      @@navyseal1689 In a report prepared in Pyongyang, the non-governmental and historically Communist-affiliated[11][12][13] International Association of Democratic Lawyers lists several alleged incidents of mass murder by U.S. soldiers in Sinchon.[14] In addition, they claimed that U.S troops had beheaded up to 300 North Koreans using Japanese samurai swords, and that the US Air Force was using bacteriological warfare in Korea.[15]: 156  Relying on oral testimony from North Koreans, the International Association of Democratic Lawyers report claims that the Sinchon massacre was overseen by a General "Harrison" or "Halison", an apparent reference to William Kelly Harrison, whom they allege personally conducted many of the atrocities. Their report claims that Harrison took photos of the massacre; however, there is no evidence to confirm their testimony.

Because last I checked the North invaded South Korea and the United States did not get heavily involved until South Korea was on its last legs in Pusan. What about the Bloody Gulch Massacre where killed 75 American POWs? By the way they belonged to an artillery regiment meaning they weren’t frontline troops. China panicked and got involved in a war where they weren’t part of it to begin with. as a result of their governments terrible decisions more American and Chinese died then there had to have been. Germans and Japanese, unlike most Americans, don't feel a sense of pride for "their" side of WWII. A long time has passed since that war, and through multiple generations the small amount of pride or respect for Nazi Germany or Imperial Japan has been reduced to a small fraction of what it once was. Japanese films especially tend to depict war in a more morally grounded and brutally honest way. It's common to see both the "good" and "bad" side take heavy losses or perform morally gray actions. Some of them don't depict either side of a conflict as right or wrong. US war films almost always act as propaganda. A clear distinction is made between the "good guys" and "bad guys." Very few of the good die, and the bad are depicted as lesser beings with poor intelligence or self-preservation.

For example, the retreat of the U.S. Army in the winter of 1950 discarded almost all of its heavy equipment and many of its seriously wounded. The 31st Infantry Regiment of the 7th Division, the Polar Bears, was annihilated, and the 10th Army lost 8,000 men. Walker, the commander of the Eighth Army, was killed in a car accident. Ironically the Molotov cocktail was first used against communists by Finland

    • @Cepg-d1s
      @Cepg-d1s 9 месяцев назад +5

      in any case, the so-called Molotov cocktail is correctly called a Molotov cocktail. it was a mixture of kerosene and pine resin. and the use of this remedy was very rare. The Finnish command also recommended that its soldiers place logs between the rollers and tracks of the tank (there is probably no need to explain how suicidal this is), and as for the use of fire, the Soviet OT 26 flamethrower tanks burned more Finnish soldiers than the Finns with their bottles

    • @Cepg-d1s
      @Cepg-d1s 9 месяцев назад

      and for that matter, the first use of such bottles was in the Rif War of 1923-1926, followed by the Spanish Civil War and the Sino-Japanese War. The Finns had one of the worst versions of this remedy. for example, in the USSR they were invented much more successfully, for example those that are capable of burning at very high temperatures and under water, as well as a spontaneously igniting liquid when a bottle is broken. I would advise you not to write any facts if you do not have complete knowledge. you look pretty stupid. Probably these are shortcomings of your education system or laziness in self-education

      Portrayal of cartoonishly evil stuff by the Americans aside (The scene showing a fishing vessel in the Taiwan strait being rammed by a surfacing Balao class submarine shows they didn't understand scale), they want to show heirarchies of competence which are ranked as:
      1. Genius Mao
      2. Ridgway

There has never existed a war where one side was perfectly good and committed no terrible and hateful crimes against the other. War can easily breed hate, but the winners can lessen the portrayal of that through movies like this. Which is why I really respect when films dig deeper and show both the good and bad.

    This isn’t actually Chinese propaganda, in the opening phases of Chinese troops flooding into North Korea, many UN units were caught by surprise, North Korean troops were in full retreat and UN forces were nearing the Chinese border and expecting an end to the war, not 300,000 fresh troops swarming over their positions. Chinese troops would eventually be thrown back but not until UN forces regrouped and launched a counter offensive

      The North Korean who started the war practically lost it and only survive because China bailed them out at the last moment.
      I considered the Korean War’s conclusion to be a Chinese, South Korean and American victory despite the outcome because all parties got what they wanted except the North Korean. South Korea gets to exist, China got a buffer state and the US gets an ally in the region and benefitted from South Korea’s existence.

      Seems like you know nothing about the Korean War at all.
      The winter of 1950 going into 1951 was one of the worst U.S. military disasters in U.S. military history.
      Through out the winter of 1950 going into 1951 U.S troops through out the northern front we're encircle by the Chinese and cut off from resupply and reinforcements getting attack from all side.
      Something that could of easily been prevented if U.S General McArthur didn't continuously avoid the warning Intel coming from the intelligent team about mass Chinese troops being spotted in area.
      U.S General McArthur truly kept to what he believed, which was that the Chinese would never dare to go to war against the U.S.
      Eventually with lots of pressure from his officers U.S General McArthur had to suck up his pride and finally order a full retreat after U.S reinforcements couldn’t break through to the troops at the front line.
      U.S troops had to fight their way out of the encirclement during the full retreat while the Chinese in mass number we're going after them like hurding ducks.
      If it wasn't for the overwhelming U.S fire power and air support it would of been a total wipe out.
      As U.S General Smith of the 7th Marine had to say to his troops that "Marines never retreat, we are simply advancing in a different direction" to keep his troops morals up.
      The U.S and their U.N allies were completely pushed out of North Korea, and on January 7, 1951, Chinese troops capture soul.
      It was one of the worst disaster in U.S military history.
      General McArthur only real solution to the disaster was the use of Nukes to turn the tide of the war, but U.S president Truman refused the use of Nukes.
      This military disaster ruined General McArthur reputation and led him into retirement after resigning from his position after being accused of an accusation that was most likely set up to force him out into retirement.
      General Matthew Ridgway replaced him and a new military strategy was put in place to deal with the Chinese.
