  • Your mind is the storehouse of immense power. It not only creates desires, it is also instrumental in fulfilling them.
In this excerpt from his book, Think and Grow Rich, Napoleon Hill explains how desire works and how powerful it really is.
Desire fuels success. In fact, nothing is more powerful than 'THE POWER OF DESIRE' if it is clear. If we truly want something, then that desire must be profoundly clarified. Desire is a starting point where vague thoughts meet with cemented purpose. Once this is accomplished, anything is possible.

This is a really good chapter. I disagree with Hill's portrayal of deafness and thought it shocking that he insisted on Blair not utilizing sign language. Abnormal by today's standards to say the least but I remember then too that this was published in the 1930's. Some truly classic thought right here!

It worked...even back then. 🙄 I think it forced them to maximize the unknown possibility as it was the only way considered. Had he have learned sign language he would have relaxed Nd settled and waited for some rescuer. It kept them focused on remedy that was actual hearing. Sign language is not freeing as so few even know it, correct?

@@patriciabuss1815 It's not. Chapter 1 is one of the most critical part of the book. The author mentioned it few times throughout the book. It's about Edmond C. Barnes and how he used the power of thought and his definite major purpose to meet Thomas Adison. Then how Barnes became Adison's business partner.

For me, it seems a bit inhumane or unhealthy to have such an fixation on a desire. However, maybe that’s been the disconnect for me obtaining some of my desires. I wonder..
