Blood on the Clocktower is a bluffing game enjoyed by 5 to 20 players on opposing teams of Good and Evil, overseen by a Storyteller player who conducts the action and makes crucial decisions.
absolutely love the amne abilities that you tend to use, as they really showcase just how much potential the role has to truly transform the whole experience of the game!
Listening to the false accusation of being the Mutant. My brain (to the tune of Meredith Brooks' 1997 hit...):
"I'm a Snitch, I'm a Barber
I'm a Damsel undercover,
I'm a Golem and a Goon,
A child who's of the moon,
I'm a Barber, I'm a Klutz,
I'm a Lunatic gone nuts,
And the 'teller will not kill me anyway!"
This is Golden
I absolutely love this
Best Amne ability I have seen ever. Pure confusion and comedy
I think Patters games have become my favorite games!
100/10 game. Absolutely nailed the Amne abliity. I love the idea of a public evil Amne ability since they have to risk seeing ST and being found out (especially if it were a Lil Monsta game and they could possibly be babysitting the Demon).
No one does an amne like patters ❤😂
Day 1 REALLY strong Savant info.
Intentionally so, because they were going to be in a strange twin thing.
Amnesiac + Al-Hadikhia ability : "Players not chosen by the demon might die instead of players that are chosen."
So if one chooses to die, it might not be them but instead will be a different or arbitrary player who does. If all three choose to live, they might cause three other players to die instead.
Missed opportunity to tell the Fisherman / Red Herring that had just gotten picked by the Fortune Teller, "Someone saw you catching a bright red fish."
Oh, this is great -- I'd been thinking up a homebrew minion for a while now, which lets the storyteller do almost exactly this via a minion.
The Lyre "The storyteller may falsely communicate to players about abilities being used."
Great to see the ability in practice works as I hoped it would.
This might be one of my favourite games I have watched so far.
I love that this game had so much inherent chaos that Ponko had to tamp down on his personal chaos.
Easily one of the best Clocktower games I've ever seen! The first 10 minutes alone is a Bible's worth of events.
Savant showing itself as an OP role for the Storyteller's team. Evil is absolutely smashing it, but you can still keep good in the game with strong info.
Yeah, it can be very powerful if the Storyteller is creative with it.
agreed - and the savants info there was absolutely game solving... especially with the bountyhunter and librarian info combined, town had enough to nail the evil team twice over
I feel I said the same thing on a previous Patters video, but this is a top 10 BOTC game
I feel so bad for Tom... They lost the game for the good team, BUT I would have done the same thing
Thank you
Thank you
Some time ago I suggested this ability for a minion to TPI (The "Sandman"), it's very script-dependent but it'd be amazing if it were to exist officially 😌
Thank you for the great game !
After this game, I have a feeling that the townsfolk should hold a party for the demon and execute the storyteller.
This is officially my favorite amne ability ever 😂
Very fun game!
I think lil monsta should have been a valid Amni choice. They do wake, and they do make a choice, and the idea of telling a good person they are babysitting would be a hoot
Maybe. I don't think Lil' Monsta itself wakes up so much as the Minions wake up to decide Lil' Monsta.
Lil'Monsta does not wake. It is the Minions who wake. At least, that's what I'll believe until we get a proper Lil' Monsta write-up 😂😂
@@ProdigalGeek eh. Semantics. It’d have been funny.
@@ProdigalGeek no one knows enough about how Lil' Monsta functions to do a proper write-up
@@patterswell, the one way to interpret it is that because the Amne ability says it affects a good player, and a good player can be woken up and told "you're holding Lil' Monsta", choosing Lil' Monsta would cause just that to happen.
Clearly Arwell assumed that's how it would go in that final three.
although, given how obtuse the character can be, I completely understand why you did it the way you did.
Love this so much! What would have happened if the amnesiac had chosen Imp or Fang Gu?
Probably nothing.
@@patters I suppose for fang gu you could have told a good player that they were the evil fang gu to indicate a fang gu jumping to a drunk.
@@QuibbleTroublecould've, but it also breaks a cardinal rule of BOTC that you always know your character and alignment unless your character explicitly says otherwise, like Drunk or Ogre.
After all, this would effectively be madness... yet without the player knowing they were made "mad".
@@sourwitch2340 I believe an amnesiac ability could cause a player to "think" they are something else in the same way that drunk, lunatic, and marionette do. Also the actual rule is just that players learn when their alignment changes, so it wouldn't directly break that, it's just generally accepted that players should generally know their alignment.
In theory an amnesiac ability could create extra lunatics or drunks though, especially an evil amnesiac, since it can be anything. In this case it would effectively be replacing the ability of a good player with the lunatic's ability.
Found it fascinating that Patters gave Debbie advice to star pass. Is this common for a ST?
Sometimes. You're always allowed to ask the Storyteller for help, and I like sometimes giving people help if I think it'll mean the game gets to final 3.
In my opinion, the main role of the ST is to ensure the game gets to final day.
Debbie had so much sus and would've been executed if not for Tom's heroic save to break madness. It didn't make sense to squander that opportunity to star pass, yet Debbie had valid reasons for not wanting to. I think the advice was warranted, and definitely led to the game going on till final day.
can someone explain that amne ability? it appears to trigger on a good player? dont they normally?
The last comment by Debbie right before the video ends, is amazing.
For some reason this game got me thinking...could you - and keep in mind I have no idea WHY you would want to do this - but COULD you technically, within the rules of the game, register a random recluse as an evil twin and tell a good player they are as such on the first night of the game, for no reason other than feeling like it?
Nope! Whilst the Recluse can register as an evil character, it does not gain its ability so there'd be no way for another player to be informed of that.
@@patters Ah, of course! Thanks!
this was such a fun game to catch live
Almost halfway through, why is gambling pushing so hard on this evil twin thing on chris, i can understand the early game fumble slightly. (Though he was never given a twin name i’m not sure why you’d try to claim a twin like that) but continuing to push it just seems like he’s asking for the shade to be on him
Just trying to confuse town I think, any heat that's on him, isn't on the Demon.
Patters basically has it. My logic is a) as an evil TF I'm a pseudo minion, so my job is to draw Sus away from the demon, and b) if I'm one of the players who was affected by the 'amne nonsense' then I'm unlikely to *be* the amnesiac, so town has an extra evil to look for.
I'll also note that the early game twin claim was not a fumble, it was absolutely intentional. Faking twins is something good players can do, as a way to confuse the evil team and discourage them from killing you. As proven by this game, even when the evil team *knows* that the twin pair is fake, both they and the good team tends to leave the twin pair alone.
Patters gives extremely strong savant info. Is there a deeper reason behind that?
In this game specifically, it was stronger than most because they were already going to be distrusted because of the fake ET stuff.
I thought there was a new ep a couple of days ago but guess not. Shame! Well we get some Patters plan in the latest official vid
Did the lag spike at 1:36:10 break your audio? Seemed like you took a very long time to say something. Just to come back with "ay in 10 seconds"
Yeah, it seems to be an issue when I drop audio. I might start recording the games locally and uploading them from there to avoid these issues. Sorry!
I have not watched this and I am playing bmr. But this seems like a pretty cool video. I will probably forget to actually watch it.
Did you watch the video
Yeah, did you?
@@patters The first hour yes, then I had to do irl stuff. Now finishing it.
Did you finish it?
@@Annielusion_ indeed i did
good grief, how did they buy arwells nonsense on the final day? if the evil amnesiac were still alive, then for him to be good, the other two players need to be the demon and the amnesiac... which is impossible, because one of them is the only person claiming bountyhunter
so if the evil amnesiac still were to live... arwell HAS to be the demon
and arwell even had the bountyhunter ping on himself
absolutely hilarious game and glorious amnesiac ability though XD
Al-Had picks are public knowledge, no?
They are! There's a tool in the app that lets you send Al Hadiqia pings to everyone. Patters used that and then just woke them individually. That's why town knew who had been picked at night. But yeah, it's not something we see that much of in the VOD.
love me evil amne
I want to make BH game where BH is evil by themself and sees demon
One of the NRB in person games did this recently.
You probably won't see this comment, but do you remember the name of this script? It's really good.
I think I made it especially for this game, I don't think I ever named it or uploaded it anywhere 😅
@@patters just for the evil amnesiac ability?
@@SceneTurkey Yeah. Sometimes I create scripts if I want to do a particular scenario or setup. In this case, I wanted the evil Amnesiac to interact with lots of evil characters that have public effects :)
