We loved Modena and felt it was a "hidden gem" of an Italian city. It is a great place for car lovers as well, with Ferrari, Maserati, and Ducati factories right there. Don't forget Osteria Guisti, an amazing restaurant (reservations a must, and they are booked months in advance.)
Dear Alyssa, thanks for sharing your experience in Modena. As an Italian cheese lover I'm crazy about Parmigiano Reggiano. I love both the 24 month and the 30 month old ones and normally I find the younger version preferable in Summer and the older one in Winter, but that's a matter of personal taste. The 36 month old one is a bit too strong but is also worth to try. Ciao from Torino
Loved the video! Don’t say your mother daughter tour is over so soon! 😊 As a child I did not like polenta but as I got older and dressed it up with tomato sauce, sausage, ribs and brocoletti with a sprinkling of grated parmigiano or grana padano it’s absolutely delicious!! Also you need to try polenta sticks they are basically fried polenta with a aioli sauce or marinara sauce 👌👌
Not been to Modena, but the Balsamic Vinegar is legendary, so it is definitely on my radar! Thank you for sharing. Also, I think Polenta is a bit overrated too. 😅
I see your hold-up about the loosen texture (is that right?) of the Polenta but....devi capire che la polenta per essere buona deve essere mangiata con le salsiccie/funghi etc cio che e insieme non da sola, credo! ahahahhahhaah if you know what I mean....
I loved Modena!!! So much respect is given to farmers and producers of amazing products known throughout the world, now I see why.
My hometown
