Yeah that one definitely caused my ears to perk up! I figure that's the one they expect most consumers to gravitate towards as a daily trainer. Hopefully we're able to get that one in for review!
@@ConversationalPace That was my first adidas road shoe (incredibly) but I love their Speed Ultra (favourite trail shoe and another Tom Evans inspired shoe) and the Speed Pro SG (fell runners in the UK love that shoe though I use it for XC).
Yeah especially still having a good amount of litestrike pro and no plates underneath. The foam plus a beefier outsole should be just the right amount of stiffness
Nice you discussed the three models, the speed ultra and the speed come with a removable insole? Cause if the shoe is pretty comfortable I wanna see whether removing the insole is worth it, like in the Nnormal Kjerag. But it can only work if the collar is not too high, like it was in the former Terrex Speed ultra with the boost midsole.
The insole in my Speed Ultra does come out, but I'm totally swimming in the shoe without the insole in there. The ankle collar is borderline too high, but the speed ultra ankle collar is really thin and kind of sharp. The other models might fare better with the insole taken out.
The 2-year old Terrex Speed Ultra with the shallow 2.5mm lugs has been my goto shoe for door-to-trail and non-technical trails. I hope the new Terrex Speed builds on it somehow. Not sure if that new Terrex Speed will have rods (like the old Speed Ultra did). I hope they kept the weight down (sub 260 grams for a size 9)…
I am curious if there will still be a speed ultra to differ from the agravic speed ultra. Because all these shoes got quite a bit more stack than the current speed ultra
The old Speed Ultra 240 had a midfoot plastic 'torsion system' rather than rods didn't it? I also enjoy it but have gravitated away, wanting a bit more structure and forefoot cushion (the Boost used in the rear was wonderful though!). Also wondering how that will compare with the new Speed. A comparison vid of the Speed Ultra vs Ultrafly would be neat.... David Roche just had a 50mi race win in the Ultrafly
So excited for all the trail shoes being showcased at TRE, wish I could try them all lol 😏 how do you think continental rubber compares to vibram? Not saying vibram is overrated by any means but I definitely think some other company’s outsoles are very comparable now in today’s market and don’t get looked at in as high regard
The only problem I ever had with continental rubber is that it was heavy. They seem to be addressing that issue in this next lineup of shoes though. But I agree, vibram is great, but I don't think it's hands down better than everybody else
I find inov8's graphene grip to be equal with megagrip. outsole pattern for both will make or break how well they stick to rocks. Then la Sportiva and VJ are a step ahead and stick like glue. everything else I've tried (Saucony, brooks, nike etc.) has been pants
The Agravic speed was 4 I believe, and the agravic was either the same or even a bit bigger. The Agravic speed ultra had the shortest lugs of the three shoes
I'm excited for the speed! I'm really liking the Boston 12 right now!
I've got high hopes for that one!
Just subbed. Waiting for the Terrex speed ultra to drop!
Much appreciated! I think this Speed Ultra is going to be one of the hottest drops of the year 🔥🔥
Cannot wait 😊
That Boston derived looks interesting!
Yeah definitely very intrigued by that one as well!
The Speed. Loving the Boston 12.

Great info, thanks. Not too interested in the super shoes, but one built on a Boston, hmm now we're talking

@@ConversationalPace thx a million for your answer ❤
I think the speed looks the one for me!:-) although the speed ultra looks super cool!:-)
Sounds like you might have to try both! 😅

We'll definitely compare the two for sure!
Can you tell us the stack height of the Agravic Speed?
I don't have the exact stack height numbers, but I do recall them saying it was a bit lower than the Speed Ultra, which is 30/38 Forefoot/Heel
The Agravic Speed looks like a possible replacement to my beloved TERREX Speed Ultra trail shoe. Hmm...
Fingers crossed!!
