Great result. Love the car, love your work and love your daughter. Watching you work on the Valiant reminds me so much of younger me working on my 65 V100 wagon and Barracuda. Such simple but well engineered cars that you could make into something fun to drive. Thanks for letting us in on the fun.
I have a 66 Plymouth belvedere and a 78 Nova that I have done carpet and interior work!! It takes a lot of time and you have to pick your battles!! Great job!!
Beautify job all around! For the sketchy drivers sill plate,I recommend you buy any used ‘62 Valiant sill plates you can locate. They can be from a two door, four door, drivers or passengers side and they don’t need to be perfect - all you need are sections long enough to replace the corroded part of your rare 2 door sill. The stamped vertical pattern is your friend - square off the eaten away parts by cutting vertically, and lap the clean sections taken from donor sills (keep the top edge in place from your sill). At least you won’t have voids anymore. Just a suggestion from someone who always found the ‘62 MoPars appealing.
Thank you for the suggestion. We actually bought a messed up grill for our 64 Belvedere as a small section was eaten away by ice cream salt, yes it's true, and was planning on doing the same thing to that. Didn't think to apply the same process to the 62 sill plates, probably because anything for this car is difficult to find, and I was only thinking 2 door stuff. Thank you again.
We will put that tip in our toolbox. Leaving it in the sun didn't help, I believe it either was not the correct carpet, or they just call it 62 as it's close enough in their minds to the 63 and up.
Nothing like being comfortable while working! We would like to get some 'shop' shirts, unfortunately other things take precedence, as we all are aware.
Auto Custom Carpets, aka ACC, less expensive to order through Summit, but the ACC website is good for looking through options. I have their carpet in my 64 Fury and 62 Dart and they fit perfect. Got the rubber backing for my 62, good stuff.
Not sure, my understanding is only the Signet 200, which was the two door hardtop, came standard with bucket seats, and there were not many made. No idea if bucket seats were an option on other models, 2 door sedan, 4 door sedan, wagon.
Thank you very much, happy others enjoy the videos. We like to watch just to see how far we've come, wish we recorded the Fury wagon and Dart from the beginning, but there is still work to do on those.
Is very good !!! In my car... VALIANT 1962 one this day make is work. Congratulations !!! from Argentina
Love your kid’s sense of humor. Reminds me of doing projects with my daughter.
Thank you very much. Daughters are the best, imo.

Thank you so much! We love wagons and Barracudas, we have one of each. Wagons rule!
Amazing how nice the interior looks. Well done!
Thank you very much!

Thank you, always liked the Nova, had a 68 years ago. Picking battles is great advice.
Finished watching the video. The interior came out awesome. Love the push button transmission. Reminds me of my parents 63 Belvedere wagon.
Thank you very much. We also have a 64 Belvedere wagon, pushbutton auto. Love those 63s too.

Hot tip use a hot air gun or a powerful hair dryer and blow hot air above the carpet it makes shaping the carpet so much easier...
We will put that tip in our toolbox. Leaving it in the sun didn't help, I believe it either was not the correct carpet, or they just call it 62 as it's close enough in their minds to the 63 and up.
Good job
Thank you!
just like new
Thank you. Grateful that most of it is original since no one makes this stuff.
Good job done by the kid and yourself. Not sure about the kids work clothes. Looked like PJ'S to me. 😂

Wish a company would engineer a retrofit three-point seat harness.
You & me both, and power windows!
Where did you get a carpet kit? Looking for one for my 64 belvedere.

Thanks. Your cars are looking good. How's the 64 belvedere?
Got it back on the road!

Congrats. If your interested in. 4 door let me know. 318 poly runs and drives cheap
how many were made with bucket seats?
