My takeaway information from the video is the placement of the ricepaper design to make it a visual flowing wrap around link from one side of the flat plastic decoration to the other. Patience is required and an eye to create the ageing patina. The crackling technique is a give but the subtle discoloration of a make believe piece of china is a master at work to accomplish this illusion. That is impressive. I have a question. In preparing your bauble do you use regular gesso or heavy gesso abd what is bonding primer? Probably bonding primer is another word for gesso. The use of a primer is what the look you wish to end with. I see that I have a lot of testing to do. Many thanks for sharing. Best of luck for your next creation. This may be out of your comfort zone. Have you ever thought of making and decorating a decorative obelisk? This could be a two or three part video? (build, paint, variations on a theme) Just a thought lol

For wood or polystyrene, you can use any primer, but for glass and plastic you have to choose the primer carefully, I use bonding primer for them. As you say it may be perfect but the main idea come through. Now you are making me want to learn Romanian just like another group I'm following which is Portuguese. Languages are a treasure. Perhaps if people could understand 4 or 5 languages the world would not be so angry. Enough philosophy, and yes I look attentively. Bună Daniela, am o problemă🤔 cu fine line krackle, cel cu 2 faze. Nu îmi iese și nu știu ce fac greșit. Trebuie dat în strat mai subțire, poate îl dau prea gros! Cit timp se usucă, se poate usca stratul 2 cu fönul. Va rog dați-mi un sfat. Am stricat un glob care era gata😢
Buna Eugenia, toata lumea e speriata de acest lac de crapare bicomponent, insa atat de simplu este sa lucrezi cu el, incat dupa ce te inveti cu el, nu-l mai inlocuiesti. Eu recomand straturi subtiri, adica atat cat iei pe pensula si il intinzi peste glob. Mai mult, cand aplici a doua componenta si pui strat gros, o sa iti curga si iti intineaza toata lucrarea.Deci straturi subtiri. Prima componenta este gata cand nu mai este lucioasa si poti pune usor degetul pe ea fara sa lasi urme. Nu se foloseste foenul la acest lac de crapare, se usuca liber, sa obtii crapaturi largi, altfel cu foenul ti se face tăndări. Insa, daca vezi ca nu ies crapaturile, desi e imposibil, dă usor cu aer cald peste el, insa nu insita intr-un loc, si de la mare distanta.
