University of Essex is situated in Colchester town, which is the oldest town of the United Kingdom, which is at a distance less than an hour by train. The University is established in 1965 by the royal charter.
This primary campus is spread on beautiful parklands of Essex - Wivenhoe park, and is spread in hundreds of acres of land comprising parks, lakes, residential towers, lecture halls, library, cafes, restaurants, bars.
The university is famous for its architecture having the only zero-carbon building for Business school in UK. The Albert Sloman library is an ‘icon of British design’ and has one of the four operating paternoster lifts in UK.
