamed of opening up for them.
Wow that slayer!!! With the signatures. 😀😀😈
I love Away's artwork so VOIVOD "War And Pain" & "RRROOOAAARRR" have to be included along with Celtic Frost "To Mega Therion" & Sepultura "Beneath The Remains" as favorites.
Honorable mention to Led Zeppelin for "Physical Grafitti" where the windows are cut out of the album cover & the sleeve aligns with the windows.
We actually included To Mega Therion towards the end but edited it out because the video was getting too long. We should have left it in!
@@littlepunkpeople You can't go wrong with using art by H. R. Giger!
That Black Flag My War cover is cool but that Slip It In album cover is friggen awesome!
Yall so cool,
World Coming Down..one of the best covers ever.
One of my favorite cover is Rising by Rainbow.
Why no Appetite for Destruction?
Love that cover.
Good call man! Which one? The unedited postcard robot rape? Or the reissue most of us bought, with the skulls?. Both are cool.
These guy's don't seem to like 80s hard rock.Motley,zRatt, dokken, etc.
the black flag material before henry rollins was better, change my mind
innocence is no excuse might be my favorite, was very intrigued by the cover girl as a kid :D
