Hello! Would you mind letting me know the names of the people who make the contemporary flutes? The first is Jeff Barbe but I cannot figure out the second. I found some Berlin flute makers but neither sound like what you said. Thank you.
Hi! Great video, I am wondering if you have any references about transverse flutes in ancient greece and rome, I have found a lot about the aulos but not much of the transverse flutes
Thank you for visiting our virtual instrument exhibit. You can hear Mr Rodenkirchen’s playing in the music bed towards the end of the video, but you are invited to visit the links in the other comments below to hear and see him playing these flutes in concert. The audio will be much better than in this educational video which, as you might understand, was produced remotely during the Covid pandemic year. Thanks for visiting!
You didn't play a single note on any flute. I liked what you said but your refusal demonstrate with flutes in your hand makes me angry with you. I am sorry. I want you to play a scale on each of these flutes. Now shoot your video again please with demonstrations. I want to hear them.
Dear Mr Hoover, We are sorry to hear you were upset by Mr Rodenkirchen's presentations on the variety of medieval flutes which he plays. This video was intended as a instrument exhibit of Mr Rodenkirchen's instrumentarium. May I suggest that you visit his RUclips channel to enjoy the various flutes in question being played in concert and on studio recordings: ruclips.net/p/UUTZ0S-oBAITYBZlNl01pAaA

Really great work! Thank you!
Medieval / Renaissance traverso are definitely on my short list of instruments i would love to have
Great talk! I'm going to order a medieval transverse flute from Boaz Berney and I'm very looking forward to it.
Thank you, very interesting!
