I really find the repeat sentence portion very challenging. It seems more like a memory game than a speaking test. I tried visualizing but I tend to miss on one or two articles or prepositions.

thanks a lot for this practice. yet I also find this section more difficult than others. humans are capable of memorising 7 to 9 different elements at a time, and my memory isn't necessarily good. there are some sentences that have 10 to 15 words in this section.

Almost same. Rythm is exactly same but some of listening clips includes harder words and complex articulation.

No. As the question prompt suggests just repeat the sentence.
Can we write at the paper while listening?
You can but as you will have to respond in 3 seconds, it will be of no use. If you don't respond withing 3 seconds, the recording will stop.
