  • Jayco Swan factory integrated
    -300a/h of solarking lithium batteries
-Victron 1200/12 Multiplus inverter/charger running on all of the factory CMS outlets including the Air Conditioner. This will run a toaster, induction cooker, coffee machine, microwave, air fryer, and more. All completely off grid from solar and batteries.
-enerdrive 40+ dc to dc charger for fast vehicle charging and extra portable solar if required.
    -Victron bmv712 battery monitoring system
-400 watts of mono-perc roof mounted solar
-Victron 30/100 smart solar charge controller
This is an overlay system that allows the factory fitted PM35 power management system to function as it is required. No impact on the system and can easily be removed and reverted back to factory anytime. This setup will allow the use of all the Factory CMS outlets seamlessly.
A perfect entry level off grid setup with factory integration

I like how you demonstate entry level set ups as well as the more expensive set ups. Shows us that you are all about giving the customer the best system for the money. I'll be buying a large motorhome later in the year and I'll hit you guys up for the off grid mods I'll no doubt need.

Appreciate it if I only had more time I could show you some of the other setups done also.
What I will try and avoid is using the cheaper items and that is purely for the fact of support in his country. Quality plays a role here as well which is why I try and stick with the Victron Enerdrive or Redarc units. 👍

Looks like a great set up and workmanship as usual!
Im from Adelaide. Enjoy watching the big systems you do but as an owner of a new 13ft Jayco this looks more like a system that I think suit my requirements..

And that’s the beauty of customizations.
You’re not limited to a package you can design the system based on your consumption.

The mroe i see the expense to buy items and install to run induction cookers and coffee machines from inverters in small campers /ute canopies from batteries makes no sense cost wise compared to just using gas.
Perosnally in a cost sense only use this set up purely for running AC off grid for comfort for such a small camper/solar and batery bank set up.

Hi Matty. Do you think the Power Paul 300 would fit in the swan?

Hey mate I'm in adelaide and also have a jayco swan out back and would like to get a similar setup done to be able to run off grid. What's something like this worth? Thanks

Can you tell me when running a dcdc in a caravan from vehicle with a smart alternator is it necessary to connect the ignition wire from dcdc to vehicle.

    • @extremeacc101
      @extremeacc101  2 года назад

      Completely depends on the setup.
We prefer to use an ignition controlled high current relay/solenoid to a rear anderson plug.
The ignition control wire can then be looped into the incoming 12v feed.

@@extremeacc101 yeah looking at the roof of that swan there lifting mechanism is rated to 79kg and it has the aircon and bagend flys with awning so that would put the weight at 76.5kg already. Unless those solar panels weigh 2.5kg together that roof now is overweight and anything happens there will be no warranty just thought I would mention that

@@extremeacc101 even with that being the case it's still over the weight limit by 2.5k I know it doesn't seem like much but jayco will use any excuse to get out of warranty
