- Mangalajodi is an olden village under Tangi, Odisha block in Khordha district of Odisha at the northern edge of Chilika Lake. Scenic beauty of this village and its vast wetland attracts the visitors. In 2017 this village is declared and functioning as a separate Grama Panchayat (Mangalajodi Grama Panchayat)
Its vast wetlands attract thousands of migratory birds, journey from as far different places of the world. Its wetlands now host more than 1.5 lakhs of birds in the peak season. November to March is a good time to visit for enjoying an amazing experience. Its importance as a significant global wetland habitat and declared as an International Bird Conservation Area.

how much does the boat ride cost,?
Thank you so much...It depends on the boat you require....There are small boats and big boats too...The cost of a boat ride for 2 hours is Rs 1200/- to 3500/- depending on timing, self driven boat or motor boat ....

Hello Sir, we are planning to travel on 22nd December. Our train will reach Bhubaneswar station at around 9 pm. Will it be safe to reach Manglajodi on the same night? Or we should stay at Bhubaneswar and start by next morning. Thanks in advance 🙏
Hello Madam.... welcome to Johnny World, no you should stay at Bhubaneswar ...and it will be good to travel in the morning....and early morning is good to see the Birds....so you should reach before 9.30am to take the Boat from Jetty....

What is the price of boat ride?
It Depends on Boat and the distance you want to cover...so the minimum charge for 2 persons is 500/- in a Punt or Traditional Boat.
