Oddly enough, much of what you are demonstrating is close to what I found myself doing after 4 level lumbar fusion. Those moves are very similar for what I did the first 2 weeks at home. Also, not to gross people out, your explaining about digital stimulation is also handily needed after the lumbar surgery. A horrid time for a few weeks. So, whether you realized it or not, this is good info for anyone planning to have back surgery. You are so thorough and easy to understand. How do we get the word out about your suggestions to make life easier at times. You are Great! :)
For a T6 paralyzed from just below your armpits, you sure have learned to move your whole body really well! I am theoretically Able-Bodied (just arthritis and age), and I don’t think I move around in bed nor get up as well as you do. Brit, I applaud how much you have learned and the skills you have developed ! It is truly a blessing to others that you started this RUclips channel! Did you learn all this in Rehab, or by Trial&Error over the years?
It’s amazing how you have analyzed all the manoeuvres you make. You are a born teacher! I don’t quite understand at about the 2 minute mark of the video about pillow placement on your back - do you purposefully want to sleep on 3 different positions during the night? And, I must say, you are very strong in doing all that!
This is so incredibly helpful! I can’t explain it really… but there are many moves that I have not figured out and watching your videos teaches me brand new things to try. Thank you so much! 😋
Thank you for uploading this helpful video :) It's always nice to see how people handle their situaion. One thing I noticed about your wheelchair: Why did you remove the grab handles?
@@EmpoweredPara Sounds practical :) I just watched your introduction video and I must admit, you've come a long way since you got injured. You can really be proud of yourself that you're fully independent now
I have used all these methods over the years. Due to severe kyphosis I cannot sleep on my back. I can only sleep on my sides, so I do a lot of tossing and turning.
I love your videos I just found you about a week ago or maybe two my channel is all about Bible verses so if you ever have a bad day and you need to lift your spirits take a look at my channel have a blessed day and always remember that Philippians 4:13 says I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me and I do have cerebral palsy
I did not realize I was going to start a RUclips channel until about 3 or 4 months ago the Lord told me that people needed to hear his word especially in the time we are in right now if I did not have him I wouldn't even be here growing up as I'm pretty sure you know you know now because of your disability but I will say this people ask me all the time if I am mad at God and I say no because I was born with cerebral palsy so this is this life is the only life I know but when I was five years old I walk with crutches for about 5 years at the age of 10 I had surgery to correct a problem in my legs from the age of 10 on I was in a wheelchair for 27 years at the age of at the age of 37 in 2017 I joined gold's gym in Knoxville Tennessee from that point on I worked with a trainer for a year and on November 1st 2017 I took my first step in 27 years and if you look at my channel that will be one of the First videos that I have ever uploaded again God bless you and thank you for what you do
