@@akajjdnsnd2118 you're better off committing to Yoshi. Try to use the playback and figure out what you need to improve on. You will hit a wall with every character.
3:12 I use this all the time to put my sword away. It works great, many players have trouble punishing it on block. Juggling your sword as Yoshi is invaluable, you want to be putting it away and using unsheath moves as much as you safely can. They're incredibly powerful.
It's great you mention tip range, some things change with it. I like how his flea slide can lead to a full launch at tip range as long as you use the while rising 4 to catch them after
17:30 I saw kane do those setups too and it was def a lightbulb moment. I've been completely undervaluing going for chip damage. It's legitimate damage, especially if they don't recover! Very nice vid!
@@lmkjin satisfying yes I agree but highly unfair is the issue I have, king gets more damage and better oki plus armor on b3. I would like more for his to be fixed where they have to actually time it now mash 1+2 and get free value
@DGetsStacks it is not the part I'm talking about again it's the fact the extra damage he get from the "just frame" is not a just frame my issue is the fact yoy can just mash and get it ducking it's easy or just use yoshi b1 then duck to punish
When an opponent blocks my back two two, I instantly stop using it because I know that it is too risky. That sword going above their head while they are crouching is soooo nightmarish to see!
Only go for cd1 after df4 only when the df4 hits, if the opponent presses they get launched, if they try and punish with launch they cant because the distant it leaves so u launch punish there launch punish :)
cd1 vs df1+4 do not differ in frames actually. cd1 doesn't take into account the f,n,d. the + side with df1+4 is that you can immediately do it from crouch. excellent content brother!
it may not differ depending on execution, and if used as if it were a cd1 some setups won't work because of how slow the start up is. it's the same with cd2 and d/f2+3 but that's my observation and testing of the two similar moves
@@delusional-lobo you are totally right, for the crouch mix sword sweep, definitely go for the df1+4, because you are crouching, that will be faster in that scenario. when you are standing, the f,n,d,df+1 will be faster than going into crouch to input df1+4. very interested in more of your findings, keep up the good work!
b1,1's are a setup to go into sword sweep or windmill for oki, the one I've shown is for chip damage or in the lucky outcome that they don't block or attempt to attack to re-wallsplat
Ofc, u can get a Feeling when to use the move, i recommend to learn the CD Motion many Chars in this Game use It aswell and Its one of yoshis best two moves!
@delusional-lobo When you're telling time on a clock, it goes around in a circle. When you count, you go one by one, in order. The button notation on the controller is such that 3 is on the opposite side of 2 instead of being the next in line, which would logically correspond with the order the buttons are laid out in. I'm saying it would make more sense of 3 was swapped with 4 so it would actually go in order. Maybe it's just me.
Bro i've hit Raijin and i learned that if i continue the grind i'll be a certified alcoholic with so much work we have to do as Yoshis
I’m starting to want to change my character
Couldn't agree more. I enjoy using Yoshi but the grind is intense.
Been looking to change characters they just not fun or feel as smooth. Asuka, raven devil jin. Or try king and be cheap lol
@@asjeje nah fr it’s like them characters beat me when I know I’m better than them

I've started playing for chip as well and it has paid off a lot.
I just wish yoshi could mash his just frame ff2 like king can with b3 and f4
I think that what a just Frame is supposed to be. Why make it easier ? It is so satisfying like that
@@lmkjin satisfying yes I agree but highly unfair is the issue I have, king gets more damage and better oki plus armor on b3. I would like more for his to be fixed where they have to actually time it now mash 1+2 and get free value

Been grinding with yoshi, ur vids have answered aton of my questions on him. Thanks so much! Amazing channel!
Thanks a lot! Learned a whole bunch from this one.
Great to hear!👍🏼
Thanks for the tips just hit battle ruler with him will try to hit rajin now!

Just go ham bro, press that 1, you have to believe you WON'T get launched.
i still hate the fact that they made Yoshi's sword blockable... they really should replace the Flea Stance moves with better Looking ones
Cd2 also crushes highs so you can do it after df1 or 1 and it'll usually go under highs.
Thanks for the advice on improving
Great stuff as always king thanks for advices ❤️🔥
Any time!👍🏼😄

Finally hit purple you helped alot
Hoping I get there soon

Also wish he can get a move in or after the fast spin

sure, whatever you feel is more comfortable, though I will say for high crush its a bit slower to CD2 so be careful when using it up close
I'm dumb - I never knew how to do cd1 and cd2. I've hit Raijin without knowing either of these :d

Make use of Yoshis movement! It will be a game changer for you :)
