      Congrats! This is a very convenient little engraver! The tiny footprint and fully enclosed design is an amazing advantage!

    Hi, I’m considering the k10, does it work on cylindrical objects ? How do you align and preview the design position since this doesn’t have a build in camera? Thank you

    • @gerGoPrint3D
      @gerGoPrint3D  3 месяца назад

      Yes, it will have a rotary accessory option, coming soon after the release of the machine. Without that accessory we can engrave flat surfaces. At 9:00 I show how the software helps in alignment, and also my improved method to align circular objects. There will also be an engraving positioning module. On the website I show at 3:26 you can download the User Manual. All these accessories and features are described in detail there.

    Hi, can Cutlab be used on other brand laser engraviers? I’d imagine let’s say Prusa Slicer can be used with many different brands of 3D printers. thank you

      Yes, Cutlab more or less works OK with my Mecpow X5 too (also ESP32/GRBL based engraver). There are some initial warning messages shown while homing, but otherwise it detects the work area and works correctly. Still, I guess we cannot escape buying a full Lightburn license.

    I purchased one of these, mainly to do hat patches on leather. It’s a pain in the butt to line it up each time I do one. Is there a quick way to do this? Can I move the laser to a different start point?

      I would suggest fixing some kind of a frame or enclosure for the patches to the engraver. This way you would just need to drop the next patch in this designated compartment and it would be aligned with the laser. Ideally you could 3d-print such an enclosure, but I can imagine something made out of lego bricks could also function well. Good tip! I might do a video on this in the future!

      @@gerGoPrint3D thanks!! I love your use of legos by the way. Actually built a Lego stand to raise it up after watching your video.

      @@douglaschalfant976 so just add a lego "pool" with the size of the patch! You'll only need to aim the laser home point once, then just replace the patches. I think CutLab X is very capable app, I recommend it over LaserGRBL. It's almost as capable as LightBurn.

    I got this machine and cannot get it to work at all with a Mac or iPhone

    • @gerGoPrint3D
      @gerGoPrint3D  Месяц назад

      Yes, unfortunately Macs are more limited (and harder to use) when it comes to control software. Lightburn should still work with the K10, it's paid, but with a very generous trial period. I've put the link in the description where you can get Lightburn license at a good discount. I show you how it works in my latest video → ruclips.net/video/n12MEwsOrZs/видео.html Tip: make sure to close the lid of the K10 before trying to connect. The sofware won't connect with its lid open!!!

      Haha! I had to be careful to pronounce PETG as P-E-T-G and not as "PET-G" to avoid any confusion 😜

      Getting them to sit still for the procedure sounds tricky.
