bro these tips will help you a lot: 1- always breathe from your stomach (because that is the right way to breathe) and do some breath exercise 2- imagine ( all the time ) that you can talk normally and without any single stutter 3- feel your tongue when you are talking (and talk a bit slowly so that you can know what you will say before you speak) 4- do some tongue exercises 5- drink a lot of water so that your mouth is not dry 6- practice talking with yourself with a mirror or a camera (you should be watching yourself) and talking about anything you want to build the confidence to talk to others without being so nervous 7- try to control the nerves when you talking to others and try to stop for a second and take a breath (from your stomach) after every sentence 8- don't you ever think that you will stutter when you talking, and focus on the subject that you talking about ( make all your attention on the other person you talking with) 9- make your tongue light so you can pronounce the letters more easily 10- you have been stuttering for so long, so the journey of overcoming the strutter will take time, be patient and remember that speaking is air, the sound you make when you talk is literally air
Hey ! Thanks for sharing your experience with using marijuana to help treat your stutter. I personally have used weed recreationally in the past for about 4-5 years but I wasn't really paying attention to whether or not it reduced my stutter (too busy having a great time :D). In hindsight it may have helped me somewhat because it made me a bit less self-conscious and reduce some the social anxiety that came from me having a stutter. Also my speech tended to slur a bit and my body was more relaxed so I think my blocks weren't as bad or frequent. Had less hard blocks for sure. The thing is though, the effects don't last long. Partly because you develop a tolerance for weed over time and stuttering seems to adapt quick to drugs in general (like my ADHD meds). So I don't think this method of treating your stutter will work for some or even many (I think depending on the underlying cause of their stutter, ie. neurogenetic, trauma or stroke). I did though read a study that mentioned that supplementing with 300 mg of thiamine helped treat a fraction of people who participated in the clinical trial. The paper is called "Stuttering: A Disorder of Energy Supply to Neurons?".
I have social anxiety and when talking to others even to my family I feel veeery uncomfortable, and because of that I stutter a bit, hope I'll overcome my social anxiety and be talking confidently to others, and hope you do as well I really love your courage to talk about the thing you hate (but accepted) about yourself I'm proud of you bro❤
Hey bro, I am a physician. I have had stuttering since I was a kid. I managed to overcome 99% of my stuttering with cannabis and speech therapy, but cannabis played a crucial role. After almost 10 years of speech therapy and still stuttering, I had to try new methods. I ended up using cannabis, and it was absolutely amazing. However, we have to remember that cannabis is a drug, like paracetamol, and it depends on the right dose to be medicine or poison. CBD, THC, and other cannabinoids can really help with anxiety, but THC in high doses has the potential to increase anxiety. That’s why you need to take the right dose. Biting a little piece of gummy is not good; you never know the amount of cannabinoids that you are ingesting. You need oil with regular concentration and to adjust the medication to your needs. I am not saying that I know the truth, I am just sharing my experience.
