I've only mildly followed him since I heard "I Think I Smell a Rat" and every time I dip back in I'm all like "he's gone to the next level." Saw him live in Ho Chi Minh City not long ago on tour! He's literally one of the only famous international rock acts that ever came to perform in Vietnam since I've lived here (about 10 years), so I am loyal to his epic artistry and respect for the countries that rarely get to experience live rock music! And that drummer... gorgeous, powerful, and funky music!
Intensity and punk rock energy or is it garage rock. Whatever it is I’d like to bottle it! It’s like lightning in a bottle. He’s so innovative and fresh sounding. And he doesn’t rest on his laurels. Most people would be satisfied with the White Stripes career. But he keeps going and continues to surprise and amaze me. Thanks JW! And thanks to whoever posted this. I do appreciate it as I don’t go to concerts anymore.
