So many subtle yet key plays in this video like that escape in the midlane vs Rakan and Seraphine, the Qiyana ult dodge escape, that Baron fight alpha + sidestep of Seraphine’s abilities… So good. Really shows what a Challenger Rank 1 Master Yi can do.
Nah u can get over that stuff easily just play for 6 and your probably the strongest jungler in the game at that point. Its more like team fighting and hard CC thats the issue sometimes when your team doesnt follow up, but you just need to play slower as soon as u realize this. Basically only play for a 100% guaranteed things. Your a hyper carry so you can afford to do this.

The hardest thing with Yi is learning when to fight. 8/10 players know how to deal with the average Yi because we press R and want to 1v5 every fight. A good Yi like sinerias always picks the best fight for him, not for his team.
I think yes. Esp when you have 2 smites and take longer than 12 sec clearing drake you should use smite since you will have another one anyways and want to have it on couldown for efficiency
No jungler can clear the first drakes in under 15 seconds without help from the team. Since he has 2 smites, it’s better to just smite early for efficiency’s sake, since his bot and mid are still laning
I miss season 7/8 yi with bloodrazor/rageblade combo. Back then there was a valid point to taking him over other junglers since he was the only jungler who could solo baron at 20 consistently, so many games were won because of sneaking baron with Yi. Even if Kayn was the only champ he could 1v1 comfortably pre-6, these days there's no real reason to pick him since he's only damage and doesn't even bring niche stuff like sneaking the baron/melting objectives since almost all junglers can do that now...
@@zlg1388 I was talking back in season 7/8 Yi was the only one who could do it at 20 minutes without having to be giga fed. These days I don't know if it's possible to solo it (maybe for Yi, but definitely not at 20)

That's my point, if Yi got to the objective first it was hard for him to lose it, now he's just another DPS jungler and the rest of the DPS junglers usually have something to help outside of that (cc, Khartus ult, high tempo, etc.)
Why u not lvl up W? Isn't it better for endurance during fights than maxing Q, which gives you mainly faster jgl clear? Also I know it depends on the style of play, but isn't HoB better than Lethal Tempo?
Always go gromp before blue, because gromp is going to respawn quicker than blue, this is gonna let you farm your next clear after the first more efficiently. 9 times of of 10 i would do this on every jungler

May i ask how you were so confident in starting the dragon at 6:09, even starting with a smite? Did you know Qiyana was top side?
