Great video’s mate. I’ve just started reselling and finding your videos so helpful. I’m from bridgnorth so quite local to you and was wondering which accountants you use as I’m in desperate need of one?
@@JonSheppardsells I live in a very tiny and too rich country. Not much people buy here 2nd cloths. And in 2nd hand stores the item are almost the same price as new. Or cheaper but then clothes who no one buys. I see hauls from america of person who buy vintage clothes for a 1.20 dollar. In a 2nd and store here you rarly find cool vintage stuff and if you find it’s almost the same price you can sell it for. And if you find a little cheaper stuff it’s not vintage and ugly clothes and no one buys it.
My comment keeps disappearing, really confusing. Do you recommend a accountant in the area mate? I’m really new to this so don’t want to fall foul of hmrc when it comes to me declaring my income.
Technically yes but not making enough to count as a professional seller on vinted. There's many loop holes on there. If I was making 20k a year on there then it would be different but split my profits by 12 months its only £250 a month. Plus like I said there are thousands of sellers on there.
@@JonSheppardsellsit’s nothing to do with totals. It’s the buying to sell which makes you professional. Might be worth a little read before you publicly announce your Vinted sales
95 percent of vinted now seems to be resellers. How many of you actually declare this correctly? Seems to be more and more people on social security of pretending to be disabled getting government money for support then do this on the side.
Thanks mate. Great advice. Used eBay for 20 years but glad jumped over to Vinted. eBay gone downhill and have got greedy.
Yes ebay are greedy but I do sell alot more on there due being worldwide but vinted is great as no fees
So many resellers on vinted you not the only one. Many are open about it too and many open about it as a sourcing option to. Only sell own stuff atm
It's a weird subject as if you buy it, it's officially yours. I think vinted are not that bothered as long as you don't go crazy.

You don't need to use an accountant. There is plenty of advice on HMRC website
@@lindasheppard4752thank you. Can you ask Jon to check the website aswell please so he can do his first ever tax return and stop evading tax.
Just use a pen and paper at the end of each month.
James she is my mom she does my tax for me
Where I live you cant make money with 2nd hand clothes
It doesn't matter where you live as it's sold online all over the country. What you might think is trash, somebody else doesn't.

Technically you shouldn't be on vinted if your a reseller. Lucky they havent banned your account
They would have nobody on there then. Thousands of sellers on there.
@@JonSheppardsellshe is technically correct, the terms state you can’t be a “professional seller”.
