- HELLO AGAIN.
The Practical Animal channel is dedicated to the public understanding of conservation, aiming to give students the career hacks that may just give you the edge you need to get that dream animal job. To meet today`s guest we go to Africa. Andre Botha is a conservation thinker talking today about the African Vulture crisis. African Vultures, just like their Asian counterparts, have undergone a catastrophic decline over the past 30 years. The Red Data Book lists African vultures as either Endangered or Critically Endangered, and we desperately need quantifiable data on the ecosystem services they provide. According to scientists, Old World vultures first appeared in the fossil record at least 30 million years ago. Working with vultures, Living the wild life looks like this.
