Surf confidence was intimidating twork & twork had a lot of nervous energy and movements. I wasn't surprised twork choke during the actual battle because Surf's skill level made him uncomfortable. Surf is EVERYTHING he says he is. He shows levels. Even without the Chokes and stumbles, twork is still losing to a serious surf 10 out of 10 times they battle smh.

In hindsight I think it was never really about them, Surf was in a bad space and subconsciously took everything out on Unkle Ra. When he calmed down and got over things they squashed it immediately and the end result was beautiful.

Surf is holding HIMSELF accountable for his previous battles. Taking FULL responsibility and accepting that he was playing around. He sits down, decides to live up to his potential, and came out with three incredible battles over top opponents and hasn't even come CLOSE to losing a single round! THIS is how you level up!
And I'm glad Surf went this route. He's actually living up to his potential and HE'S seeing the difference in respect not only the fans, but also his peers, have for him in doing so. And it's also to see he move past the bed with Uncle Rah and establish a relationship with him. That's the epitome of "grown man shit".
Surf was always nice. But, to see him go to THIS level is amazing and I wish this brotha much success moving forward.
Twork needs to understand that he's literally blowing his shot. He's another who has the star power, but not the discipline to focus.
