Top tier Rom Com. One of the best I've ever watched. Lots of people moaning about the ending because it didn't end like a thousand other K Drama's with their wedding and a time jump forward with their kids. But that's why I LOVED this show. It did something different in a very familiar trope. It ends at the beginning of their love story and doesn't spoonfeed us their future. It hints and let's the audience imagine the rest. Perfection.
EXACTLY! Weddings are so typical and predictable. I absolutely loved how they were realistic about it. I mean, for someone who has been through a lot with cancer, putting her dreams on hold, and just rediscovered her passion for cooking-it was understandable Seok-ryu wouldn't want to rush marriage. Moeum wasn't there, she wanted to enjoy their relationship first since priorities after marriage can shift especially with kids, and focus on the restaurant. I couldn't agree more that they wanted to do something different and it made a lot of sense. I've read some complaints about the 2nd lead too like, why? Moeum always wanted to go to the South Pole. Dan-ho supporting her and his willingness to wait was beautiful, even visiting her there. I couldn't ask for a better ending, as well as the last scene of them bickering because that has always been the nature of their relationship. They're as close as siblings but they're lovers. Everything was wrapped up nicely. It wasn't a rom com that was shallow. I felt it had a lot of depth and layers, tackling family issues, trauma, complexities in relationships, the value of friendships and family, and the value of communication, and more. It takes a lot of maturity to appreciate stories like this.
@@KT-qp7wx Perfect explanation. Couldn't have said it better. That is who they are. Since childhood. They will fight, make up, and deeply love each other forever. That's my take anyway. It is, after all, a 'story'.
In this show I always thought that the male lead deserved more than what he has got as he is the one who is always one step ahead of her in showing his feelings and emotions but this scene one amongst which make me feel so happy that finally he got to listen what he always wanted and just his smile makes me feel how content the character must have felt♥️
He plays a similar role in Something In The Rain. He loved the FL in that drama way more than she did him. At the end, even with the happy ending, I thought he deserved more too.
Your comment shows me that people view things very differently. I saw a group of people who felt he was always rude to her and her ex was more deserving of a second chance. Meanwhile I loved their bickering and was glued to it from episode 1. I couldn't have endured 1 or 2 episodes a week tho. I did a marathon which was more fun.
One of my favourite scenes of the series. The script writing was simply beautiful and totally tugged at my heartstring, You can feel how deeply they loved each other. It emotions and body language feel too real to be acting.
Why do the females always grab the shirt instead of a hug. I hug is always and always much better. He can not feel the grab of his shirt ,like a good living hug. I wish KDramas would stop with the grab of the shirt or jacket and give a good hug
This scene seems fake and forced as someone writes below, because female lead hadnt shown she truly loved male lead at any moment, she was cold and distant with him, so her saying she loved him here is out of the blue and doesnt create emotion in the viewer
Then perhaps you need to watch the actual show where we see the flashbacks of them growing up and the multiple ways she shows her love without realising it or saying it and vice versa. Grown up love doesn't have couples making finger hearts at each other every 5 min 🙄
@@maritta01she loved this guy. Her actions spoke very loudly. It's the fear of losing him that made her realise how much. That 2 weeks of being away from him also made her realise her life was empty without him. She was also dealing with other challenges in her life, the discovery of her illness, break up of an engagement & her new career was not taking off like she hoped so we need to factor this in too. Putting myself in her shoes I can see I'd have struggled juggling all these dimensions.
@@mchiramba1823 in no way her actions spoke she loved him, on the contrary, she was distant, cold, bossy, arrogant and selfish with him most of the series. Keep deluding yourself
@@maritta01 we can disagree without resorting to insults. Some people felt that the ML was always rude to the FL & she shouldn't have accepted his proposal, that's their view. I personally wouldn't hang around a male bestie at that age, unless there was something more. Maybe you would🤷♀️
This scene didn'i make any sense. It looked like the screenwriter was writing the script week to week. The M/L's and especially the F/L's acting seemed fake and forced.

Agree. Im more love their ending sweet bickering. Thats actually real couple do in real life. Wedding scene is just too mainstream

Perfectly said , And I think he should get more, this was so less than what he deserves

@MISSYGful there's a reason why this series started being a success and ended up like a failure.

Is it just me who feels like these writers copied Queen of tears on this scene?
This bro is present in every K-drama 🗣🔥
No
Yep
yeah like immediately i thought “isn’t that a queen of tears thing?”
Yeah, it looks like qot second version. They copied most of it and from other dramas too.

This scene was so annoying.
