Mazda does "upscale" very well. Great colors, fabrics, textures and materials. You're right, Will, that sub $35K there's not much that can compete with it! Enjoy watching your reviews! Good job!
Gotta have the Bose system for sure. Out of all of Mazda's SUVs I heard the Bose sounds the best in the CX-30. Hopefully if Mazda does upgrade to an 8 speed Auto they can do so without sacrificing reliability. I've heard of very few problems with the current 6 speed Auto. Great job on this review as you always do!👍👍
The Bose is reaaaaly good I’m sure it’s even better in this smaller cabin. Hopefully we see a solid transmission update soon! Thanks for the comment 👍🏼
I see no need to go 8 speed vs the proven 6 speed across their lineup. It is very capable of “fast enough” shifting for a vehicle of this style. I have had in our family 21.5 CX5 NA, 22 CX 30 turbo, 22 3 hatch NA, and 23 CX 50 turbo all with the same automatic. Not one issue. If the review vehicle was brand new, two things. It has to “learn” the drivers style with transmission as just putting along at half throttle or less will give it a more economy feel. And did this turbo have regular or premium fuel? Not many dealers put in premium in their demos. There is a difference. Very solid review, well done.👍
Wish it would rev higher and had a larger gas tank. 12 Gallons means frequent refueling. The lack of bose and rearview mirror hurt the most in terms of options.
Three questions: (1) Does this model have cylinder deactivation, and can it be turned off? (2) Is the turbo constantly running, or only activated when power is needed? (3) Can the vehicle operate without the turbo if it should fail? I would really appreciate the info, since I’m seriously considering the CX-30 over the CX-5. Really loving the looks of this machine, so THANKS.
I just bought the CX turbo edition I ended up paying 31,210 and I love it. I disagree with the transmission really needing tuned up that thing hauls it is nice. I like it just the way it is when you turn it to sports mode. That thing is even funner.
@@Truth-op3be thank you for your response, I've heard that Mazda cars are good but they consume a lot of fuel I wanted to know if this is true because I don't have any friends who has Mazda when I ask they say it consumes fuel. Got Mazda cx30 carbon turbo Thursday may 9 brand new lease for total 469$ month including car protection package it feels alot more expensive than amount it cost

I hope you get yours someday soon. I am awaiting my 2024 Cx-30 GT (Canadian Trim name) in machine grey metalic with the garnet red leather seats. If all goes well it will arrive before the end of December. An awesome Xmas present for myself…. So excited!
I hate they dont offer those beautiful Terracotta seats with the dark exterior trims. Only reason im not buying this car even tho it was on my list. I just dont like that exterior sand color.
LOL, I am not a fan of those tires either. I put some Blizzak winter tires on my non turbo cx-30. They are really grippy, but I think next time around I will go with Michelin x-ice for a better ride and longevity.

I appreciate the comment thank you very much! Yes, it’s a ton of car for the money 👍🏼
I wish the Carbon Turbo had Polymetal Grey and red interior as an option like the regular Carbon trim.
Love my CX-30 Turbo premium. Still breaking in the engine so taking it easy, but had to hit it on the highway today - 75 to 100 in a snap - awesome!

Great review! Merry Xmas🎄
Love the color, my question is, will this get stolen a lot more than the CRVS? I live in Canada and the crv theft is crazy!!

Not having paddle shifters on 1 of the 3 Turbos is the one thing that's a head scratcher.

There's a base non-turbo model with no moonroof if that's what you're looking for.

Good thing I live in the tropics 😂
We want a upgraded cx30 without that horrible looking plastic rim around.
Just paint it!
