I was signed to Bruce's 'Neon Music' in 1979 at the age of 17. He was very friendly to me, and called me 'The other Cliff'. When the snow was deep in London that winter, and I was trying to get back to my parents in Manchester, he asked me if I was stuck, and would I like to have Christmas with his family. My dear old Mum was thrilled when he phoned me on Christmas day to find out if I had made it home safely. I will never forget the kindness of this wonderful and talented man.
I've got Bruce's autobiography "Rock And Roll You Gave Me The Best Years Of My Life" which is a first edition, so I wrote to Bruce asking if he was ever up in the north west of England could I possibly meet up with him and get him to sign the book, I'd put my phone number in my letter and he phoned me up, we had a good chat and although he wasn't going to be up in my area he asked me to send him the book and he would send it back by return. Within a week I got the book signed with a nice comment added to his signature. A nice gesture from a nice man thanks Bruce.

Ruddy Bloody Brilliant!!
Fucking brilliant, as well ...
When I first took up the guitar Bruce Welch was the guy I tried to emulate, not Hank Marvin. His rhythm playing sounded great but was elusive.
100%
great !
Love that song when I went tattie picking
Where is Hank and others
Hank lives in Perth Australia
Is this from a S. O. D. S. do?
No its from Tony Hillers 80th birthday bash at the Hilton back in 2007.
Very poor recording...
It's at a birthday party not a professional public event!
Stop prattling Bruce ...get on with it.
