Germans and Japanese, unlike most Americans, don't feel a sense of pride for "their" side of WWII. A long time has passed since that war, and through multiple generations the small amount of pride or respect for Nazi Germany or Imperial Japan has been reduced to a small fraction of what it once was. Japanese films especially tend to depict war in a more morally grounded and brutally honest way. It's common to see both the "good" and "bad" side take heavy losses or perform morally gray actions. Some of them don't depict either side of a conflict as right or wrong. US war films almost always act as propaganda. A clear distinction is made between the "good guys" and "bad guys." Very few of the good die, and the bad are depicted as lesser beings with poor intelligence or self-preservation.

For example, the retreat of the U.S. Army in the winter of 1950 discarded almost all of its heavy equipment and many of its seriously wounded. The 31st Infantry Regiment of the 7th Division, the Polar Bears, was annihilated, and the 10th Army lost 8,000 men. Walker, the commander of the Eighth Army, was killed in a car accident. But Wikipedia simply states that the UN forces performed well, the surprise attack also forced X Corps to retreat from northeast Korea, but they were, in the process, able to break out from the attempted encirclement by the PVA and execute a successful tactical withdrawal.

in any case, the so-called Molotov cocktail is correctly called a Molotov cocktail. it was a mixture of kerosene and pine resin. and the use of this remedy was very rare. The Finnish command also recommended that its soldiers place logs between the rollers and tracks of the tank (there is probably no need to explain how suicidal this is), and as for the use of fire, the Soviet OT 26 flamethrower tanks burned more Finnish soldiers than the Finns with their bottles
and for that matter, the first use of such bottles was in the Rif War of 1923-1926, followed by the Spanish Civil War and the Sino-Japanese War. The Finns had one of the worst versions of this remedy. for example, in the USSR they were invented much more successfully, for example those that are capable of burning at very high temperatures and under water, as well as a spontaneously igniting liquid when a bottle is broken. I would advise you not to write any facts if you do not have complete knowledge. you look pretty stupid. Probably these are shortcomings of your education system or laziness in self-education

Seems like you know nothing about the Korean War at all. The winter of 1950 going into 1951 was one of the worst U.S. military disasters in U.S. military history. Through out the winter of 1950 going into 1951 U.S troops through out the northern front we're encircle by the Chinese and cut off from resupply and reinforcements getting attack from all side. Something that could of easily been prevented if U.S General McArthur didn't continuously avoid the warning Intel coming from the intelligent team about mass Chinese troops being spotted in area. U.S General McArthur truly kept to what he believed, which was that the Chinese would never dare to go to war against the U.S. Eventually with lots of pressure from his officers U.S General McArthur had to suck up his pride and finally order a full retreat after U.S reinforcements couldn’t break through to the troops at the front line. U.S troops had to fight their way out of the encirclement during the full retreat while the Chinese in mass number we're going after them like hurding ducks. If it wasn't for the overwhelming U.S fire power and air support it would of been a total wipe out. As U.S General Smith of the 7th Marine had to say to his troops that "Marines never retreat, we are simply advancing in a different direction" to keep his troops morals up. The U.S and their U.N allies were completely pushed out of North Korea, and on January 7, 1951, Chinese troops capture soul. It was one of the worst disaster in U.S military history. General McArthur only real solution to the disaster was the use of Nukes to turn the tide of the war, but U.S president Truman refused the use of Nukes. This military disaster ruined General McArthur reputation and led him into retirement after resigning from his position after being accused of an accusation that was most likely set up to force him out into retirement. General Matthew Ridgway replaced him and a new military strategy was put in place to deal with the Chinese.

Some of them don't depict either side of a conflict as right or wrong. US war films almost always act as propaganda. A clear distinction is made between the "good guys" and "bad guys." Very few of the good die, and the bad are depicted as lesser beings with poor intelligence or self-preservation.

@@thejohn6614 The Americans were surrounded and they were in a hurry to retreat, so large numbers of troops were concentrated. I get the feeling that almost all American viewers don't know the real history, which took place around 1950, when American troops were driven from the northernmost tip of Korea to the sea in South Korea by the Chinese army, and almost wiped out completely. It wasn't until 1952 that the U.S. Army gradually balanced the field, pushed the front near Seoul, and began armistice negotiations with China.

@@fridaynight3181 Dude I know you guys base your knowledge on Wikipedia, I read it early on. We also have our own historical sources and I have done comparisons and the two are different in many ways including casualty figures and results of the war.
@@fridaynight3181 The same battle is presented differently on both sides. I know that both sides engage in propaganda and exaggerate the victory of the war. Ironically the Molotov cocktail was first used against communists by Finland
in any case, the so-called Molotov cocktail is correctly called a Molotov cocktail. it was a mixture of kerosene and pine resin. and the use of this remedy was very rare.
It got it's name during the winter war, but both sides used similar improvised incendiaries in the spanish civil war.
And if anyone used Molotov cocktails against tanks in Korean War, it was by South Korean troops fighting off North Korean T-34s since South Korea had no anti-tank weapons.

You really expect me to believe we lost to an enemy with NO AIR SUPPORT? 😂 We had air SUPREMACY
Yeah, you did
You have lost a few battles even with air supremacy
Yes even US lost some battles. But not that dump way like moving whole army without scouts. There Is no Chance whole army would be destroyed by untrained guys that Are running with Molotovs. They would be destroyed
But you can't hold and gain ground with airplanes. That's a fact.
You can destroy key positions, enemy troops and supply lines like bridges and tunnels, but you can't stop your enemy from advancing into said bombed ground, if he just doing it and you don't have own ground based combat troops there.
We withdrew
Пусть это и чистая пропаганда, но согласитесь, это выполнено красиво. Глаза радуются

Imagine the allies saving the Chinese from the Japanese in WW2 only to be repaid by the Chinese by attacking them and supporting North Korea in the Korean War

I think this movie still normal than Rambo conquer Vietnam by himself😂
Yeah but Rambo is fiction, he ain’t real. The stuff he does is meant to be over the top and unrealistic. China is depicting this as real.
Big difference
Может такого и не было в реальности но смотреть очень нравится. Делайте ещё! Как фильм называется?
戰爭是殘酷的,向兩邊的陣亡將士致敬,也向家屬致哀
The cope is real. Americans apparently forgot that they actually lost quite a few battles in korea and were pushed back south
seems like the reds forgot who won the most land after the ceasefire agreement hmmmmmmmm
Приятно смотреть как по настоящему встречают отпетых капиталистов и носителей "демократии" пришедших на чужую землю учить местных жизни, можно смотреть по несколько раз и не надоедает👍👍👍
My uncle fought in Korea. He said the Chinese would come in big waves and wouldnt even try to seek cover. Just keep coming trying to overwhelm positions. He even said many didnt even have rifles but came with spears or swords and big bags of grenades. He had a very large scar on his leg from a chinese bayonet. He did bring back a mosin nagant M44 and a Japanese katana (that the Chinese captured from the Japanese in WW2) from that war that he gave to me complete with the capture papers. He said he picked them out of a gigantic pile of captured weapons.

yes, 長津湖。
The amount of historical inaccuracy is insane
Not really no, it looks very much like a surprise ambush on the US column which did happen during the Korean war a lot of times.
@@hmong_keeb_kwm Just look at Chinese sources for the US KIA, US claim as low as 23k on some sources and a high as 36-40k , Chinese sources claim 52k US personnel killed in Korea which is a lot more believable given the fact that PVA knew how to make US forces a living nightmare of ambushes and organized attacks.
Am I the only who's annoyed that they used mortar fire sound effects on the Pershing's 90mm ?

To all the Russians saying America makes itself look good in propaganda films, well in our films where we portray Russia in the past, we’ve always made them look like an equal in terms of being a powerful fighting force. So how do you explain that? Even in ww2 films we show truly how well of a fighting force the Japanese and Germans where. Even the Vietcong. Were not biased about it. Lol
No, you show them running in a meat grinder in human wave tactics, even the Germans portray SOVIETS in movies better.
@@EthnoFascistSoviets did use meat tactics in ww2. Russia still use meat tactics in Ukraine!
@@rr-sp5ii no, watch some raw footage
@@EthnoFascist As a American and a historian. Yes the Soviets used Mass Assault tactics. Yes American movies over use that fact, however the Soviets only used this tactic during the early days of the Nazi invasion as they desperately tried to slow the advance of the German and Italian armies. Later in the war when the Soviets had more abundant vehicles and importantly higher quality tools to manufacture that heavy equipment (thanks in part to a American architect out of Boston.)
Their tank designs truly shined 1943-1945 as all the defects had been worked out and they could make them with highier quality metals at the same pace.
@Jason-ou1ln Firstly, they did that, but not the "Run without a gun at the enemy"
They essentially put along with squadrons in different defence areas and let them wait there to ambush german forces. These charges were only used sometimes in a desperate situations, but it was never anything the officers required to do. And it was stupid to do that in a position, where you can fall back a few lines.
