Brother look up the definition of modern first,
I travel a lot, each and every country have certain traditions which is unique to itself, different characteristics & qualities, but in no shape or form this elucidates that it’s not “modern”, just because it’s different in certain aspects.
so when you try to convey the notion that Iran as a country or culture is not modern, in other words you are trying to say, it’s not antiquated or obsolete, and this notion of yours is fallacious & misguided to say the least.

I found your channel, Sara, two days ago. And let me tell you, it's a breath of fresh air. Your calm and measured approach is really nice. Without much introduction let me describe the things I hate about Bulgaria.
    1. Smoking cigarettes. There are laws in place but nobody follows them. Smoking is everywhere and strangely, a lot more females smoke. That is right, maybe more than 90 percent of the women smoked regularly at some point in their lives. For a non-smoker and non-drinker like myself this is a huge problem.
    2. Drivers. Not very different than Iran. I have lived in the West for too long and every time I go back, I am scared to drive in Sofia, it's a mad house. They call it "The war on the road".
    3. Very often, the lack of politeness. When I use my best manners the people are shocked and freeze :) In the big cities like Sofia often you see rude people without smiles on their faces. But...right next to the Capital is located the majestic Vitosha mountain. For some reason the people who hike there during the weekend are very polite, often with strangers. This is very unusual behavior and not typical. Usually, they really need to know you for some time before they open up. And people who use public transportation are really, really rude. I feel there is a sport competition called "knees and elbows" and everyone is practicing for the Olympic games. Everything I said about the lack of politeness is much better in the smaller towns in the countryside.
    4. Marriage. Often you don't just marry a girl or a man, you marry her/his whole family. It is incredibly frustrating because the parents and other relatives can and will in many cases ruin your relationship. Some young people are almost "in love" with their mothers. And the relatives are so inconsiderate, they always believe their actions are for your own good.
    5. Bribes. The culture of bribes is ingrained in the fabric of society and this is so sad.
    6. Superstitions. Many people believe that if something particular happen it is a sign that something else will occur. For example, if your mom of grandmother forget to splash water in front of your house before a major interview or exam, you will fail. And pouring water before and behind you if you are travelling far away. Sometimes they even say something like "Wish you to have a luck like flowing water". There are many superstitions and people believe in good or bad luck. Very, very annoying. Many people even believe in curses and they are going to special women who supposedly can help to get rid of the curse. Also, burning certain herbs and frankincense and smoking the house to get rid of a curse or to purify from negative energies. Of course, not everyone is so superstitious. My family is not.
    That's it :)

Very interesting and informative text. On the smoking bit... Luckily it is kind of Taboo to smoke, in Iran, because most people associate it with taking drugs, but there is a huge drug problem. On the throwing water after you when you go away for a trip, its the same in Iran!.and also the same with interfering in laws in the personal relationships of married couples. All the best.

Please make a video with your parents where they share about how they consider Iranian households, how they think about the present generation, their expectations, their hobbies, what they think about the generations before theirs ie their parents and the present generation. I think it will give a reflection of the great cultural legacy that present generation in Iran like you have inherited over many generations. Also request to avoid political questions or political references because every country in the world has it's own political issues and that will not be correct or in good taste to comment on political system of a country and lot of divergent viewpoints will be there. request to make it only social, family, how they raised children, what values they prefer to pass on to children and how they conveyed it, friends circle related etc whatever your parents are willing and it would be nice to listen to Iranian parents viewpoints.

I wouldn’t describe “taarof” as too much politeness. It’s more like exchange of greetings and pleasantries when two people meet each other and it might last up to 3 or 4 minutes. Sometimes, it happens in other contexts. For instance, offering food or snacks to a guest. Overall, it’s quite annoying especially considering the fact that it’s not done sincerely.

Thanks Sara 🙏🏼 I really appreciate your honesty in your videos 😍
I love watching your videos about your run today. Because I haven’t been in Iran for more than 40 years and I am planning to go there as soon as the pandemic is over. When I was a kid I live in Darband in north Tehran. I will if you could make a video from that area 🙏🏼since I have no pictures from my time there. I remember you we have to cross a bridge over the river Darband to get to our house.

11- People who are just so brand minded. Come on, Iran chocolate industry is very good. You pay one third of the amount that you pay for swiss chocolate in Iran and you get a very decent chocolate. Of course there are cheaper ones that are not as good as more expensive ones.
12- People who don't like lamb head. It is delicious.

Hate is a very strong word and should NOT be used in such a casual manner , “you don’t like the heat” relays the message but when you say you hate the heat is just not proper use of the word hate and not good English. It’s just an ugly way to express yourself

    1. Taxi drivers are mostly good with foreigners but they try to scam because you don't know the difference between tuman and rial
    2. Temperature is bearable didn't have much problem compare to India my country.
    3. Yes I dated iranian girl they are so much into money
    4. Yes currency is really cheap but foreigner visiting iran doesn't have much problem.
    5. Common Kaley bachey is best I really liked it.
    6. Tehran is best normally but when winter arrives it's really hard to breathe too much pollution I live in India where there is so much pollution but it's nothing compare to iranian cities in winter.
    7. Chocolates I didn't try them alot but I love iranian shirni it's the best👍
    8. I liked your videos and keep up your work and remove the misconception people have about Iran. I suggest lot of people to visit iran once, it's really a wonderful country with wonderful people tourist friendly.
    9. Taroof Yes it's soo much but I am sure traveller's will love it unless they don't plan to live in iran and find out it's all fake. Just like I did and found out😜

We love Kalleh Pache, it is also traditional in Turkey and doctors advices for health. I dislike the museum and historical places price in İran. You have diffrent ticket prices (much higher) for Tourists. For example all Gülistan Palace tickets price is 20 Euro for non-İranian. So this is not only economic matter also gives bad reputation and discrimination image.

    1. In Serbia that is expected. You see a passenger crossing the street? Full gas and let him run if he values his life. And if someone tells the idiot that he will kill someone, he will go back and argue with him like the biggest brute imaginable. And in case you are wondering, yes he will block entire road.
    2. We don't have Autumn or Spring. Well we do technically, but our climate goes from 0 to 40 Celsius real fast. For some reason everyone is always surprised that it is hot in July or that it snows in December, especially our government, every single year.
    3. That is worldwide problem and not just related to women, but also to men altough it is expressed in different way.
    4. Dinar isn't in good place, especially when you look at Euro. At least it's not 90s dinar with hyperinflation.
    5. Check Belgrade. City of 2 million is often ranked as high as Shangai. In 2020 everyone tought I wore mask because of virus, but truth is I wore the mask because of pollution.
    6. I would rather accept fake politeness, then what we have in Balkans. You wear rudeness and general lack of manners as badge of pride, especially on table. To say I hate this with every inch of my being would be understatement.
    7. Alright, we do have nice chocolate, better then other Europeans if you ask me.
    8. Still better then Grand Parade. At least, you don't lose brain cells watching Iranian music videos.
    9. I saw it on few places. I honestly don't want to try something that reminds me of living being.
    10. Our trafic is really bad. I had a friend who went to university same as me, who lived in city close to me. it took me same time to arrive to my university by traveling from my house to university in same city, as much as my friend from other city to university in my city. No comment.

But people have the wrong mindset. They can even say they don't like some kind of food and never even tasted it.
Also it depends what country you grew up in. You learn in young age what to like or not. Or what is not acceptable to eat.
I have lost count on how many countries I have lived in. So, I have tried all kinds of food with no bias.
And I can say I like everything more or less. But I don't dislike anything.
