Could you please do a really quick video like this on Curley as I think he will come up - so could you please make a video on him doesn't have to be as long as this but as long as it covers a few points it would really help me out!!! Thanks
When thinking about the theme of friendship, could you say that crook's companionship and friendship is with books because it free's him from all the racism and despair in society. Or does that not make sense?
Hello Sir, I just wanted ask if my point developing from your ideas was right? You said Crooks' body was crooked to the left, and i thought this was expressed like it was because society was right sided, meaning capitalist and selfish (every man for them selves). Maybe Crooks' body leaned towards the left isn't a bad thing necessarily, but shows Steinbeck's intention of society maybe being more left sided, and this may be the cure for victims of capitalism and isolation such as Crooks.
+tej1803 Did I say that? My sound is not working on my computer at the minute, so I can't check! Steinbeck never really mentions the rights of workers - it is difficult to see how this would fit the theme of the novel. If the novel attacked the role of the boss, then your point would be valid, but I don't think it does.
Please Mr bruff has no Curley video and won't make one and I strongly believe it will come up tomorrow and just a 5 minute video talking about Curley could really help us so please could you be very generous and make a video!!
Could you argue that the broken items in crooks' room are a symbol for Crooks' emotional state? He feels broken apart from society, due to the segregation laws that America had during the time in which this play was set?
The more acceptable term for black folks, is "black" people, folks, etc in the US. For Crooks, most people in the US would say or write, Crooks is a black stable .... African-American is losing favor with people now.
Thanks. I look forward to the day when white and black are no more meaningful than film or movie. In the meantime I’m delighted with the simplicity of the term black people.
You are a legend I hope that everything good happens to you. I feel so much more confident now and I am ready to do my exam this afternoon

+Mr Salles Teaches English Oh ok makes sense, thank you sir :)
Could the reason why Crooks leans to the left be Steinbeck referring to left wing politics and more socialist ideas of people being treated equally?
TheWoodyTree Nice idea

Could you say that the Shotgun shows that all men in the 1930s era would resort to violence to solve their problems?
Could you argue that the broken items in crooks' room are a symbol for Crooks' emotional state? He feels broken apart from society, due to the segregation laws that America had during the time in which this play was set?
+ExplosiveBandit Definitely!

I wounded if you would talk about Crooks's childhood memories ? When all the kids played together .
Racism is the ugliest thing that ever existed .
Wondered !
Yes, that would be very good evidence to use - especially as those other black families seem to have been forced out by the time of the novel.
@@MrSallesTeachesEnglish " Thank You ,
You have extended my curiosities beyond measure .
