One thing you missed is that it is very likely that the game isn't just localized, but was specifically created for the western market in the first place. The fact that all pre-release material, even in Japan, is in English, the game doesn't even have a proper Japanese logo, and Hardlight, the studio handling all of Sega's Apple Arcade releases, is a British team. Honestly, I think the intention with this game is more to get in new players than appeal to the existing fan base.
@@Wizzkidwas The thing is, numbers-wise Apple Arcade is actually very successful, especially with casual gamers. The hope might be to convert some of those casual gamers into hardcore competetive puzzle gamers, like Tsuu did back in the 90s.

As much as I'm praying for a multiplatform release, I think the game looks decent enough to where I'd give it a shot. REALLY praying for a multiplatform release tho.
I swear to god Puzzle Pop better get a PC and/or console release because I really would want to buy this game for Christmas just so I can play more Puyo Puyo modes.
This is why I'm trying so hard not to dislike SEGA decision making this apple arcade only. Cause this game gives me so much excitement. I would do so much to support them. it just, only for Apple arcade and that like probably half the globe or even 80% of the world that will miss out on this. And that is my only issue about it. I'm happy to see Tsu, fever, and other ruleset you normally see in anniversary games and chronicles. EVEN Giant Puyo made me excited and love to see what they have more in store. I would adore some more information on this, and hopefully, too. there will be more ways to get the game. I really can't say much other than waiting, and hopefully, we'll get some good news

I doubt this isn’t a side project from what I see some of the animations are using chronicles so this may just be a small side project made with models or leftovers from a bigger unrevealed project or just something that isn’t going to be all we get Also after the reaction to this I doubt sega will think that this is the games fault and not Apple Arcade’s fault a mobile release could work and maybe even an Apple Arcade + version would be good but Apple Arcade exclusiveness is no spot for games like this
I loved the video however one small thing really hindered my enjoyment. The music was quite loud making it more difficult to hear what you're saying. I'd recommend turning the music down quite a bit in case you ever make a similar video in the future

That cat thing is based on a old cartoon character known as "Kitsy Cat" also Puyo Puyo features characters who are from the cartoons.
