Hey the GZ will melt many ships. I saw a division one time in battle (my team mine you), the GZ proceeded to the cap immediately behind a DD. I thought well this CV player is in for a world of hurt and my teammate friendlies were BBQing him. Well he showed us. The DD set a long smoke and set hydro, the CV player slowed to a stop in the smoke. As enemy ships closed in on the cap the GZ began to literally burn down anything coming his way. Then as the smoke began to run out, another DD player set smoke in front of the CV and the three players repeated the tactic. Best bait and switch i had seen in a long time. The enemy team was fooled. Works well when no radar is around. One last thing thx SLM great video very useful!

Neptune is despite the massive Citadel, still extremely fun to play and it basically prints Dreadnoughts (and Flags back then) Really good line if you master them :D

I love Puerto Rico. Can hold her own against all cruisers and even a lot of battleships I've encountered. Love it when a cruiser keeps farming you while u busy....switch to AP and BYEEEE Farmer😂😂😂🙃
As a Graf Zeppelin main, I am appalled by how low she is on this list. She's obviously the best cruiser, especially when you consider the fact she has three- count them, one two three. Three spotting aircraft so you never have to stop shooting.

I am, obviously, referring to the legendary, famous Russian comrade ship, the Krasny Krym, aka the Krispy Kream, aka THE worst cruiser in the game, aka possible the worst ship in the game outright. While I always make my offerings to the almighty Algo overlord, I cannot hold back my disappointment the you forgot this ship Sea Lord...

I find the Dutch cruisers to be miserable until you get the tier 9 and 10. Though I do think the dispersion is a bit overdone and it could use a buff. A 40mm deck would also really help considering their short range
Japanese heavies are better than the lights IMO. Zao is pretty trolly, while Yodo explodes as soon a BB looks at it. HE and AP much better. The Omahas D? It's hard to play, but a nice way to learn. Love playing the Marblehead. Yoshino is hardly a A, since it takes damage easily. Torps are a little too situational. Exeter has low DPM, but heal helps a lot. Nevertheless: enjoyable and great video.
Ah yes... Clearly doing 2k damage every 11secs-ish if the target is clueless enough to get hit from 152mm shells at over 16km after shattering almost the entire salvo is way more dangerous than Zao's accurate rail guns that have an alpha high enough to deal almost 10k each salvo and setting the target on fire on almost every salvo. Clearly one of the best parameters of all times
I personally have a soft spot for Tone, mostly because the planes come in handy when needing to spot in the late game and the stealth is absolutely amazing. Its a very flexible playstyle with hella utility in the late game.
Tone is great and I love playing her. The main thing against her is the fact that Atago exists, but every cruiser has the problem of "It's not Atago, the greatest and most beautiful ship in the game."
I'm doing quite well using Tone in operations. Good guns, excellent torps. The planes are a good complimentary chip damage and spotting tool. Talking about operations, I think you missed the Weimar, a ship made for operations mode.

As a player with over 18k battles, i can confirm this list is BS :) First saying dutch cruisers are crap, then listing a 7 provincien 2 tiers higher then a Belfast :D
Omaha is only D tier if you play it like most T5 players seem to, which is to YOLO it into caps and the path of BB guns. If you play more cautiously and even if you just try spinning (that's a good trick!) it becomes an HE-spamming death blossom that is surprisingly effective at shutting down DD's and CL's.
I haven't played her since the launch of the game but even back then I felt the hate against her was overblown as long as you don't sail in straight lines. Also why single out the Omaha when the Phoenix exists, a ship with basically all the same problems but not enough guns to do her job until you upgrade her hull... twice.

WTF. Exerer is at least B tier. Mountbatten clearly playing her wrong. Shes on an equal parity with furutaka and the ability to overmatch cruisers with AP is ridiculously OP at the tier and the citadel is well protected if staying nose in because the citadel is so far back in the ship even russians have a hard time reaching it from the front. Also once again with these dumbass cruiser players. the constant complaints about bad citadels. YOU ARE NOT A BATTLESHIP. YOU ARE NOT MEANT TO TANK. YOU ARE MEANT TO DISH OUT DAMAGE. Being able tank a bit of damage is a playstyle choice. It is not an obligation of every cruiser mountbatten. Dont judge cruisers by BB standards. The bad citadel complaint keeps getting waived for some higher rank ships, but for others its a stick to beat them lower on the ranking. Its very inconsistant. Exeter gets beaten down for the citadel, yet indianapolis gets S tier despite her horrid citadel? Consistancy much????
Now that she can bounce 14" AP off her nose, like Pensi and New Orleans, she is actually useful, however I do agree S Tier is a bit much outside of ops, as 25mm plating is less useful at T7 vs Pensi having it at T6, but she should be A tier like the rest of the USN CAs,
I started playing right around the Royal Navy CA event. I quit the line after getting instantly deleted a few times in the Albemarle. Maybe I'll give it another shot now that I'm a better player.
@sealordmountbatten DeWitt has probably the highest ceiling of any t9 cruiser in randoms. The t6 and t7 are meh, but the t8-10 are all extremely strong in randoms with the airstrike mod and reload mod. Yes they punish poor play due to their closer range nature, but the elite AA and insane damage output ability if you're landing strikes is so insanely valuable. Sidenote: de7 is one of the most overpowered cruisers by tier in the entire game with how many strikes it can send in a game on top of being a solid CL without bombs
Absolute slander on Tulsa in D tier when the rest of the US CAs are A. Tulsa is at worst a sidegrade to Buffalo, and IMO is better. Same DPM (within a percent or two) but better turret layout, better conceal to radar range ratio, better manueverability.
I'm kinda surprised you just wrote of the Dutch CA. Admittedly, challenging to play, BUT: Of all the non-premium T8, Harlem's win rate is only exceeded by Cherbourg. When you include premium, it's 7th of ALL T8. And the 7 Provinces barely missed being in the Top 10. Not saying it's my favorite, but it's EASILY my highest win rate of T8 CA (35 games & over 70%). Suggestion for future videos: Maybe a "how-to" series on playing to the strengths of your ship, and protecting your weaknesses, to make you a better player.
IIRC years ago Soviet cruisers was my 3rd line. Didnt matter what i did with them, chunk chunk ded, not quite as bad as old Aoba pre ijn cruiser buff(s) but far from the RU bias i had heard about and perhaps expected to much of. Often times I'd stay at range and kiting around in sort of figure 8's or stuck behind a rock as enemy pushed. Only resulted in a prolonged the inevitable. Frequently struggling to break 40k dmg even in mid to high tiers. Sadly often being caught in cross fires, as my team turned and ran sgh.. or the other flank got pwnd and i'd be stuck in the wrong end of a pincer manoeuvre. Really far from enjoyable, apart from the time to target with shell velocity.
Despite brief commentary, I learned a lot about a lot of premiums I have no knowledge of, that fact that you avoid comment on a few as a joke sucks. My comments: Emerald kicks ass, its a T5 Mainz Seattle is just as good as Worster why are Jap light cruisers B tier? nothing good about them glaring omissions: Zao is still great, a heavy hitter, easily as good as Hindenburg Yorck has ray gun ballistics and accuracy where is the Latin American cruiser line? good guns, good torps, has radar, quite a lot better than say worster
Tiger 59 is one of my least favorite ships. But I keep playing it, and I keep winning. Statistically one of my best. You're always 1 stray shell from exploding in randoms, sure... But it's solid if you do your part. And it's God-Like in scenarios. Edit: I'm vomiting in my mouth that I have the gall to stick up for this turd.
Tiger '59 is a measure of how good a player actually is at a cruiser. If you can succeed in her, it means you're not a potato, so Tiger '59 is just a giant flex on inferior players 😉
Just watched the intro and had type this. Imagine having fun in a video game? The concept is exceedingly rare these days (in WoWS). I was having a great time playing Prinz Eugen and saw my strong lane struggling. So I speed over to help. A Tirpitz is the only one left, fighting a cruiser, at 80% hp. Im like okay he's got it, ima hunt this sub thats been chasing me. Tip DIES, flames ME in all chat, and after the game spam messages me "go back to comp and learn to play you f***" and I get harassed by this person so bad I can't play anymore because the spam so I quit. I did nothing to this person, and they literally drained the fun out of the game that I stopped playing. Sigh... sorry rant over. Back to the video =)

No Wichita? Small, stealthy, agile, fast, can radar almost as soon as she's detected, can run radar and hydro at the same time, has the faster US shells but keeps the improved autobounce, 27mm extremities, good AA, for what it's worth. Small citadel, good armor.. She was the top-performing US tier 8 cruiser for a long time and was in the top-10 tier 8s performance-wise.
in the last time u made really good publicity to this beatuy game, unfortunatelly players, especially kids need to be strong to not be involved in such a gambling game... its a kind of addiction, but if people can really stay away from that can enjoy free ships, coal ships and play occasionally for some fun... until they met 2 subs 3 dds and 2 cvs in the same game :))))) so.. how much for this publicity? ;)
The Indianapolis is not in tier 7 nor it is a premium in the tree, so this video is 5 months old and it is gone already. WG are ASSHOLES!!! A few people struggle with non premium accounts and take time to grind a line or two and WG still destroying the game for the sake of new ships.
Agree to disagree. With the near constant plain spotting and infinite amount of radars in game these days the British light cruisers are a joke as they eat citadels from pretty much anything. They might still work in a team or division, but in a random public game you will be fucked.

Exeter at D-tier? Are you kidding me? Exeter is one of the best cruisers in the game, tier for tier. Big citadel? Deal with it. Her guns more than make up for it.
I think the only one I fully disagree with is Hampshire. I think she's a very underrated ship. I do concede she's very unforgiving with no heal or smoke and being squishy as heck, but her AP-only shells are no joke with both improved pen and ricochet angles (Ie same as the UK CLs) so she will smash even T10 DDs and Cruisers and is more than capable of taking near-10k lumps out of any BB. Her turret set up means when you're kiting away, she can easily get four of her five turrets on target without exposing too much broadside and her AA is fairly effective, and she's stealthy and jukes really well. Anyone who can make the UK Light Cruiser line work would be able to get Hampshire to perform and there are times she feels almost overpowered.
Interesting list. Emerald imo is not complete F tier, it actually has the ability to do dumb torp rushes due to armour scheme, the likes which at T5 only Krasny Krim can pull off otherwise. D tier maybe. München getting Eurobeat background music tells me you found the main gimmick of the ship, which is the 38 knots speed with flag. Ngl, personally, I think it could rank as high as Mainz, as it is a tier lower and has basically the middle ground in dpm between Nürnberg and Mainz, but with incredible maneuverability and concealment. More fun toplay, especially as an open water dodge boat than Mainz with CA maneuverability and conceal. Appreciation for Goliath line and Yoshino are rare, but also interesting. It's nice to see people come around on these ships. Yoshino often gets maligned as the least tanky supercruiser, when it also is the only supercruiser with actually decent HE dpm, making it more flexible, while the Goliath is pretty much the cockroach indeed and has mini-Conq style "Idk about your armour or fire management" HE shells.

Yodo with its 18km range is laughing at Zao's "long range" of 16.2km

As a player with over 18k battles, i can confirm this list is BS :) First saying dutch cruisers are crap, then listing a 7 provincien 2 tiers higher then a Belfast :D
Omaha is only D tier if you play it like most T5 players seem to, which is to YOLO it into caps and the path of BB guns. If you play more cautiously and even if you just try spinning (that's a good trick!) it becomes an HE-spamming death blossom that is surprisingly effective at shutting down DD's and CL's.

I haven't played her since the launch of the game but even back then I felt the hate against her was overblown as long as you don't sail in straight lines. Also why single out the Omaha when the Phoenix exists, a ship with basically all the same problems but not enough guns to do her job until you upgrade her hull... twice.

WTF. Exerer is at least B tier. Mountbatten clearly playing her wrong. Shes on an equal parity with furutaka and the ability to overmatch cruisers with AP is ridiculously OP at the tier and the citadel is well protected if staying nose in because the citadel is so far back in the ship even russians have a hard time reaching it from the front.
Also once again with these dumbass cruiser players. the constant complaints about bad citadels. YOU ARE NOT A BATTLESHIP. YOU ARE NOT MEANT TO TANK. YOU ARE MEANT TO DISH OUT DAMAGE. Being able tank a bit of damage is a playstyle choice. It is not an obligation of every cruiser mountbatten. Dont judge cruisers by BB standards. The bad citadel complaint keeps getting waived for some higher rank ships, but for others its a stick to beat them lower on the ranking. Its very inconsistant. Exeter gets beaten down for the citadel, yet indianapolis gets S tier despite her horrid citadel? Consistancy much????
Moskva's citadel is worse than Omaha, which is why I never do anything but bow-in with her.

Now that she can bounce 14" AP off her nose, like Pensi and New Orleans, she is actually useful, however I do agree S Tier is a bit much outside of ops, as 25mm plating is less useful at T7 vs Pensi having it at T6, but she should be A tier like the rest of the USN CAs,

the Gouden Leeuw in F? you can litterally citadel any T10 BB in the game with its AP and erase every DD with your He shells.
If you can hit them that is, i disagree aswell, couldve definitely gone to C tier because they are excellent against battleships

@sealordmountbatten DeWitt has probably the highest ceiling of any t9 cruiser in randoms. The t6 and t7 are meh, but the t8-10 are all extremely strong in randoms with the airstrike mod and reload mod. Yes they punish poor play due to their closer range nature, but the elite AA and insane damage output ability if you're landing strikes is so insanely valuable. Sidenote: de7 is one of the most overpowered cruisers by tier in the entire game with how many strikes it can send in a game on top of being a solid CL without bombs

Absolute slander on Tulsa in D tier when the rest of the US CAs are A. Tulsa is at worst a sidegrade to Buffalo, and IMO is better. Same DPM (within a percent or two) but better turret layout, better conceal to radar range ratio, better manueverability.

I'm kinda surprised you just wrote of the Dutch CA. Admittedly, challenging to play, BUT: Of all the non-premium T8, Harlem's win rate is only exceeded by Cherbourg. When you include premium, it's 7th of ALL T8. And the 7 Provinces barely missed being in the Top 10. Not saying it's my favorite, but it's EASILY my highest win rate of T8 CA (35 games & over 70%). Suggestion for future videos: Maybe a "how-to" series on playing to the strengths of your ship, and protecting your weaknesses, to make you a better player.
IIRC years ago Soviet cruisers was my 3rd line.
Didnt matter what i did with them, chunk chunk ded, not quite as bad as old Aoba pre ijn cruiser buff(s) but far from the RU bias i had heard about and perhaps expected to much of. Often times I'd stay at range and kiting around in sort of figure 8's or stuck behind a rock as enemy pushed. Only resulted in a prolonged the inevitable. Frequently struggling to break 40k dmg even in mid to high tiers.
Sadly often being caught in cross fires, as my team turned and ran sgh.. or the other flank got pwnd and i'd be stuck in the wrong end of a pincer manoeuvre. Really far from enjoyable, apart from the time to target with shell velocity.

Tiger 59 is one of my least favorite ships. But I keep playing it, and I keep winning. Statistically one of my best. You're always 1 stray shell from exploding in randoms, sure... But it's solid if you do your part. And it's God-Like in scenarios.

Tiger '59 is a measure of how good a player actually is at a cruiser. If you can succeed in her, it means you're not a potato, so Tiger '59 is just a giant flex on inferior players 😉

Just watched the intro and had type this. Imagine having fun in a video game? The concept is exceedingly rare these days (in WoWS). I was having a great time playing Prinz Eugen and saw my strong lane struggling. So I speed over to help. A Tirpitz is the only one left, fighting a cruiser, at 80% hp. Im like okay he's got it, ima hunt this sub thats been chasing me. Tip DIES, flames ME in all chat, and after the game spam messages me "go back to comp and learn to play you f***" and I get harassed by this person so bad I can't play anymore because the spam so I quit.
I did nothing to this person, and they literally drained the fun out of the game that I stopped playing. Sigh... sorry rant over. Back to the video =)

No Wichita? Small, stealthy, agile, fast, can radar almost as soon as she's detected, can run radar and hydro at the same time, has the faster US shells but keeps the improved autobounce, 27mm extremities, good AA, for what it's worth. Small citadel, good armor.. She was the top-performing US tier 8 cruiser for a long time and was in the top-10 tier 8s performance-wise.

in the last time u made really good publicity to this beatuy game, unfortunatelly players, especially kids need to be strong to not be involved in such a gambling game... its a kind of addiction, but if people can really stay away from that can enjoy free ships, coal ships and play occasionally for some fun... until they met 2 subs 3 dds and 2 cvs in the same game :))))) so.. how much for this publicity? ;)

A few people struggle with non premium accounts and take time to grind a line or two and WG still destroying the game for the sake of new ships.
Agree to disagree. With the near constant plain spotting and infinite amount of radars in game these days the British light cruisers are a joke as they eat citadels from pretty much anything. They might still work in a team or division, but in a random public game you will be fucked.

Why is it all the good American premium ships are out of the game now? Alaska, enterprise, Massachusetts. The only good American premium left is the uss Kidd and nobody wants to play destroyers cause they are the most oppressed ship class in the game

I think the only one I fully disagree with is Hampshire. I think she's a very underrated ship. I do concede she's very unforgiving with no heal or smoke and being squishy as heck, but her AP-only shells are no joke with both improved pen and ricochet angles (Ie same as the UK CLs) so she will smash even T10 DDs and Cruisers and is more than capable of taking near-10k lumps out of any BB. Her turret set up means when you're kiting away, she can easily get four of her five turrets on target without exposing too much broadside and her AA is fairly effective, and she's stealthy and jukes really well.
Anyone who can make the UK Light Cruiser line work would be able to get Hampshire to perform and there are times she feels almost overpowered.

Emerald imo is not complete F tier, it actually has the ability to do dumb torp rushes due to armour scheme, the likes which at T5 only Krasny Krim can pull off otherwise. D tier maybe.
München getting Eurobeat background music tells me you found the main gimmick of the ship, which is the 38 knots speed with flag. Ngl, personally, I think it could rank as high as Mainz, as it is a tier lower and has basically the middle ground in dpm between Nürnberg and Mainz, but with incredible maneuverability and concealment. More fun toplay, especially as an open water dodge boat than Mainz with CA maneuverability and conceal.
Appreciation for Goliath line and Yoshino are rare, but also interesting. It's nice to see people come around on these ships. Yoshino often gets maligned as the least tanky supercruiser, when it also is the only supercruiser with actually decent HE dpm, making it more flexible, while the Goliath is pretty much the cockroach indeed and has mini-Conq style "Idk about your armour or fire management" HE shells.

It appears MY go-to British cruiser, HMS LONDON, was left off the list. I mean what can you say about a T6 with 203mm guns, Torps, smoke, AND A HEAL.
The biggest thing with London is it has normal (good) AP, unlike the mainline British CAs.
