Haha that was an amazing intro lol. Awesome shots, including the summit pulling the stampede. Another amazing video, thumbs up and keep up the amazing work!
Thanks man. Yes this combo works out well. I have several Mamba monsters and this truck doesn't need that torque... and they aren't waterproof anyway. This is a good mix of power and weatherproof. perfect. :)
song said it best that was "over the top". that was pretty awesome. loved the intro. summit took really well to the vtwins. another sweet vid from the master! lol
@jetlag2222 that was a cool intro. the coolest clip in that whole thing was when the camera was mounted on the stampede 4x4 and the summit was puling it out
DUDE! Awesome Video. I just got a Summit in November and I have been watching all of your videos on what you have done with yours. I am definitely checking out the site as to how to mount the dual 3500's looks like just enough power without over kill, unlike the twin 970 revolvers you tried lol. Thanks for taking the time to post these video's. They sure are a joy to watch! Great job on the editing! Oh Yeah I am with "r2koooolmi" LOVE THE INTRO!!!!!!!
Incredible Video. That summit rocks ! :D Those tyres are pretty fun to watch in slow-motion. It is pretty cool V twin but may be a little overpowered. Yet it looks to be great fun. I wish we had snow around here so I can rip some up.
Thanks man. That sounds like a fine mod and I bet it works great. I only did the VTwin to see how well it would work, not because the Summit actually needs all that power. lol.
@jetlag2222 i completely agree with you, I run velineon in the winter with my E-Revo. it is a little sluggish but it is better than buying a new MMM. plus they are close enough it is not that big of a deal. I completely like what you are doing and was merely answering a question. keep up the great videos
Thanks man. Yes you can rip the stock tires off pretty easy if you don't manage the throttle. I also have some pro-line mashers ordered and they will handle the power just fine. So I will save the canyon (original tires) for crawling in 1st gear, and the use the mashers for faster running.
All moving parts are subject to wear and rust when you run in the water as much as I do with the summit. I check them regularly and have changed them twice, but may upgrade to ceramic at some point too. :)
Top vid fella, love what you're doin! I've converted my Summit to brushless too, but I've gone with a VXL ESC and a Neu 2200kv motor. It only runs 3s of course, but I'm finding that just about fast enough.
Thanks man. on the motors... one spins forward and the other one spins in reverse... just like the brushed Erevo. Mempey is making a "how to" vid on building this exact setup. Look for it soon. :)
awesome all around video! adding it to my favorites! i never get any snow in san diego .....i suppose i could make the hour drive up to palomar mountain.
I'm replacing them with Pro-line 40 series Mashers this week. But left the old ones on for the video so everyone could see how they distort under full power with the twin VXLs. :)
I like both of them. The twin 700s work great too. The plus with the VXLs is that they are virtually maint free and will run for a LONG LONG time. Plus with the 700's I was using the stock EVX2 ESC. This means that I could only run 4S lipo. With the VXL ESCs I can run (2) X 3S lipo, so the power is greater.
you guessed wrong. :) What gear do you think I was in when I pulled the pede out of the snow? I'll give you one hint... it wasn't high. lol. The upgrade doesn't change the transmission at all. It's still a 2 speed monster.
sweet man i love this truck i wish i had one im more of a nitro guy but its just at those snowy day times u juat want an elec. haha btw SWEET INTRO!!!!
Hey all you guys that wanted more information about how I installed the twin velineon power systems in the SUMMIT - You need to surf over to Mempey's channel. He put together a video on this exact upgrade - he even lists part numbers and prices and gives you a step by step of how to do it. Go check it out! :)
lol. thanks. The mamba monster is actually a bit more powerful ( I have 2 of them myself) but they aren't waterproof, so you won't see many running in the deep snow like that. At least not for very long. :)
It's truly a bit less power than the Mamba Monster on 6S lipo, but still huge amounts of power for an emaxx or Summit - and it's completely waterproof. I am currently running my EMAXX on (1) 3500 VXL... Go watch the vid if you haven't already and take a look at how it performs. :)
another great video jetlag. . .but my question is when you put 2 brushless motors on the summit how do you have to arrange the motors so that they spin the right way
lol. thanks for the tech specs. Yes.. the mamba on 6S is still the king for 1/10th. no doubt. I own 2. I did this mod first because I just wanted to try it, and 2nd because it is completely waterproof. And 3rd because I don't need or want the power of a mamba monster on my Summit. :) Also you forgot to mention that if you actually run a single 3500 VXL in an emaxx at 55 mph with 28/65 gearing you will soon have a nice fire. rofl. Nice work though...
I love my summit wouldn't trade it for any other truck. How are your diff's holding up or did you already do the shim mod.Keep a very close eye on the inner and outer pinion bearings for the diff'sWith brushless power they are prone to blowing up and causing havoc breaking other stuff as well.lots of people have gone to ceramic bearings in key locations that being one of them
@SuperTechnoKiller Yes, it should say that on the box. Shouldn't really take it swimming though, and you'll need to give it some after run care aswell. Oil moving parts etc.
awsome vid but my opinion is that a little two much power for the summit when i thing of summt i thing of a medeium speed monster truck that has great crawling abilities i could see one velinion system but v twin seems like a little to much how do the tires not blow out
That was the sickest intro I have ever seen to an RC video!
Thanks dude! That's why I make these videos... so everyone can see how much fun RC can be. :) Thanks for the comment!
awsome video once again you make the best videos i swear love the snow blowing off the summit as its tearing it up keep it up
Much respect to your crazy RC mods and videography.
Haha that was an amazing intro lol. Awesome shots, including the summit pulling the stampede. Another amazing video, thumbs up and keep up the amazing work!

This is why I subscribed to you! You make the BEST r/c vids on RUclips!
This is the best winter vid of 2010 NO DOUBT ! thumbs up !
Sweeeet..those tyres were wobbling & expanding like crazy..nice 1
song said it best that was "over the top". that was pretty awesome. loved the intro. summit took really well to the vtwins. another sweet vid from the master! lol
I loved the tires wobbling. time to get the erevo out in the snow. One great video after another keep it up my good sir.
Superb Vid Jetlag2222 !! It look like it run very good !! You did a very good job !!
Thanks buddy! appreciate the comps. glad the videos helped.
@jetlag2222 that was a cool intro. the coolest clip in that whole thing was when the camera was mounted on the stampede 4x4 and the summit was puling it out

Thanks buddy. Just trying to keep you guys entertained. :)
Thanks buddy! I spent some time on this one, Both building the VTwin and in filming/editing. So I'm glad it came out good. :)
awesome all around video! adding it to my favorites!
I tried the tires mounted both ways several times to see what gave me the best traction, so it's quite possible that you spotted them on backwards. :)
Thanks man. I know what you mean. I lived in Glendale just outside LA for a couple years. I missed the snow at Christmas time. :)
Thanks man. I rarely use full power on the summit. Only did it briefly for the video to show everyone how they distort under that much power. :))
i about crapped my self when i saw this on my subs.... awesome vid!!!
Thanks buddy! appreciate the comps!
Thanks man. That sounds like a fine mod and I bet it works great. I only did the VTwin to see how well it would work, not because the Summit actually needs all that power. lol.
Thanks man. thought I would try a goofy rip off of a nature film. I liked how it came out so added it into the final edit. :)
@jetlag2222 i completely agree with you, I run velineon in the winter with my E-Revo. it is a little sluggish but it is better than buying a new MMM. plus they are close enough it is not that big of a deal. I completely like what you are doing and was merely answering a question.

Best video in history
None of Traxxas's trucks break parts easily. That's one reason I love their products.
Thank you!
sweet man i love this truck i wish i had one im more of a nitro guy but its just at those snowy day times u juat want an elec. haha btw SWEET INTRO!!!!
rofl! don't do that!!! Thanks for the laugh, and the comps. :)
lol. sure were. I don't usually put full power to them because they will blow out, but it was fun for a second to get it on film.
hey you are the best guy i now who makes awsome vids on youtube keep it up
This video was awesome man, good job sick truck. I really want a summit or a e-maxx... Being 14 sucks. I can't get a real job yet..
thanks man. yeah my favorite part of the video was the whole "rescue" scene. I shot it about 10 different times to get it just like I wanted it. :)
Thanks!
It's a great truck!
Thanks buddy!

Great Video! Would like to see you install a plow on it and would like to see how you snow proof it.
Summit + Snow= FUN FUN FUN
vor high speed the tires are maby a little bit to soft lol.
another gret vid.
Mempey is doing a VTwin upgrade video. Look for it soon. (he did this same upgrade to his summit before I did) :)
Thanks pal!
Thanks dude!
ROFL! thanks for the laugh buddy!
thanks!
Thanks dude
lol. I don't do full power much, just did it for a few seconds for the camera. And I glue the **** out of my tires. :)
lol. thanks. The mamba monster is actually a bit more powerful ( I have 2 of them myself) but they aren't waterproof, so you won't see many running in the deep snow like that. At least not for very long. :)
another crazy vid!!!! snow bashing is the best, i just ripped my front bulk head on my emaxx :( did not see a curb sticking out.....
Thanks you, kind sir! :))
thanks
Awasome video the summit is 1 of my favorite traxxas trucks next to the slash erevo nd emaxx but i recomend that u get the mini summit vxl
Thanks man. Sometimes I like to stretch myself. lol.
lol. That's like asking if water is wet.... I rarely use anything else anymore.
Great vid
lol. Yeah that was my favorite scene of the movie.
lol. thanks man. yeah, curbs are truck killers. been there myself. :)
Thx dude!
Thanks buddy for saying that. :)
haha awesome!!! i got a lot of upgrades for my revo this christmas!
Unreal, as usual
another great video jetlag. . .but my question is when you put 2 brushless motors on the summit how do you have to arrange the motors so that they spin the right way
thx!
Nice! You should get a pro-line paddle and it'll drive a lot better on the snow..
think of how fun it would be to put paddletires on that summit =) with the double brushless engines, it could sure rip some snow
lol. thanks for the tech specs. Yes.. the mamba on 6S is still the king for 1/10th. no doubt. I own 2. I did this mod first because I just wanted to try it, and 2nd because it is completely waterproof. lol. Thanks man!
@jetlag2222 Don't forget to get some awesome slow-motion shots of it shoveling snow all over the place :D
your awesome i was wondering how u have 2 velineons but only one transmiter u should make a behind the scences video. custom wiring question mark
Fantastic Intro ;)
u should do a behind the scences of the snow summit video
thx m8
Might have to try that... :)
Great vid. But am I imagining, or were the tires mounted backwards (treads reversed?)
I love my summit wouldn't trade it for any other truck. How are your diff's holding up or did you already do the shim mod.Keep a very close eye on the inner and outer pinion bearings for the diff'sWith brushless power they are prone to blowing up and causing havoc breaking other stuff as well.lots of people have gone to ceramic bearings in key locations that being one of them
SWEET!!!
@SuperTechnoKiller Yes, it should say that on the box. Shouldn't really take it swimming though, and you'll need to give it some after run care aswell. Oil moving parts etc.
dude thats an awesom vid. but how do u get the twin vxls in ther?
what do you like more the twin 700 ho system from kershaw or the twin velineon 3500's?
awsome vid but my opinion is that a little two much power for the summit when i thing of summt i thing of a medeium speed monster truck that has great crawling abilities i could see one velinion system but v twin seems like a little to much how do the tires not blow out
I got a question i just got the 1/16 summit yesterday and your an Traxxas expert. So heres my question is the Traxxas Summit 1/16 waterproof.
Thanks.
@jetlag2222 thanx a ton man, i will be waiting for the vid cuz i wanna do that for my erevo anywayz cuz i want brushless power but stil lwater proof,

How do you do to put twin Velineon in the Summit? 2 Vxl-3s? What Esc?

This make me wanna get a Summit....
Mempey is making an upgrade video on this... he did this upgrade before I did. watch for it soon. :)
