  • We review the Bailey Alliance 59-2 (sub-6m) motorhome for the weekend- just two adults and a dog. It's a bit of a change from our usual 7.9m motorhome!!
After picking up the Bailey Alliance 59-2 motorhome (shown in last week's video), this is our full review. We used it for 3 days, both wild camping and on a campsite.
We hope you find this video useful if you are planning on buying a small motorhome or even the Bailey Alliance 59-2 yourself!

The thing that would be missing for us would be garage space for outdoors chairs, BBQ etc etc

Great review. We're picking up our first motorhome on Friday, but have gone slightly larger with a Bailey Advance 762. It has a similar open plan lay out in the lounge with 2 sofas that converts into a double bed. The main difference is that it has a fixed bed and the bathroom is the full width at the rear. Really looking forward to getting it and starting our adventures. Keep up the good work.

Lack of storage for larger objects seems to be the way with most UK made vans, shame as we do need space for chairs, wind breaks etc. Nice to hear from the fella regarding the layout, good voice and clear.

Great review, we had the same thoughts about restraining our dog so fitted a seat belt clip to the end of the bunk behind drivers seat to clip her in.

I have been thinking of retirement soon and have been seriously thinking of a motorhome, but I have been fixated on having a fixed bed. You have made me think again. Thanks for that😤 So many more choices. Retirement on hold.

We don’t bother with fitted sheets, quilts etc, we just use a decent tog double sleeping bag 👍🏻

A good review of a van in action. My van is 3.88m total length but I reckon I need to join the cab to the living area to open it up a bit, as my living area is too small.

If you like that van you might like the autotrail eks the lockers above the cab are the perfect bed lockers also the extra swing table fitted behind the passenger seat makes a good work area.

Single bloke, new pensioner. Selling up and buying one of these!. I feel the weight already lifting. But a bit scared. Called the van "Phantom 309" "Preston" is my Parsons Jack Russel puppy companion

Looks deceptively small from the outside until you’re inside wow! Love bathroom shower setup! Didn’t see TV? Location. Fantastic for 2 plus dog😉 would your current van suite family of 4 2A 2 C (10 & 13) ? 👍🇦🇺🏁

Great review the shower room is roomy our Knaus has a lovely huge shower room. That''s what we look for in motorhomes, did you notice the black tape on the roof?

nice review only thing is you need to watch the weight on the back axle so if you put a towbar on then it eats into your payload

Wouldn't be without the island bed 7.5mt motorhome. Pull over not having to make up the bed lots of space not putting items away to visit places as we carry a scooter on the rack which is just perfect until it rains that is.

    • @michaeldawson6309
      @michaeldawson6309 5 лет назад

Sort of agree with the always available bed bit but... 7.5m ! just for a bed is not as good as a small nimble van for us. We can take the van more places. I hope there will be more end kitchen options for other manufacturers especially those that have Ford auto options ;-)
I just don't like Fiat comfortmatic its a cludge.

Great video and in-depth review. maybe you need a custom built van to your exact spec? Much better than trying to fit your life to something already made. Then you could put in your extra seat belts and place to work :)

Hi great video pop the dog create between the seats while traveling or I would have seat belt fitted between the drives seat x

    • @WanderingBird

I'd love to put him in a harness/ seat belt... but he chews it! We also use the crate to keep him safe if we leave him alone in the MH... but we're trying to find a better compromise!

Great video. I just wonderd, if you have the gas on all time, do you turn the gas off before filling up with petrol? The fridge has a naked flame the other side of the outside air vents!

Dale Fountain , motorhomes are predominately diesel, not as explosive 🧨 as petrol ⛽️.
